So there are a bunch of parking lots for visitors. This one is across the main road from the historic village, it's a really short walk only. There is plenty of parking, the spaces are big enough for SUVs as well. Usually it is metered parking here, but during Corona the took the paying machines away, so parking was free! An easy, safe spot to park your car.

Offered a PCR test with result in two hours…read more This parking lot here is in an easy walking distance to the town center and at the same time easy to get to and easy to find, since you don't have to drive through the whole town, just drive along the bay area and there you go.... The hourly rates were fair and the spaces big enough for a mid-sized SUV. Clean and safe as well. Surely would choose this spot again when back in Santander.

If you don't mind a walk (and wanna see the beach at the same time), then this parking lot is a good option. It's easy, it's safe and there are plenty of lots. Be aware that - as in many spanish towns - they check the meters quite often, be sure to make it back in time. It's only about a 10' walk from here to the town center. But with lots of stairs, not a good option if you have a stroller or wheelchair, you could go the long way around though, but that at least doubles the time. But for us it was fine. It's cheaper than in the center and it's easy to find an empty spot. There is also a public free toilet not far from here.

It was during Covid-19, but the lot was still almost full. But we got a spot, our SUV fitted without problems. Usually a metered parking lot, it was free during this time. It's really only a few meters away from the charming village center with all the sights and restaurants. Easy to find, easy to park. A nice and safe place to park your car.

And this lot here - besides a few spots up by the Antenna - is as close as you can get. It's a pretty big lot. There is a good number of spots just by the street, trees providing some much needed shade. And if all these spots are taken then there is the big unpaved, grassy parking lot at the same location. We managed to get a good spot by the street, partly in the shade. From here it's an easy walk to the path leading to the Cabo. It's a convenient parking lot. And it's free.
