I came into the shop with 2 packs of 24 inch Cuban black hair 2 packs of the small Cuban black hair, 1 pack of blonde Cuban hair & 1 pack of blonde twist hair. THEY STOLE MY BLONDE PACKS AND BLACK PACKS. Disgusting and pathetic. When I got there I asked the hippo looking one where the hair she stole was located. She wanted to act dumb then talk to her employees in their language because I'm about to expose them. So I Wales into the room where I saw her place my hair and guess what.. I found SOME of my blonde hair! I asked them where the rest of my hair was and they said to speak to the manager (Pida) I called her to come into the salon and we spoke. I took video. Pida did not apologize for her staff stealing my hair and tried to blame me for "buying the wrong hair" Even if I bought the wrong hair that doesn't give YOU THIEVES the right to STEAL my hair. Not only that but they did a sh*t job. They didn't do my hair as I requested and it's uneven af! [Apparently you can't add video from your camera roll? Only pictures? Well in any case I recorded everything from when I entered to when I left.] I'm sure they used or sold the other pack of blonde twists and black Cuban hair that they referred to as "macaroni" hair. Anyways I told those bums to keep the $140 since they obviously need it if they have to steal from their clients. Pida said that the hippo girl told her they were out of my blonde hair which is bull shit because I bought TWO PACKS OF BLONDE HAIR! And they only put in 7 LOCS OF BLONDE IN MY HEAD!! The locs aren't thick at all!! do the math ladies those Africans stole the rest. The "macaroni" textures hair was missing I only found the one in the picture and you can see their cheap yellow hair mixed into mine.. I'm so pissed, disgusted & HIGHLY disappointed by these women. The only thing Pida offered was to do box braids for me for free. She even offered to fix my hair but I said no cause if you couldn't get it right the first time AND you stole from me why tf would I trust you to get it done correctly the second. And plus my scalp was still sore from that old lady being rough with me after I and Pida told her I'm sensitive. DO NOT COME HERE! They connected my baby's iPad to wi-fi, so communication was not an issue. They call when they are about 20 minutes from being done. Shakeira started on my kid's hair immediately. And she was done in 2.5hrs which is more than responsible. My kid and stylist decided on style of braids. The total look and experience was beyond my expectations. Braids neat. The kid said there was no discomfort and Shakeira gave her breaks in between. Shakeira gave recommended treatments for upcoming appointments, but honestly look no further. The hype is well worth it. She takes time to study you, your style, and your hair needs. With just a look or touch, she's able to immediately know what your hair requires. After wearing crochet braids and not seeing Posh for several years, I was able to reach out and send a picture of the look I wanted. Using the picture I sent and what she remembered about my hair texture, Posh was able to make recommendations to me over the phone around texture matching and was already pre-planning for my appointment. From just a picture Posh was able to color my links and my hair at different times and it looked like it was done at the same time. They also agreed that what I experienced was unacceptable and informed me of other ways I could have had my voice heard. You never truly forget how someone made you feel and I feel led to leave a review here so that future clients are a least aware of how this stylist may handle mistakes. First, I wanna say that this stylist does create a comfortable environment for her clients. At my appointment, she had good music playing and was easy to talk to. She had her natural hair out, which made me feel like I was in good hands especially considering it had been years since my last press. As she was preparing to flat iron my hair, the usual flat iron she used died and she had to pull out a different one. If I remember correctly, she would typically use a black ceramic one and the day of my appointment, she used a titanium (silver babybliss) one. From what I know now, titanium irons heat faster and typically need to be handled with more care than ceramic irons. This is where everything went downhill but I didn't know it yet lol...I enjoyed my deep condition and she trimmed my hair very well. My silk press came out nicely and I thought everything was alright. An hour or so after my appointment, my scalp started to feel sore and gradually got worse as the days dragged on...Initially, I'm thinking that my scalp is sore because I haven't had my hair pressed in years and of course heat on your scalp has never been the most comfortable thing. So I put heatless curls in my head and let it be. However, a few days later I noticed that there were dark marks scattered throughout my scalp which I realized were burn marks. They were on the smaller side but it definitely hurt. It's almost worse that they were small and in several different places rather than just in one centralized location. I took pictures of the ones I could easily see and texted her via the number styleseat provided. She did not answer for a few days and I then reached out via instagram where I was able to get a response. She apologized for her delayed response and then mentioned that me reaching out days later was unfortunate, but did offer a scalp treatment on my next visit and recommended tea tree oil for my scalp. Even though I thought it was thoughtful, ultimately I let her know coming back so soon would give me anxiety. To me, it was an uncomfortable power dynamic because god forbid something else went wrong. So instead, I asked for a partial refund of $39 which was half of the $78 silk press--not including the add on services. Which I felt like was more than fair considering my scalp was burnt. She then told me she does not offer refunds for completed services and did not apologize for the damage done. I understand this policy in certain situations, however when there is actual damage (which took a while to heal btw) caused to someone, I feel like exceptions should be made. I did at least try to partially dispute it with my bank through an automated system, but failed to actually speak to someone, which obviously did not lead anywhere. Lol but you win some and you lose some. What I feel like was the most disappointing part of this experience was that not too long after our conversation, I tried to leave a review on style seat and I discovered I was blocked from booking and leaving a review. Being blocked from booking was fine because I was too traumatized to go back anyways, but now I can't even leave a review? #wereyousilentorwereyousilenced Lol I was honest, fair, and respectful anytime I communicated with her so to proactively block me from sharing my experience was extremely disheartening and unprofessional. It really is less about the money and more about how I was treated afterwards. I feel like some stylists hold their clients to standards that they don't even follow themselves. Because how was me bringing this to her attention 4 days later (the approximate time it took for my scabs to form) an issue, but she also responded to me 4 days later as well? Mind you, I had to reach out through two different communication channels to get a response...Why aren't clients given the same grace? I don't expect much to come from this especially since it was so long ago. Although, I do hope that this helps someone in the future in case this behavior is a pattern. Anyways, this is just a warning to customers that regardless of the high ratings you may see, some stylists may be suppressing reviews so just be careful!
