This is my favorite ethnic market in El Paso. It's our mini HMart. I am pretty sure it is Korean owned, but it does also stock a good selection of other assorted Asian ingredients, too. A very good selection for the size of the store. They have limited produce and side dishes, but they are excellent quality. The refrigerated cases and the two large frozen sections are excellent. They also sell a good variety of base ingredients, oils, vinegars, soy sauces, jangs, spices, seasoning mixes and condiments. And a whole aisle of instant ramen and other instant noodles! Heavy on Korean options, but they also have some Japanese, Indonesian and other offerings. There are tea and snack sections too. And a good rice selection - multiple varieties of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai and more. Service is always quick and efficient. Enjoy shopping here for Asian groceries and vegetables. It is a good size market and pricey but has the necessary ingredients and products I need. It definitely has more products to choose from than Saigon Market. These are the only 2 Asian markets in El Paso. Coming from CA where the Asian markets are huge and price are decent. Getting use to the higher price difference of $3-$9 on products. The cheaper gas helps offset the cost I guess. Will continue to shop here since it has what I need. The food I bought was expired for 3 months and the food was molding. I informed the owner and took back the product, and they didn't except it and was very rude. Sooo happy I found a good Asian market in El Paso! Well, my husband actually found it. But my point still stands! I'm originally from Southern California so there's plenty of Asian markets to choose from. Out here, not so much. It's nice to have found a store that has a bunch of different options when it comes to Asian cuisines. There was another market my husband I had visited more in the southern area of El Paso and it wasn't bad, but it didn't have nearly as much products as Arirang. Not only that, but they have the pre-packed pickled radish I have been looking for! I was so surprised they had it, I had to grab a couple containers. They also had the panang curry sauce my husband and I had been looking for a couple weeks ago. Too bad we didn't know about Arirang at the time or else we just would have come here instead of the other store we went to. I just love this store. I get my brown rice here which is cheaper than the one at Sprouts. I also like the fresh veggies, especially the fresh okra, ampalaya, eggplant & long green beans to complete my "Pinakbit". Just a heads up, their supply/delivery truck comes every Wednesday ! I have visited this store several times and can't believe I haven't left a review. The store is convenient and has a lot to offer if you are looking for Korean food. I spent several years in Korea and reminded of the great food when I come here. From snacks to frozen Korean meals to the various types of ramen, there is a plenty to choose from here. For El Paso, this is a gem if you crave international food. I recently discovered Joong Boo market in Schaumburg IL. 2-weeks ago. This place sell some of the difficult to find Ramyun noodles. I return later in the day to buy some to take home (Lakeland, FL). Service is as expected and ambiance is as good as it gets for a market. Nice and clean. read more

I usually find what I'm looking for when I come to Arirang. There are certain days that are definitely better to go than others because of the shipments that come in but overall, it's the best Korean market in town. It's diverse in options and typically, there is always someone available to help you find something. The prices are comparable to most grocery stores and you can venture out and try new foods. I definitely refill on my snacks! You can't find them in the regular grocery stores so when you go, buy a lot if you're a snacker like me. Once you pop, you can't stop lol. read more

I would give it more stars but since they don't carry the seasoning for my samgyeopsol-gui, I need and the prices for the Korean coffee I drank all the time when I lived in Korea. Who in there right mind would pay 20+ for a small box of coffee. I have to have my coffee mail to me from Korea. Very decent market with many many different Oriental items, mostly Korean and Japanese. Some very interesting food items, and a great place to find new unfamiliar stuff. Wish we'd have known this was here years ago as they have several items (and lots of them!) that I could only find online. We now go there pretty close to monthly to stock up (we don't live in town). read more

Coming from CA Bay Area and being Filipino and Hawaiian, we came across Arirang Market to compare to the few other Asian markets in El Paso. So far, this is the best one for a variety of Asian foods - for cooking gadgets & other household items, dry goods, produce, and frozen items. There are also fresh delicacies you can pick-up if available before being sold out. The store also didn't smell as bad as others we are familiar with. Good prices too. read more

My favorite Asian market! I'm so used to shopping at big Asian stores in Long Beach and Las Vegas so I was a little worried about getting certain cuts of meat and spices but this place has been great to me. I live on the Eastside of El Paso and there is very limited items at A Nearby Asian market out here. I'm originally from California and there are TONS of International markets out there. I'm vegetarian and have been on the hunt for King Oyster and Enoki Mushrooms for sometime until I went in for a Manicure and the owner told me about Arirang Market. Coming from Korea to El Paso, I thought I would never see some of the foods I enjoyed in Korea again. I stumbled unto this place by just googling Korean food and it brought me here. This place has it all. They have a whole aisle just from instant ramen. Ramen from Japan, Korea, and some from other countries too. I found my sesame ramen here that I thought I would never see again. They also have premium Sapporo Ichiban flavors not sold in other stores like the commissary on Fort Bliss. If you're not into instant ramen they also have frozen ramen that comes in the bag in the freezer aisle. A very good Asian grocery store in El Paso. It's a little far from the Westside, but if you happen to go towards Northeast, it's conveniently located on Dyer. You should be able to find almost anything you need for your Asian cooking. This store is very clean and well-lit. There's a section of cooking utensils, dishes, gift items and general merchandise. There are some very nice special gift items you may want to purchase. Frozen, chilled, dry goods and produce sections are well stocked. There are very good selection of instant noodles and deserts enticing you to buy more stuff. Home cooked gimbap rolls are $2.50 a roll (usually comes in a package of two). Sometimes they offer tray of chapchae noodles for you to take home for your quick meals. I went trying to get some enoki mushrooms for my daughter because of something that she saw on tiktok and the male in the front started looking at me up and down as soon as I went into the store. Then when I proceeded to walk to the cashier after paying for my stuff he just basically threw the bag at and and told me he wasn't going to give me my receipt. Not to mention he said have a nice night to everybody else except me and this other poor old woman in line. Never coming here again. read more

First time visiting here and went out of our way to shop at this location. It's quite far from home but wanted to check it out. My mom was going to buy Chinese sausage that had a sign for $6.99. After checking out she noticed she was over charged for $9!!! The guy working at the front was very rude! I don't know if he was the owner but he acted so irritated and inconvenienced having to go check the price, but before he checked he was adamant the price was $9. Didn't offer to adjust the price or apologize for the mixup. You have to really be cautious and pay attention to prices. SOME items are marked and many DO NOT have prices. It's very shady, depending on their mood or their judgement, they're able to input what ever price they want at the register at their discretion If they don't like you for whatever reason or they're having a bad day. I'm glad I ONLY bought items that were clearly priced individually. This guy needs to be more nice, before life humbles him real quick. He keeps it up with this attitude acting like he has a chip on his shoulder, he won't have this shop one day. It's too bad... This market has so much to offer, lots of variety but I don't want to support local businesses who have rude people running them and word of mouth travels fast, soon many won't want to come here. I sure won't be coming back! We ended up going to a different Asian market afterward and the price for the Chinese sausage was $6.99. Everytime I'm in the northeast, I spend money and want to stop at different places! I'm usually there because of work. The other day I went to the DMV on Hondo Pass so I was there again. Had I waited to go to another DMV, it wouldn't be until at least October or December to renew my drivers license! I was told I wouldn't be able to do it online. I'll do another review about that experience soon. Anyway... I've driven by this market several times. I decided to finally check it out and see what it was about. I'm really glad I did it. It was a pretty unique experience for me. I've had some Asian snacks some years back. This market has plenty of snacks...Cookies, chips, cakes, popcorn, you name it. They have lots of chilis and spices. There's refrigerators full of drinks like: Teas, sodas, boba teas (not a fan of these unfortunately), coffee, etc. There's also shelves full of noodles and veggies. There was lots of cooking and cleaning supplies. The prices are a bit steep. It's probably because the items are mostly imported from overseas. I get it. I bought a few snacks and spent $18 and change. Will I come back? Definitely soon! I forgot my grandma's almond cookies! The customer service was fast and friendly. The store was also clean and neatly organized. A couple of the Yelp reviews say the majority of the items are Korean here. Great experience! read more

Arirang Market reminds me of what the Korean store by the Han's gym (because I seriously don't remember what it's called) was like back in the day. Shrimp chips and pocky and little jello shots with fruit in the middle. That's exactly what my childhood is made of. J T is right, a majority of the products are Japanese and Korean and maybe I'm a little biased, but Arirang has everything I want and more. The store is well organized and clean. The section for produce seems a little smaller than Wan Jia Le's, but it's all reasonably priced. Fresh foods are readily available and there's some desserts too that always look pretty delish. There's three or four isles with a good selection of products. Arirang has become my go-to for a lot of things that I can't find anywhere else. Oh and did I mention they have giant Pocky? Living in a small, isolated city like El Paso makes one appreciate ethnic (Korean precisely) grocery market like Arirang. It offers a large selection of fresh groceries, Korean side dishes, pastries, frozen seafoods and meats, instant ramens... the list is surely longer than I can remember. Every time I patronize Arirang, I am confident I will find what I need/want to cook not just a tasty Korean meal, but other Asian ethnic dish I venture to cook at home. I must agree with other reviewers that the owner (older Korean man who always appears to be working on his laptop) lacks customer service skills and can come off rude, but he does know where even the rare items are located in his market, so he is helpful occasionally but only if you speak Korean. The rest of his staff here are absolute pleasure to deal with. read more

This is the only Asian grocery store I would go to. The store is much larger and nicer than any of these other Asian stores. The stuff they sell are more fresh and not expired. A lot of them are Korean products but they do carry Japanese products too. They also sell some kimbops and fresh breads from bakery. They sell not only groceries but they also sell bowls and cooking equipments. I bought some bowls for miso soup there. read more
