Shanne left us out to dry when preparing our taxes. She didn't finish them by April 15 so she filed an extension and we were advised by her to pay the irs for any possible late fees. After April 16 we never heard from her again, even after several emails and phone calls. By mid-July we gave up and had another tax preparer finish the job. I had my taxes done by Shannon (as I have for the past 4 years) April 2022 for tax year 2021. I paid for it I signed for it but it was never sent to the IRS or to Arizona. I have emailed Shannon several times I have called several times but of course her mailbox is full. Neither IRS or state of Arizona has received my file. I have medical bills to pay that I planned on using my tax return. I am getting charged because they never received my file and I have hospital bills going into collection. If I could give this firm a 0 stars I would. Shanne Youngblood, the owner was always difficult to contact as she would not return calls or reply to eMails in a timely manner. The last time I took my 2020 Tax information to an old neighbor of hers to have faxed, She never got the paperwork that she sent to the IRS and Arizona Tax bureau. She was supposed to contact me when she came to Tucson and was supposed to get me the paperwork and then was going to pay her. She never got in touch with me in the beginning of 2022 and I eventually paid her. She charged me $35 more than the Invoice which I disputed with the credit card company and they were in my favor. I also called and sent Shanne several eMails and she never called back or replied to my eMails. I filed a complaint with the BBB and she never responded to them. I met with the owner of AZB&A in Nov-2019 & explained that my situation needed immediate attention (i.e., by Jan-31-2020). I paid a retainer immediately after receiving her invoice the first week of Dec-2019, then didn't hear from her again unless I pinged her. By late Jan-2020, after pinging and begging for every status update from her, I finally learned that nothing had been done. You can see when your accountant accesses your Quickbooks, and there was no log of her access. In part for her defense, she mentioned a personal family emergency right before Christmas. That said, she never explained that she wouldn't be able to work on my taxes for months, never provided any communication that wasn't initiated by me, and never offered a timeline of what I should expect. As a small business owner myself, if I treated customers like this, I would lose a lot of business and referrals. read more

I did use their service for a few years. They did well initially. Over the last 1 year I noticed that they have hard time turning any call back. This year I tried to do my thanks. She advised me to submit for extension. She said that she is can work on it and email it to me. It has been 5 months. I am unable to get hold of her by phone or by email. I even went to her office twice but it was closed. I did get an email back out of the blue 2 weeks ago. She said that my paperwork were sent in the mail 2 weeks ago. I have not received anything. I am calling them again. The phone number does not go through. She does not answer the email either. I will strongly advise against their service. I am just trying to get my paperwork so I can move to a different accountant. read more

Similar to another reviewer, I provided owner with all required tax documents. I received an email confirmation of receipt. This was several months ago. During this time I called and left several voice messages and also sent several email messages requesting a status update. I never received a response. Ultimately I ended up using TurboTax to file. My 10 year plus bookkeeper retired in 2012. She recommended Arizona Bookkeeping and Accounting to me before her retirement.
