My oldest dtr did wonders here and got scholarships to university so there was not really a lot to pay out of pocket. My middle dtr did not thrive here because she didn't want like school as much and didn't want to go to university. She went on to trade school. She is going well also. In the end, to each their own. They are liberal arts catholic school. Lots of extra circular but the sports teams are not state ranked and if that is a concern go elsewhere. It wasn't for us. I would enroll my dtr here again for sure.

I can't really tell you much about this school since I'm a guy but I've heard a lot from my friends…read moreand I think I can shed more light on the place than some 7th grade lesbian who uses words like, 'h***hole.' This is a school for smart kids who take their education seriously. They want to go to elite schools when they graduate and are willing to forego a lot of the high school fun to get a real education. This is the kind of place where there are no hall passes and attendance is a given. There aren't any bells ringing and the class sizes are small. Everyone does their homework because it matters. The school is surprisingly liberal for a Catholic school. They focus a lot on things like social justice and community service. Kids wore their Obama buttons to class and worked for progressive candidates. It is not a bad place. Don't listen to some Atlanta wobbly-puss who flunked out in the 7th grade and has carried a chip on her shoulder all the way to some grad school. She made out with some teacher's daughter? Are you kidding me? The Elms isn't the typical Catholic school just because somebody gave her a bad grade 15 years ago.

On march 11th I got an email saying he was doing really good (126% attendance and all A's and B's) and then on the 15th I got a withdrawal letter. So I pulled all three out. They won't get a dime for my kids being there. There was ZERO communication about "missing" hours before the intervention btw. My kids are on a strict schedule so how is it his fault the teachers don't approve it? I already lawyered up I have proof he logged 90% of his missing time.

With no way of fixing the problem, we ended up having to quit speech all together. They a week ago his Math/English teacher called me asking to switch my son to regular classes. She claims because he is doing so well. I explained he is doing well because of the classes, and NO do not switch him. The school did it anyway and when I called his success coach and counselor I was told they were not switching him back. I tried calling the principal and kept getting a recording that this phone number was disconnected. Then I finally got the number, called and left a message. The principal returned my call and told me I was stupid, and that I am holding back his learning growth. Now, when my son was in his proper classes, he was a A student. Now he is failing his Math and English classes. He does not understand the work. Can not read the stories assigned to him, ends up drawing and daydreaming. My husband, his father even called and talked to this principal and had the same experience. We have had it, we are pulling both my kids out and going somewhere else.
