This man's "services" (which are off the charts expensive $265 for a simple tax return, and I did all the paperwork, he just filled in numbers!) well this singular man absolutely DESTROYED me financially this past year because he does NOT know the state tax code and had me pre-pay quarterly* for almost 90% of what is now being returned to me because of my 2018 tax return which I filed today. I now have to have my 2017 taxes amended. That costs money. * Meaning for the past year, I have been taking money away from things/health insurance/food/etc to pre-pay taxes THAT I DID NOT NEED TO PAY. So for one year, I made payments to the state that I NEVER HAD TO MAKE. His negligence is heightened by the fact I asked him multiple times if he was certain about these payments as it would create hardships, being on a fixed income, and he assured me he was certain I would owe these taxes for the year (2018). I am an educated lady in a low tax bracket... under 100K. I would never go back to this place again. The office staff are very nice (so they get the one star I was required to give!) Does anyone know if I could I file a lawsuit against this practice?
