I have little faith in any healthcare services in SE Idaho but I live here so I try to seek out the best. I found it with Dr. Hatch. Dr. Hatch and staff are competent, friendly, timely, accommodating, etc. etc. It's always a pleasure going to the dentist (yep, that's right, going to the dentist is a pleasure). I wish I could say my visits are physically painless, but when someone figures that out, I hope they let me know. Dr. Hatch could have recommended more expensive processes and procedures for my dental needs, but he has always recommended the best options considering my dental situation, my preferences, and my budget (and not his pocketbook). My hygenist in Dr. Hatch's office is Rachel (she's clearly more than a hygenist but I don't know what to call her) and she is excellent but from what I've seen, I don't think you could go wrong with any hygenist or staff member in that office. All in all, a great dental experience. I can't recommend Dr. Hatch and his team highly enough. BTW - he uses CEREC crowns. I have several crowns and this CEREC thing is far better than I ever imagined. In one visit, you get fitted for the crown, it gets made there immediately, and he puts it in - all relatively easy - and from what I can tell, about the same price as a multi-visit crown situation. I was skeptical at first but now I'm a complete believer in this process. The best part is that Dr. Hatch is a CEREC instructor teaching other dentists how to use this thing. Dr. Hatch is an expert. Three crowns with him thus far and although I hope I don't need anymore, I found the CEREC process to be great and Dr. Hatch to be perfectly suited for using it well.

I also get many calls from their office asking to come in for an appointment for different things THAT I DON'T EVEN HAVE!!! Despite telling them 5 times to remove me from their call list they still called. Not happy in the work they did and extremely not happy with the rude receptionist when asked to be removed. Better yet, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. (They even have weighted blankets...goodbye anxiety!). Communication here is great as well--they make sure you thoroughly understand what is needed/going to be done, and they don't push any unnecessary treatments on you. They never make you feel bad for any additional requests to accommodate any needs you have, and it is the least stressed I've been at a dentist office. Anyone looking for a new dentist will find a great one here! Full disclosure: I go to their office in Idaho Falls but felt I should comment on their Blackfoot office as well since it's the same staff.

I felt they took advantage of my care credit and just wanted more money. 2nd dentist hygienist said you got a "deep clean" I've never heard of that they didn't do a very good job. I had two teeth that were damaged so badly I couldn't eat most foods. I contacted these guys to get…read morethem extracted. The soonest they could see me was a week later. I was in pain everytime I ate and more, but I understood, it was just the way these things work sometimes. Day of my appointment: To be fair, I was about 10 minutes late do to a little crisis at home with two toddlers. But everything after that still needs to be addressed here. Even though there were atleast 3 people working in the office, only 2 other clients were there. (Only one was upfront with me.) I waited for over 15 minutes before they even acknowledged that I was in the facility. Then they had me fill out a bunch of paperwork that they did not tell me I needed to fill out earlier. 5 more minutes passed by that could easily have been avoided if they gave me the option of filling it out prior to my appointment. Ultimately my teeth needed to be extracted, (like I told them over the phone) but Dr. Weaver told me he couldn't pull either of them that day. It was a little frustrating with all of their delays being a huge factor in their inability to pull them. but it was what it was. When I asked to get a prescription for the pain from having two fractured teeth that even agrees need to be pulled, he informed me in what definitely came off as a snooty aloof manner "oh, I don't write those." Thank you for making me wait a week in pain longer, just so you guys can ignore, disrespect and ultimately not take care of me at all. Then won't even give me a way to eat without hurting though you're forcing me to reschedule the exact same appointment a second time. I will never go back to this place, and I do not recommend it to anyone. Based on the poor treatment I received I can tell you the "smiles" are only on the surface there.

I'm from out of town/state and I had a crown split and come off. It was a Friday afternoon and I called the Simpson Dental Offices and told them of my incident. They were very professional, accommodating and friendly over the phone. Double that in person. All staff, including Dr. Simpson were simply the best. If I lived in Blackfoot or surrounding area, there's absolutely no doubt I would come to this office for all my family's dental needs. Thank you Dr. Simpson and staff. You are lifesavers!!!
