The main rink has lots of chair-back seating and is more than enough for the crowds that minor hockey typically draws. The production of the game itself was pretty good, not unlike any junior or lower-level minor hockey game. The price of admission ($10) is more than fair for an evening of entertainment. There were concessions available outside in the large lobby area, but I didn't test anything out this time. Parking is plentiful and there are several entrances on all sides of the building. If you park at the wrong entrance for the program you're attending, you could be in for a long walk. All in all, a gem of a facility that Brantford should be proud of. If you're in need of something to do, a 99ers game is definitely worth your while.

Bud Gardens is clearly the heart and meeting place of the city. Between Knights games. Lightning, concerts and other special events rarely a week goes by that I don't end up here. It's a solid venue and the staff are mostly friendly and helpful. the food and beers may be a bit on the pricey side but what do you expect at an event venue. While it may likely always be the JLC to me - this Buds for you. Well ... for all of us.

It was called FirstOntario Center at the time. The arena was a little out of the way for me as I don't normally go to Hamilton. I usually go to Toronto for concerts and other events (for context). Everything was well organized. Entering and finding my seat was fine. Lines were long which typical for concerts and large events.

It was an uneventful QEW drive to/from Hamilton, which is unusual. I lucked out on street parking because someone pulled out of a spot 100 metres from the stadium. I happened to be there to add a loonie to the meter since there was time remaining and paid parking ends at 6 p.m. Like all sporting venues during an event, hordes of fans, a beehive of activity from lineups for washrooms, alcohol, snacks or memorabilia, to just trying to find your seats. It's all good! Too bad lady luck didn't smile for the home team this evening. Attendance logged in at 8,841. Note to all: no outside drinks or food allowed upon entry.

There are multiple parks and boating areas within the space they are each clearly labeled so its easy to meet up or give directions. I saw people swimming in the lake water for me its a no the waters arent that clear where people are allowed to swim and there was a lot of Canadian geese swimming in the area that people swim.

Ticket…read moreprices are a reasonable $10, and once you get inside the stadium you have a few seating choices: several bleachers next to the home and away dugouts, bringing your own chair and sitting in the grass down the first base foul line, or in a covered seating area behind home plate (which is a lifesaver during a hot summer day). Game presentation is high quality, on par with the typical minor league experience. If you're in Guelph, or anywhere close by, it's worth the drive out to catch a game.
