I don't believe it should be up to the customer to keep calling the store to find out where the order is. I will keep you posted for a final review with details, but this is a warning - sometimes saving money means sacrificing service! This will not show up on my lists until the review it complete. Today's update - called and talked to the owner of the store - he still can't promise a delivery date. Though it has been over two months now. He believes it can be delivered the first week of June and when I said we may cancel if it doesn't get delivered - he said he doesn't do returns for delivery because on the bill it states he cannot promise delivery dates. However, I'm not asking for a promised date I am asking to receive the goods ordered and may be taking him to court. I strongly suggest that you reconsider shopping at this place unless you have a lot of time to wait. I also don't think he is doing that well as he asked us to pay cash because he owed taxes - I should have stopped there, but he sweetened the pot by giving me more of a discount - again - a discount is only good if you end up with the goods! The saga continues ... Ok - we finally heard from the owner who told my wife that they'd deliver our bedroom set Saturday - but he couldn't promise a time. On Saturday - I called him. He answered his cell phone from NYC at 9:05 am and told me to call the store at 10:00 am and they'd be able to tell me approximate time. At 9:58 am my doorbell rang - I wasn't expecting anyone - so guess who shows up - yep - the delivery people. They were VERY understanding and didn't mind that we were not completely ready. They set up everything, took the old stuff and were on their way (with tip) after about an hour. They did a GREAT job - however - they are not store employees - obviously they are contracted! Overall - I have something to tell you. Every business can offer you two out of three things - the three things they can offer are: Price, Service and Quality. You get to pick two of them at most places. We picked quality and price - service absolutely suffered. Would I return - I seriously doubt it, but price these days means a lot. The rating remains 1 star because I'm still ticked about the horrible service!

The store is set up nicely so that you're able to see everything individually, unlike other stores where you can find used items. I bought a waffle maker and two side tables. The waffle maker was around $12 and the side tables were $15 for the set. I've used the waffle maker once so far and it worked perfectly fine. The owner of the store was friendly and helpful, the prices are great and the products they sell there are in amazing shape (if they're used) I will definitely be shopping there again. Every time we stop in this little "Gem in Dunkirk" there is something new and different - really unique items. The pricing is really great and your dollar goes a long way here. Some of the items are so hard to find that this might be the only place you will see some of these things. This store if far better then most Thrift stores we've ever been to - so much more that we don't even call it a thrift store - it's definitely a boutique! There is normally parking on the side street - the store itself faces the main road, but it sits on a corner - so parking on the side street is the best place as there is a fire hydrant right out front and no sense giving the City of Dunkirk the money you just saved by shopping at this store. The items you will find in this store range from slightly used clothing (not a huge selection, but something for everyone), household items, books, CD's, toys, seasonal items (GREAT Christmas finds), furniture, TV's that work and are plugged in, and the list just is endless. I almost don't want you to shop here because I can't get everything I want all at once and I'm afraid you will find my stuff and buy it up! However, the owners and their daughter that works there are so friendly and helpful I'd like to see them flourish in this economy. So - I'm willing to share. The cleanliness and organization of this store - well - right now I think it isn't good. The reason - they recently moved everything around and now I don't know where every item is - maybe a good marketing idea, but for me - I hate it! Try to use a bathroom elsewhere because these are not the best or close to it! The people are hit and miss here as far as friendliness - sometimes they are great - other times they aren't. Returns are easy - no questions asked and I mean that. Just make sure you have your receipt. Another good point is the rewards program - and it's getting better they say. I like discounts. Speaking of discounts - this place normally has things that are old - out dated - repaired/refurbished - so if it sounds cheap - keep that in mind and ALWAYS check expiration dates on your perishables - and that includes things you don't eat too! Plenty of parking - it's located in a plaza!
