Our experience was painful. The taxi was half an hour late to collect us after a very long return flight. it's the last thing you need when you just want to get home. Despite the fact that me and my friends have had numerous undesirable experiences with this taxi firm, we find ourselves constantly using the company time and again, simply because they are the most taxi firm in Leeds and always have a taxi available when other firms do not. The fact that a taxi is always available from Arrow is one of the only positive aspects of the business - they are renowned for overcharging, especially for shorter differences such as Headingley to Leeds city centre, and the drivers are mostly unfriendly. On more than one occasion, we have contacted them in advance, asking for a six-seater people carrier to be told that one is on its way. Yet lo and behold, two four-seaters turn up in place of one six-seater, meaning the company makes more money and the customer spends more. I would recommend Premier or Amber over Arrow, but with the state of the taxi industry in Leeds (there are barely any black council cabs unlike London or Liverpool) there is little to choose between all the private hire taxi firms; you just have to bite your tongue and pay the extortionate prices. Terrible company. Pre-booked 2 eight seater taxis to pick us up from a wedding. They phoned a few mins before pick up time to say neither was coming. Left everyone, people in their 80s, stranded. Didn't even try to sort anything out. Still took my money though. Do not use this company read more

The app is not good, for an airport collection a taxi arrived on time but not an airport one, a mess up with a he app!!! Then when we were going through customs we received a phone call to say another taxi had arrived able it fifteen minutes late!! Arrow have charged ur for both!!! Very poor read more

I had my first 'experience' with arrow taxis on the 25th August 2013 and I can safely say that it was my last experience, it went as follows: There I was, sat in my camping chair with a bevvy in my hand at Leeds festival, about 11:00am on Sunday morning, when me and a few mates thought that then would be a good time to book a mini bus taxi for the six of us. The first few taxi firms we rang demanded deposits either payed by credit card over the phone, or payed directly to the main headquarters, both of which were an impossibility, due to us being over 20 miles away from them and our lack of credit cards (we were camping in a field, hardly any use for a credit card there) - this was until we rang arrow taxis, who proved their only redeeming feature - no deposit required. The man on the phone however was a lot less helpful, first off he didn't know what Leeds festival was, or how to spell Bramham Park (the venue of Leeds fest) and so we actually had to literally spell it out to him over the phone, after a good 5 minutes negotiating we were told that we had booked the mini bus, and that it would be at the white gate pickup point at 1:30am, all we had to do was ring back later and get the taxi drivers number, which we did without a problem. We also rang back a few hours later to confirm that our taxi was booked and you bet they confirmed it, a mini bus for "Nicholson", for 1:30am Monday night, at white gate at Bramham park. Many beers & bands later we were ready with all of our luggage to brave the 30 minute trek through, what felt like miles and miles of endless mud. Regardless we made it to white gate in 1 piece, minus 1 welly. Let me set the scene: It is 1:20am, raining heavily, everyone is worn out after a legendary headline set from Eminem and 5 days of straight camping and partying - and the last piece to complete this epic weekend was a simple ride home, however our seemingly flawless and simplistic plan was ground abruptly to a halt; - We rang the taxi driver only to be answered with an answering machine. Confused, we decided to ring up arrow taxis, with the little credit we had left, and what we were told is the soul reason for this 1 star review: "Sorry we don't have any bookings for "Nicholson" tonight at Bramham Park" after our retort of disbelief we were told: "We cannot guarantee that your taxi will come just because you have ordered one" - Not the best business strategy, actually admitting that their company is not 100% legit. I don't want to get into our reaction to this, but essentially the new situation was this: we were stranded in the pouring rain, half 1 at night 30 miles from home. All because of arrow taxis incompetence to run a proper company, instead of arriving home at 2:30am like we planned, I instead walked through my front door at 13:45 the following day, lack of credit and phone battery to ring another taxi were not to blame though, arrow taxis were to blame. I am not suggesting that you use another taxi company, I am telling you that you will use another taxi company, arrow taxis are nothing, they're worse than nothing, I literally can't put into words how bad of an establishment they are - I don't know if they have a slogan yet but I can think of a great one which reflects on their policies perfectly:" "If you're looking to be left stranded with 100% chance of a no-show taxi, call arrow taxis!" - disclaimer, we can guarantee a 100% chance to disappoint. " P.S I would give arrow taxis zero stars if I could. You will have a better chance of Tupac Shakur giving you a lift in a gold plated Rolls Royce than getting an arrow taxi to give you a ride. read more

Arrow is another company that I seem to favour when calling for a taxi. If I can't get hold of Amber cabs for any reason, Arrow is my next on my list. As Amber, they know my name (and are glad I came....) and always send the taxi on time. If I ask for one asap they are here within five minutes. Perfect! The operators on the phone are always polite, as are the taxi men and the rates are fixed so you won't find yourself paying different every time. I rang around some taxi firms to get a quote for a jolly up to Otley for 5 of us....so a big cab needed. Arrow was the cheapest so went with them. Booked at 1pm for 5.15pm. It got to 5.35pm and taxi still hadn't arrived. I usually use premier, so was a bit annoyed. Alas, when i rang there was no record of my booking and not really an apology. Just a "I can get another one to you in about 30 minutes". Not impressed. This was drinking time that their ineptitude had eaten in to. that being said. the taxis were clean and comfortable, although the drivers didn't speak a lot of English and not a lot of local knowledge of the roads! plus ended up being £5 more than they originally quoted. I wasn't wholly convinced that the taxi would pick us up for teh return route, but it was on time. so whoop. I'll use premier next time read more

I only ever use arrow to go to and from the airport but dont let that lead you into thinking its once a year this can be upto 8 times a month but its usually only twice. The drivers are usally polite and chatty if you want to be with the odd exception and we've all had them the taxi driver who sullenly greats you and spends the entire journey chatting on his mobile or with the radio blaring. I would give a 3 star rating however they are very pricey maybe not for normal travel but to and from the airport they can be costly. Now you are thinking why use them so often then, the reason is quite simply they accept card payments which when travelling lots for business reasons makes filling in expense claims far easier. They also have a office at Leeds bradford airport which when you've been travelling about is very convenient but if you can plan ahead book another company to pick you up at the airport and save some money read more

Just arrived from holiday at Leeds /Bradford airport and went to book a taxi from Arrow 's office when i was told the price i asked why it would be more expensive than the cost to be taken to the Airport ,the staff in the office at the airport said they did not know " they just worked there " .Later i rang Arrows office in Horsforth , to my surprise i was told the extra charge was for NOT making my booking on line and was an" incentive " to get people to book on line ,not that easy to do when youv,e just got off a plane .Sounds more likeley an excuse to overcharge and take advantage of the fact they have this position at Leeds/Braford airport . Prebooked a taxi, it didn't turn up. Rang the company but they couldn't tell me when a car would be available. Claimed they have no way to schedule a pick up and it's up to the drivers if they take a job. Cancelled the booking but arrow still took a payment from my card. They have yet to reply to my complaint or provide a refund. read more

Arrow are a great cab firm...but BEWARE THEIR APP!! On more than one occasion I've pre-booked a return journey home using their app...but their cabs never arrive. The phone staff are great, but telling a customer that they are really busy is small consolation when your left standing out in the cold, wishing the app will give you good news. This results in ruined plans and spoiled meals at home. Sort your bloody app out Arrow management! Stop it from saying a cab is coming when you clearly only focus on your airport punters. read more

I phoned to book a taxi to take us to airport and was advised that if I booked It and the return journey on line, I would get a 6% discount. This was about 8pm and we needed taxi for 4.30am. I did this on line but couldn't see anywhere to get the 6% discount, so decided to book anyway and challenge them at the office. Everything else went ok. Collected us 5min early and only had to wait a short while at the airport. Drivers polite and friendly. At the airport I went to the desk to ask about my discount as there was a big sign says BOOK BOTH JOURNEYS and get discount. I was told you only get the discount on line. But if you use their app you don't. I didn't even know I'd used the app. It was not very clear, as far as I knew I had booked it on line. They don't make it clear. I think if you book both journeys you should get the discount. read more

Never a problem with the pick up from home but the usual cock up on arrival back to Leeds Bradford . We once again used the link we're given a reg number and waited and waited , finally pressed track my car to be informed the pick up had been completed !!! Had to queue at the office to find out what was going on but again as usual they didn't know and had to arrange another car . Really awful service. When they were 20 mins late I rang up and found that they hadn't even assigned me a car even though I had given them an hour's advance notice. I was told by the control centre "we don't have any control over our drivers. We don't guarantee any arrival times." When I then asked for a discount she said "You won't get one. The money is between you and the driver. We don't have anything to do with our drivers we just send them out." read more

Booked a taxi at the Leeds/Bradford airport. Woman at desk was eating a sandwich while making the booking and somehow booked me in for another day. There was a big crowd for people were waiting for their taxi after booking it so we waited for ours to arrive. After a long time everyone else had been picked up and we were left waiting. I went to see what had happened when they realised their mistake. They didn't really apologise and refused to give any sort of discount. Not ideal after a long flight. I would recommend pre booking with another taxi company in the future. read more

We used Arrow on Saturday night to get five of us from town to Headingley for a party, then my boyfriend and I used them to get back to Gipton. Very good service. We called and requested a six seater, which arrived some fifteen minutes later - given that it was just after 9pm on a Saturday night, I was very impressed that it turned up so quickly! The driver was pleasant and didn't mind waiting for the stragglers in our party to get up the road. Similarly coming back, we were told half an hour to wait for our taxi home - again not bad for 1am on a Saturday night! The driver was very patient and didn't mind my drunken self inisisting on saying goodbye to everyone at the party before we eventually stumbled out the front door. He was pleasant, asked for our postcode and then asked if we wanted to tell him the way home or would we rather let the TomTom do it. Having no idea where we were, we let the TomTom do it's work and 15 minutes later, we were home. The driver made pleasant conversation on the way home and it was such a huge change from the other taxi firms I've reviewed where I or my boyfriend have had to give the simplest of directions (towards St James's from town isn't hard really, is it?) All in all a pleasant company to use, I'd definitely consider using them again - at least they seem to know where they're going! read more

I used Arrow Cars for a ride from Manchester airport to Wythenshawe.My taxi was late but the employee at the kiosk didn't apologise, on the contrary she was very rude. Extremely disappointed and they didn't seem to care! I don't use taxis that much any more but when I do I always use Arrow Private Hire in Horsforth. However, I feel I must review them based on the last time I used them, last week, for an airport run - very disappointing. I'd booked the pick up to go to Leeds Bradford Airport for 4:30am. After 3 phone calls, the same "he'll be there in a few mins" fob off and 35 minutes later they finally turned up after the driver had had another airport run! Waiting for 35 minutes with a toddler and a 5 year old at 4:30am isn't acceptable and meant we only had 1 hour to get through security to our gate and board the plane! Return trip was okay and driver was available within a few minutes, but getting to the airport on time and stress free is more important in my opinion, especially when the return trip totals only 3 miles each way and costs £24. Won't be using again based on the Control Office's attitude and poor service! read more
