Wish I could rate this business -10/5 stars. My girlfriend and I ordered coffees and sat down in the parlor area at a table. We were enjoying the art and the atmosphere until the barista and another worker started screaming at each other (actual screaming, yes) in some kind of debate. After listening for a second, we realize the barista was yelling anti-trans/LGBTQ slurs and both women were making vulgar comments about other women and the appearance of their bodies. Neither of these women cared that we were sitting in the front room, fully able to hear everything they were screaming. Frankly, their behavior was embarrassing and I would not recommend supporting this establishment as it is not a safe space. Be careful out there, y'all!! read more

Very unique interior which was worth a view. Ordered a macchiato... "You know it's not a Starbucks macchiato" Me: "Ok that is fine could I have a little of caramel?" "Yes but this is a European macchiato" Me: "Ok yes that sounds good" I've worked as a barista and know the difference and understand what a macchiato is. However I was served a quarter cup of just caramel syrup. Again, cool place but staff wasn't super warm. read more

I hate doing this because I know small businesses are suffering. However, hopefully this will encourage the place to do something about their employees and right now, covid policies. It took some encouragement to get my kids to walk so I could get a coffee and they could get a decadent treat. As we walked up, a woman was on the phone outside. She went in and it was apparent she worked there. The decor is gorgeous. My kids were taking it all in. Being slow . Asking questions. We were all excited, I saw a cappuccino or other drink in my future. Turned the corner. Barista was not masked. Kept walking slowly, hopefully to give her time to mask and wash her hands. This is when she gave me attitude. Apparently we weren't moving fast enough for her. I asked her about the way she looked at me. You know, that impatience and kind of what the f way. She first said she didn't and then she said we were taking too long to walk up. I told her it was because I was giving her time to put on a mask. However, we were leaving because of her attitude. Y'all. We went to bakery down the road. They had drip coffee. Not the best. But they were masked and polite. And didn't stress about the time it took my kids to pick out a treat. read more

I know a lot about this place just because I live nearby, and want to give a warning to anyone that is looking to get coffee (or a treat) here. This is not just an art & coffee bar, it is also the owner's home (which is not a big deal, it's simply that she treats customers like unwanted guests in her home). There is one singular lady that works here (Sandy, also the homeowner/art & coffee owner) and she is rude, despicable, and downright mean. She treats customers poorly, the drinks are overpriced, and the hours are unreliable. She spends a majority of her time outside smoking, and casts dirty looks when you walk by (which I do all the time because I live nearby). She's also constantly on the phone talking politics. I have never heard her talking of anything but politics. Which, again, is fine, except that every time I hear it, it's some horrible extremely white-nationalist, anti-government, ridiculous topics that just should not be discussed out on the main sidewalk. The only good thing about this place is the art, but I wouldn't sacrifice my mental well-being and good mood for the day (by interacting with Sandy) just to see the art. read more

Beautiful little spot that feels a bit like a renovated Victorian home, in the best way. It's very open and welcoming, with both tables and cozy sofa seating areas. The music is perfect for conversation (maybe just one click softer would've been perfect). The cafe was clean and freshly painted with happy plants and perfect lighting to create relaxed ambience. Both the Americano and the breve latte were solidly good- balanced and strong, but not bitter or acidic. We did not try the baked goods, but the orange roll looked amazing! read more
