One of the best hotels in the city. It is sparkling clean, with phenomenal service, and an exceptional location. The three of us stayed here for a week, and it was more than we could have ever hoped for. First off, the location is excellent, in a safe part of the city (which is vitally important in a place like Istanbul), close to the main attractions (Agia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Museum, etc.), and surrounded by restaurants and small shops in case one gets hungry or needs some last-minute supplies. The view from the rooms is absolutely breathtaking. The sea-facing rooms offer an unbelievable view of the Marmara, and the balconies are the perfect place to end your day with a cup of coffee and the city at your feet.
Secondly, the service is excellent. The staff all speaks English, they are friendly, they aim to please, and they went above and beyond our expectations, bringing us coffee, offering us tea, etc. They even offered to send off my postcards when I couldn't find stamps or the post office.
As for additional services, breakfast, which is usually included in the room price, is varied and delicious. There are at least 50 different things to choose from on any given morning, and if you ask, the staff will also make you a delicious cup of Turkish coffee to rival any coffeehouse in town. There is a shuttle to and from the airport for only 5 euros, (which is significant, considering the airport is at least 30min away), and I have never before had a maid so wonderfully thorough. The room smelled fresh and clean every single day, and all my things were put away neatly, no matter how messy I had left them. I cannot praise the maid staff highly enough.
Lastly, it was entirely safe. I left valuables out more than once (including, stupidly, my passport), and came back repeatedly, sometimes after hours, to find them untouched.
The one thing I would perhaps suggest to the hotel is that they increase their wifi speed. There is free wifi throughout, but sometimes it gets quite slow.
I would enthusiastically recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. read more
