Mummm chocolate, what more can a girl ask for than a shop full of the stuff for eating and drinking (and very possibly for wearing but i didn't ask so lets not go there...) The window display is so yummy, it just yells at you to come in. The chocolate from here is DIVINE!!! it is the type of chocolate which you cannot gorge yourself with, it is not the type of chocolate you pick up anywhere..you want to savour every moment every taste is as if it is your first taste of chocolate. The big buttons are great! The bag costs about £3 so it is a luxury item, but no joke you cannot eat the entire bag in one sitting, it is impossible! I challenge you to try! They often do tastings just outside the store and it is worth grabbing a bit and seeing for yourself! Great for presents to - look out for the exotic chocolate fish! read more

This shop hasn't been open too long but it's been well worth the wait. I used to go to the Montezuma's in Chichester (a 40 minute drive away) which tells you just how good the chocolate is! Every time I've been in any of the Montezuma shops, there has always been free tasters on the counter, or being handed round. Make sure you try them, even the exotic or weird sounding ones, as they do taste amazing. The chocolate is very expensive but it will last ages as, because it is so rich, you won't be able to eat much in 1 sitting. They sell small bags of chocolate tortoises (about £2.35) and several varieties of chocolate in small bars if you want to try first without spending too much money. I bought a huge kilner type jar filled with Giant Choclate buttons as a Birthday present for my daughter (about £17) and she loved it (and was very popular at school!). This is a nice small chocolate shop called Montezuma's in Winchester. Its not as big as I expected it to be and they do sell items which are similar to Hotel Chocolate or else where. I do like the flavours of there chocolates and they sell dark, white and milk chocolates. The prices of the chocolates I would say is quite pricey and not many people do buy much from there, seeing as its quite quiet inside. But if you want a specific flavour, then this place is a great place to visit. read more
