You will want to book tickets in advance; not because it is an extremely popular place, but because…read morethe rooms are quite narrow and they are absolutely PACKED with such a variety of interesting and fascinating things that they just can't accommodate a large number of visitors at once. These objects have been collected by a really nice man, who was obviously living his best life and was in the process of trying to re-plump a somewhat deflated vintage taxidermy pufferfish when I spoke with him. My family and I loved looking at all the interesting things here. I took a lot of photos and I am working on drawing a series in color pencil of the faces found here. We thought it was well worn the cost of admission. But obviously if you don't enjoy looking at things like this you would not think it was. Obviously. We did not spend a lot of time here; not much over an hour. It is probably not something that would occupy a full afternoon. But it is within walking distance of the Museum of Archaeology, which has some similar kinds of things, but you know, like, in an academic setting. So doing both those things made for a very interesting afternoon.

The outside is spectacular & eye-catching. I love the black building with the stark graphics painted right on the wall. The black & pink colorway is so swag. The worker at the front desk matched the aesthetic of the museum perfectly. Immaculate style & respectfully, an absolute baddie. The cost of entry was €15. The employee gave me a quick explanation of the space & sent me on my way. Immediately after entering & paying the fee, I was freezing. My teeth were chattering. It felt colder inside than it was outside, somehow, & it was raining cats & dogs outside. It became immediately clear to me that there was no form of heat or air conditioning in the whole building. I already felt a little bit taken-advantage-of, because I knew I couldn't stay long & couldn't get my "€15 worth." I had to go on a speed run. The museum had a smattering of gimmicky items & very, very impressive items. Unfortunately everything was crammed together with very little cohesion, organization, or lighting. There was an incredible collection of pinned creepy crawlies in a display box that was almost entirely hidden. I had to use my flashlight to get a proper closer look. Again, so much potential! But it missed the mark for me. That's hard to do, because I'm an avid lover of creepy crawlies, oddities, & curiosities. The clutter, albeit a bit frustrating, could almost be written off as charming. The lack of A/C was what really made it a negative experience for me. Sandwiched between the Black Church Print Studio and the Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, this place feels more like an exhibition than an siopa. The silence, bare concrete floor and high, exposed ceiling leaves plenty of room to soak in the beautifully executed prints on the walls and in portfolios. Whispering, slowly walking from one framed print (signed, numbered and full of the artist's personality) to another, I go into serious appreciation mode.. because this is art, not posters, on display. The print techniques are varied, and I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few of these originated the print studio next door;after all, the art world in Ireland is vibrant and well supported.That said, prices will be set accordingly and expect to pay at least €200 to bring home that framed daschund in silhouette you liked so much. Buy in the gallery or, if you need more time to consider, shop online at the website. Shipping is dear for a print that arrives in a cardboard tube, and you do miss out on finding a selection matted (or framed if available).

Which follows Bob Dylan and the various other members of rock and roll royalty in the 70's. This runs until the end of July. All of the prints are for sale, and are pricey. We approached the day with military precision, no one was to eat till 3pm, all money till that time was to go on clothes. So when 3pm rolled around we would head for Stephens Green top floor to eat and banish the crankiness. Then like an ingrained ritual we would walk over to the Green Gallery and spend time looking at all the paintings. I still do that whenever I get a chance to shop, it's located on the very top floor of the shopping centre and they are on display in a relaxed setting. Some are placed on the main corridor. It is clear that Alan has a real passion for his work, and he spent a lot of time explaining the history and tradition that inspire him. He was patient while we explored the different prints, offering advice without ever being pushy. More like the QUICKY-MART!…read more I stumbled across this gallery on a mid summers eve.. the sun was low, and the alcohol a' flowing, giving rise to a pleasant daze that subdued the judgment ability of a humble but busty curator.. While her thighs were pursed as she patiently waited outside the lone cubical, I waited as long as I could before opening the door to let her in beside me. A fissional surge of energy exploded kicking over my empty naggen bottles as her head burst into 9 distinct pieces that hurtled into the air. 5 stars! What an excellent exhibition.
