I've been to ArtHouse Mosaic Studio twice - 1) to learn mosaic skills under Nancy's tutelage 2) as the sign language interpreter for a group of 6 deaf women, with Malika as their instructor. Both times, I was impressed with how relaxing it is to be around these women, something I feel certain is of benefit to those attempting the creative process. The way that Malika handled the 7 of us! - with multiple conversations going on simultaneously, arms flying everywhere - was spectacular. She was focused, patient, and gave flawless design suggestions for those who asked for them. One of the women took a really long time to decide what her project would be, changing her mind several times. This, and the fact that the women had to stop their work every time they spoke to the instructor or to one of their friends - caused our class to go quite a bit overtime. Again, Malika was graciousness incarnate. I've heard wonderful things about the 3rd business partner, Sherri. I'm sure she's a delight, as well.
