Instructor Paige was awesome, and I had a great time in the class. Good to know beforehand is that you may be recorded and that it can be used on their social media. There is time at the end of class just for small groups to record on camera. I was already aware before I showed up so it wasn't a big deal, but I'm sure if it was a surprise I would have been nervous about it. The room was full, but not to the point of being totally packed which was good. A little hard to see yourself in the mirror if you're in the back, but she did have us move around the room midway which helped. Another thing I wish I knew was that this place is not very public transportation safe at night. Definitely drive there directly if you can. Had some creep talk to me who was heading to the motel a block or so away. And pretty dimly lit streets. Stay safe! And as I entered the building I noticed a few things that didn't seem professional to me substance wise. Not sure if it's the norm here. But I'm happy to see the place was founded by two young women. Very cool, and I plan to return.

Open Sessions / Top Rock Class / Foundation Class / B-Girl Class (AsiaOne, Bgirl Pioneer even teaches here!) Most people don't know where to take breaking (breakdance) because most private dance studios focus on other dance styles (Hip-Hop Choreography/Ballet/Jazz/Tap/Contemporary), but luckily this studio's primary focusing is breaking! The owner Ian Flaws is very committed to the art form and even went to Korea and other places in the world to bring back knowledge to teach to his students! One of the head instructors Kid Cruz was a Red Bull BC One Regional Champion back in 2012 and gave me awesome tips for headpins that no one else could've taught me back home. They also raised/trained Bboy Run who is now part of the world famous Renegade Rockers. Speaks a lot about the instructors at the studio! Parking is very accessible! I can't stand dance studios where parking is impossible! so that helps tremendously. Class prices are also very affordable! They also have cool merchandise on their website! He takes tap, ballet and hip hop classes along with a boys only ballet class!! This has allowed our son to grow as a dancer and learn partnering. He loves the teacher which is great because keeping a group of young boys moving isn't easy! He recently performed in his first show at Studio 9 and it was a first class production. But just recently, we found Swingin' Denver! We dropped in for an advanced Lindy Hop lesson last night and loooved it! The instructors are really good dancers and the lessons are challenging - which is much needed for us since we've had a year and a half break from any instruction/social dances/practice whatsoever. The instructors are friendly and dedicated to creating a friendly, inclusive, active swing dance community in the Denver area. They appear to plan several social dances (some with DJs but some with live bands - which are the best kind of social dances). At the conclusion of each class, the instructors videotape the moves and post them on Youtube, which is great since my husband and I love to practice. The day of competition my daughter had sewing pins left in her costume and a 6in hem to a baggy pant being held up by 2 sewing pins. The studio directors response to the situation was that she was "busy". Zero apology and zero accountability to their mistake. They enjoyed trying to make themselves a victim. Very manipulative behavior.
