We hired Production Construction to redo our 135-square foot kitchen. We chose them because of…read moretheir strong reviews and better pricing. Demo began on March 10. Work on the job took 19 weeks, with long periods of no work being done. We didn't expect the job to run past May 31 and had to ask them to take a 6 week break for things we had planned before work started. We were finally done on August 31. One of the subcontractors made a significant mistake, resulting in a safety hazard, and PCI didn't catch it, or discuss it with us, until we eventually saw the problem. We had to raise the issue and insist they figure out how to fix it. They wanted to charge a significant change fee to do so, our supervising contractor became hard to contact, and we had to contact upper management. They offered a significant reduction in the change fee, which we accepted because we wanted this project finished. On the plus side, the subcontractors did excellent work (with the one exception), and our new kitchen is beautiful. We gave them 2 stars because of the problems with project management.

Nonetheless, our contact person Madeleine and her crew came out to assess our foundation and cracks and some mold from the humidity in the crawlspace. In the end we went with mold remediation, a sump pump, new vapor barrier, joist lifts, and air sealing to keep out the creepy crawlies. Big ticket expense, but when compared to the competition, we went with them because of the thoroughness with the estimate interview and the willingness to answer all of our questions, they were also well-spoken of on other review sites including a popular large community message board, and the price was pretty comparable. Also, the crew was very good. My only ding would be was not putting the items in the crawlspace back in the order that it was originally, which saved space. But to add to their credit, we have one additional project that needs to be done outside of Little Corner's scope and the new company took a look at Little Corner's work and said "They did a very good job, this is how we would have done it." No other handyman bothered to respond except Bernie as the repair had to be done from under the house via the crawlspace. Bernie came and gave a detailed estimate and also went under the house into the crawlspace and took pictures and measurements. We scheduled the job and Bernie came exactly on time and made the repair with no complaining about the fact that working in a crawlspace is pretty hard to do and makes the job much more difficult. As a result of this we will now begin to schedule more work with Bernie for flooring as well as painting. Now in 2025 after having a structural engineer come in with a reputable general contractor we will have a full report and estimate of repair to reconstruct the deck to make it up to code for the new buyer. A huge open wound has been exposed and Mike Germain has nothing to say for himself. The second photo is directly from the contract we signed and completed with him. We certainly paid and upheld our part of the contract. On a side note, at the time of the construction in 2020 I had completed an egg collection for an IVF cycle a few days before the crew arrived. We also had a close relative with dementia in a memory care unit that was going to be moving into hospice and the work that was being completed by Mike was so she could return home. There were a lot of concerns brought to Mike's attention and he basically deflected, denied, gaslit and pressed forward, and now here we are in 2025. Mike Germain finally responded after multiple requests to address the lack of permits and final inspection on our project as well as the problems coming to light. We requested his contractor's license number and he refused to provide it. This brings into question if he even has one. When he responded he created a very false narrative and explained that we were trying to rush the project to start and accused my wife of asking him to forgo permits. We were not even aware until last week that this situation was a far larger problem than we ever planned or paid for. This is extremely suspect! BEWARE!!!

The owner of this company does not have a license and works without permits to avoid oversight…read more I am unfortunately, only discovering this, 4.5 years after his work was completed at my home. We spent about $90K on a project with Mike Germain, the owner of West point designs LLC. During the recent sale of our home a structural engineer was called in to review some red flags on the home inspection report specifically regarding the three-story deck that Mike and his team built. I contacted Mike since one of the issues was a lack of permit with the county & assumed we could clear that up quickly with his records. Instead, when Mike (finally after attempts to reach him) called me back, he lied and told me that I asked him not to get permits. Which never happened. Even without permits, the deeper issue is that Mike Germain's team did not adhere to building codes, on a three story deck. Many issues were uncovered, all pointing to a complete disregard for building code in nearly every aspect of the construction. We had repair work done as early as 3 months after this company's work was completed. Had our front deck reinforced, repaired and even replaced some trex decking only 3 years after completion because the work was so poorly done & did not use proper hardware (nails instead of screws etc). We initially agreed to have the company paint our house & stain the new fence they installed but we ended the work relationship with them once the project was complete. I did not want to continue engaging him but after learning these details, I want to make sure others know and look into him further before hiring them!! I only wish I had known that he doesn't not have a license and did not get permits for his work, in order to avoid professional oversight.

I hired Triangle Reconstruction back in the winter to repair the foundation at my house. This was a very large project of which I had paid him about a third. On January 11 they caused a fire at my house burning down my kitchen. Rob was very apologetic at first, but when I told him I wanted another company to finish the project he said I owed him a lot of money for the work they did and he claimed that they had completed %80 of the job. Fortunately, I had a reputable structural engineer come out to inspect my foundation before they started working on my house and then I had him come back after the fire. The engineer stated only 1/3 of the work had been completed - if that much ! Rob also threatened to file a stop work order if I did not let him bring 'his engineer' out to look at it. I understand accidents happen and against the advice of many people I was actually willing to give him the opportunity to finish the job and try to help rectify the situation. However Rob's estimate to finish was nowhere close to being equitable and provided no consideration for the hardship he has caused in my life. His estimate even included money owed for work they did in the kitchen which was burnt in the fire that they caused ! He clearly doesn't understand the gravity of this and what my family and I have gone through and what we're still going through. We have been out of our house for almost 5 months now and probably won't be able to move back in for another month or two. My family has suffered tremendously due to this company's negligence.
