Attention Friends:…read more It is with Excitement... God has placed in my HEART that I have chosen to permanently LEAVE Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church. Yesterday evening I tried to attend the VIRTUAL BIBLE STUDY. As I was entering, I realized I was NOT able to 'comment'. Sunday as I attended VIRTUAL CHURCH the beautiful flower arrangement was so tall I could not view the Singer's and/or the Pastor. I mentioned it. I finally left the service because it became too frustrating to stay online. I went into another Worship Service. So, the result of that was to SILENCE me during BIBLE STUDY. I can't remember a time of 'ever' being so HURT by a Church. I guess Sensibility as well as Freedom of Speech regarding an 'arrangement of flowers' is more important than Membership. In the past, I have always 'bowed' my head during Prayer / commented 'Amen' as well as 'Shared' the service with others on Facebook to try to encourage Membership. I have always 'thanked' everyone for ALL they did to make the service available online. I may not be a Pastor or Pastor's wife but this was nothing short of CRUEL and CHILDISH. I will continue to do God's work and be the best person I can. When ANY church doesn't offer ~Respect~ it is time for me to depart and locate a new church. *I have been told personally by some other members of their unhappiness with the church due to being OFFENDED. I didn't want to believe their comments, but now do. I will continue to pray for Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church, but it is time I move forward.* ~Churches are a dime a dozen, but faithful Christians are not.~ Donna Leatherman Cooke Nov.12, 2020 - 7:10 am
