I felt similar earmuffs at other shops, and none felt as soft as the ones I got from Bilodeau. After walking around the city for 2 days in February I realized I had not brought proper footwear and then went on a search. I visited Bilodeau a 2nd time and tried on a pair of boots that did not fit. At no time did I feel pressured by the manager and she was so helpful. I continued to look for boots at various stores without luck. As we were walking by Bilodeau again, I noticed a pair of boots displayed in the window I had not seen. The store was closed, but the manager was inside and saw us. She opened up for us, was so patient as I tried on two pair of boots and I was able to buy the perfect pair. I even forgot my mittens and had to knock again on the door - which she opened laughingly and gave me my mittens. Yes, the price is high, but you get what you pay for. I will have these boots and earmuffs forever - the quality is that good. The manager went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Roots came to the forefront when Canada hosted the Summer Olympics in 1976 in Montreal and the winter Olympics in Calgary in 1988. In both cases Roots rose to the forefront of the merchandising campaigns, no matter who was the official sponsor. Roots remains a very intriguing store. In Quebec City the old storefront used to be in the Chateau Frontenac right on the boardwalk...now it has moved to this new location. Roots still has a number of interesting designs, and is a brand known throughout Canada and the United States. You'll like their designs, especially if you are partial to their Canadian Beaver. Selection here was more than adequate however they had no sale rack for me to peruse. I refuse to pay hyper-inflated prices for sweat pants or sweatshirts. No matter how cool and comfortable they may be! No matter how much nostalgia it may bring of my childhood and the coolness of the brand. Interior design in cosy and warm. A great place for a souvenir shirt of Canada or try to find something Quebec emblazoned. I will pass and come back.

The price is very decent considering its original art work and all hand crafted. There are souvenir stores down the road charging almost the same $$ for much lesser quality accessories that are clearly not handmade.
