Kisten Ford@ Red Barn real estate was such an ally with expertise and all the right people or professionals she corrals around you. She was so prefficient, always positive, always joyful, always on time for every meeting, always my cheerleader going to bat for me, keeping me calm. Shes actually the most fun I've ever had with a real estate agent. That says a lot because selling your home is quite stressful, The barrier she put between me and the emotional stress of the whole process was INCREDIBLY INVALUABLE and worth even more money than she made. She advised me in all the right areas to fix the right things and in the end she made me more money than if would have sold it for sale by owner.

It has completely changed the way we relax, entertain and just fundamentally enjoy ourselves! I reviewed with Andrew my "drawing" that I had done and we sat down with each area and talked through what could work and what might be a challenge. Andrew is very creative and also so easy to work with. And he was VERY patient with me, working with me when I had to be out of town, and I totally trusted him to do the right thing with the smaller items, but for the larger items, he was willing to rearrange his schedule with other projects to allow for me to be here when he handled the them. (I know that wasn't easy on him!) He does almost all the work himself, and is very precise, with great attention to detail, very trustworthy and highly professional. I have referred him to a number of our neighbors - and always happy to give him a good recommendation to anyone who is interested in hearing more! Our deck is picture # 3 in his photo library, but as soon as spring comes, check back for some GREAT pictures!) I interviewed a number of contractors before hiring Andrew for our project and am so glad that we went with him. He just did a fabulous job!

He is extremely reliable, works quickly but he pays attention to detail and doesn't cut corners. You can tell by the quality of work he does he cares about the job and the people he is working for. We will definitely hire him again, I highly recommend. I didn't think to take pictures when I visited the house but hopefully I can add them later. On a personal note we haven't had great experience in the past with this sort of work. People never seem to care about the work they do and cut corners whenever they can. Andrew didn't do this, he cares about the work he does and is a pleasure to work with. Thank you!!!

I urge anyone considering this company to keep looking. I hired Red Door Contracting for a kitchen…read morerenovation, including installation of prefab cabinets, backsplash, plumbing and electric. All but the cabinets had to be replaced or repaired within months of Red Door's departure. If you want shortcuts and inattention to detail, this is the contractor for you. Take a look at the attached photos of the backsplash, where the sloppiness reached ridiculous levels. Red Door cut the glass tile to multiple different sizes, mounted it with jagged edges, spaced it unevenly and partially grouted it. When I complained, the owner blamed the walls and the "nature of glass" for the poor result, and he told me that my expectations were too high. (He ultimately removed the tile, and I hired another contractor to do the backsplash.) Even more troubling, all of Red Door's electrical work - including wiring for lights, switches, disposal and some outlets - had to be repaired/replaced due to circuit damage and code violations. As I was sorting that out, the city informed me that Red Door had also failed to pull a required permit. In my experience, Red Door Contracting delivers problems. I would not recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware, or buyer be smart and hire a different contractor.

Extremely indecisive and concerned about other competitors quotes versus their own offerings. They took Measurements, I was invited and went to their home to see their work (also on the website), they sent me to stores to pick out materials, met with owner the next morning to review, only to be phoned at 5:30 pm, when their quote was expected to be told they don't think they can accommodate my timing, when he was aware of my timing and requests. Total waste of THREE (3) days, I was sure they were the one, was ready to award. Truth be told, the fragile ego was damaged because I compared his business to another "small biz." A small business is $500k or less, which it clearly is. It is irrelevant how many years you've been in business. Out of integrity, indecisive, money hungry, extremely judgmental and unprofessional. Don't waste your time. They actually did me a favor, I am sure he would have changed his mind again half way through. I guess my budget wasn't large enough for them, even with their 30-40% margin.

Only New Day Construction showed me that they could professionally and properly do the job. Dan Human showed me pictures of his previous jobs, quoted me a very reasonable price and was extremely professional throughout the whole process. Now my deck looks better then when it was first done. What a fantastic job this company did and I would certainly hire them again! I will be recommending them to all my family and friends. Wish there were more companies as outstanding as New Day.

Had to leave on star.... New Day Contracting lacks professionalism, respect and expertise in…read morerefinishing a pool deck. Not only did Dan Human leave our pool deck looking nothing like the sample he gave us due to improper preparation of the product and not following manufactures instructions. He cheated us out of a second coat by but says he "added more on the fist coat". This is not consistent with the lack of coverage all throughout the job. The base material was mixed incorrectly leaving the finished product pitting and cracking after just days. When Dan realized he ordered the wrong caulking he decided to apply it anyway and just "paint" over it causing the product to bubble, pop and remain sticky. With all the issues the final product was too rough to walk on. Due to not protecting our landscaping rocks we were left with product sprayed and dripped everywhere. not to mention the drips on our pool and liner. When Dan was asked to give us a letter of responsibility and clear summery of what he planned to fix and how he planned to do it, he failed to give us such letter. Dans overall verbal explanation of what would be done and when changed from day to day. He looked to only "fix" the really bad spot and leave the bad ones. It became very clear that Dan was unable to give us the product he sold us and assured us he could do. Dan offered us $1100 to cover the absolute mess he left us which was not even 1/3 of what it will cost us to complete the job. Note that Dan was sure to post pictures of our pool from a distance for advertisement and each time I leave a message that this job was left a mess he just "deletes" the comments and leaves the advertisement photos. There is nothing professional about Dan Human. You can see how poorly New Day protected our pool and landscaping and the huge difference between the sample and what we were left with. The pitting product and lack of coverage was just the bonus Dan left us with. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY LEAVE YOUR POOL LIKE THIS.
