I might have tried a different souvenir shop if I had known there were two locations of this one in…read morethe airport but it looked so good from the outside and seemed to have a great selection so I don't regret coming in here for the things I wanted. The selection in this store is extensive. There is a lot to look at and something for everyone. We happened to be here during "Christmas-time" so there were a lot of ornaments and other Christmas things. I'm not sure if it's always like this but I liked the selection and the Christmas cheer. While I will say that prices are pretty high here, I was surprised that the pricing at the airport was exactly the same. To be honest, I would have not bought 3 small bottles of jam on Main St and bought a large one at the airport but hindsight is 20/20. I know for next time. The people working here were super friendly as well. We had a good conversation about visiting Bozeman while we were checking out and I wish I had spoken to them when I first arrived.

Some of the horror stories from community members are published in the "Save the Emerson" petition circulating on the internet. In the petition comments, the executive director's behavior is described as disrespectful, unprofessional, mean, caustic, abusive, unbearable, unsupportive, righteous, competitive, unfriendly, bullying, awful, extremely rude, difficult, unhealthy, vindictive, and vile. As stated in the petition, tenants and community members feel disrespected, humiliated, slighted, uncomfortable, censored, fearful oof retaliation, intimidated, insulted, fearful of retribution by the executive director. The executive director is known to use racial slurs, slander, and generally abusive behavior on a daily basis according to the petition comments. She is also known to viciously scold children and use vulgar language in front of them.
