Like much of Norway's decor, most of the things inside No 1 were elegant, beautiful, and mostly white. There were many fine and pretty things, which are always fun for me to look at. There were figurines, candles and candle holders, ornaments, pillows, and other such things. The staff didn't bother us while we were looking around (which is something I appreciate universally), but once we came to the counter, the lady there was friendly, all smiles, and (thankfully) conversed with us in English. She asked if the piece we purchased was a gift, no it wasn't, and she had it boxed up for us so we could transport it home in our suitcase. She also asked if I'd like to have a free Kristiansand magazine, just to look at, which was a friendly gesture. If you're looking for some Norway-inspired decorations for your home, I'd highly recommend checking out this class place! It's just a block off the main street (Markens), if I remember correctly.

I loved visiting this store! All the beautifully designed, elegant, yet functional things you see…read morein magazines and online, it all hangs out here, ready to buy! While I wish I could have taken most of the things for sale at Hansen & Co. home, I actually didn't purchase anything. I still spent about 15 minutes roaming through the store, soaking it all in, and even sneaking a few pictures or pretty and inspirational things I saw inside. There were many plates and bowls and serving trays and such for the dining room, then also tea kettles, cheese slicers, and coffee gadgets for the kitchen. Calendars, figurines, Christmas decor, all kinds of things, and all with the Scandinavian, minimalist vibe. Absolutely everything in this store is beautiful, and even if you don't have tons of cash to spend like I didn't, I'd recommend peeking in and seeing what there is to look at!

I love Norway…read more.... Froken Larsen? It's Freakin' Awesome! (but I pronounce it as Arsom just to make it sound like this place. lol.). It's a cool spot to drink coffee, brew, eat something small and have fun with your friends. What I liked about this place was their designated room for performances. It was awesome! I was suppose to do a performance at this venue, but I was loving this city in Norway that I skipped out. lol. This is a straight place.

Over the years it has evolved into this minimalists looking place and the music has turned from singer/songwriter type and into club music played so loud that often you cant even carrie a conversation across the table as it does after 22 during the weekends. I may be old, but I really like to talk with my friends when Im out drinking. So if you are meeting your friends out for a drink, you have to be here early before they turn up the music. So until the music is too loud its a great spot to be.
