Selection is little, no demo equipment, customer service is lack luster older gentleman was highly rude. If this is the only place in Dothan I apologize to all residents who are looking for a music store because this one is not it. read more

I like the local feel to this music shop and they're always helpful. There is one employee in particular I always enjoy chatting with and who helped me to get an entry level amp to get back into guitar...Just a cool, humble dude. read more

I was in town visiting my daughters and spoiling my grandkids. Specifically, I was trying to buy a trumpet for my grandson. I'm an airline pilot and I don't get to visit often. And I will NOT visit again. I'm not sure if it's because I'm heavily tattooed, or if the owner just thought I was young or poor, but he all but refused to show me trumpets that I had cash in my pocket to buy. We were treated rudely as the owner kept explaining how "expensive" the trumpets were and continued to stall as I asked repeatedly to see the various trumpets. Apparently this man would rather judge a book it's cover rather than spend a few extra minutes to show me some trumpets and make a sale. read more

customer service is horrendous, stole my son's trumpet even though I was up to date on my payments. they claimed I didn't pay and that my card was declined despite proving my card had plenty of money on it and my card and zero declined charges. This happened at the Dothan Al store. I will be filing a stolen trumpet report with the police department. I want to know why Jackson county school district allows them in the school. DONT USE THEM EVER! after proving it was Arts music stores mistake they refused to even talk any more and refuse to return my son's trumpet. read more

I've had a terrible time working with people from this store to swap instruments. The sales person says that he has emailed and tried to call, yet there is no log of a call from his number or from the store's number back three months and no email, even in the junk folder, in that same time frame. They seem totally bent on causing my son problems in band class because the teacher has no extra instruments for him to use during class time either. read more

Upon entering the store and asking if it was okay to pick up a couple of guitars; I was told by the owner "Yeah sure but not too many please. We try to keep good strings on them". I assured him I was a pro and would wipe the strings off afterwards. 30 seconds later as I was browsing some electrics, he suddenly looks up at me and his one other employee and decides that they need to lock up and go to lunch in that EXACT moment. So there I am ready to potentially make a deal, and instead I get kicked out of the store and left outside in a rainstorm. Literally one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Don't go here unless you want to get treated rudely and end up disappointed.

This teacher is more interested in drumming technicality into students than she is in nurturing…read moremusicality. There is an annual recital, and even kids who have been taking piano lessons for years sound like they just started learning. She's been studying for another career, and now seems to just be doing this for the income. She kept one student I know on the same song for a whole year without variation, then complained that he was acting bored. Upon switching to another piano teacher, he is interested in music again and improving fast, especially with respect to rhythm and musicality. She does not allow parents into the room where the kids have their lesson with her, and makes them wait downstairs in her living room. I've heard her yelling at students, and nearly went upstairs to make sure everything was OK a couple of times. Also, she makes you take off your shoes when you come into her house while you are waiting for your child, and she can be very rude. You feel like an intruder. NOT Professional! I will begin with service - 0 would not be a low enough rating. evidently despite the fact I have visited from out of state ( PA) one to three times a year and spending between $200 - $3200 each visit I do not 'look' like their type of customer. I have never been treated as consistently badly. this time ( my last time) - I saw the merchandise had gotten even lower scale than ever. very little to purchase. However, I was purchasing a piece of smaller furniture for a garden display. - long story short after treating me like garbage and making me wait beyond ( a half hour beyond) my turn they finally managed to ring me up. It took an hour 15 minutes to purchase an item at the posted discount. i am a 70 year old woman with a toddler and could carry the item myself. In addition (Once again) - the woman behind the counter failed to pack all the items I paid for!!! which I discovered when 130 miles away - too late to turn back. -adding insult to injury the staff acted like I was a thief or undesirable. This stunned me because far more upscale shops remember me and welcome my presence. I do not believe ladies ever treat an older customer who has purchased from them over the years in the way I have endured. I'm tired of excusing the shoddy behavior, lack of service and routine failure to pack what I purchase. Please, do yourself a favor and stay away from this deteriorating standards of merchandise establishment. I will travel to other areas in the future and so should you. I have been in the business as a decorator and dealer and this place and it's desperate shabby ( in the worst way) merch and shoddy repro heavy merchandising sets a record for unpleasant and unprofessional.

So all I am giving this negative review for are the aforementioned autographs in the back. They are ALL beyond bad, all fakes and the seller should frankly be charged for selling these. It is 100% illegal. I personally know some of the athletes in the photos he has for sale, definitely not their autographs. Never trust a dealer like this in an antique mall of course, but been in sports and working with athletes 30+ years, I guarantee they're all bad and the seller needs to be held accountable. If you bought from them file a police report, this is a forgery scheme he's running, why they are letting him sell is insane. Did find couple other trading cards, dealer wanted $149.99 for an open set worth about $10 (maybe $20 if sealed), and $14.99 of repacked cards worth about a quarter just to look through for fun, real value is zero as it's junk wax era. Again, rest of the stuff looked typical, everyone in there seemed to have something in their hands that they were buying; but they need to boot whoever is selling the autographs before someone sues the dealer and them.

I will say they are a bit on the higher side in price, but they have many markdowns around the store and their items are quality pieces from the best furniture warehouses in the US. This is not one of those bargain places to buy cute furniture that breaks in a month, this place has sturdy and beautiful pieces. I actually sat down and felt the weight of some of these objects. Since I most likely won't be back in this part of town, they gave me a printout of all the designers and warehouses they order from to get pieces shipped to me, so that was awesome.

Purchased a 1k guitar here not too long ago. The lead sales fellow of the guitar department is knowledgeable and helpful. Since the purchase we've had our other guitars maintained by them. Wouldn't go anywhere else for guitar needs. read more
