On a daily basis we were exploring and sampling traditional Thai cooking at its best, enjoying its colour, tastes and fragrance, that are synonymous with 'authentic' Thai cooking. Sadly it has become apparent to us that most Thai restaurants in the UK only pander to the western palette, serving rather bland imitations. We were excited not only to discoverer Thai-Style offering Thai cookery courses, but language courses and anything else in between! So, we booked a cookery course! Both Jiab and Tom are very friendly and informative, nothing is too much trouble. I wasn't aware that all the ingredients you would require can be sourced locally. This is more than just cooking, Jiab actually takes you shopping and teaches you how to choose the correct stuff. They make it a friendly and fun way to learn. We are now equipped with the tools and the knowledge to begin embracing the 'Thai-style' through cooking at home. A healthy alternative to going out to a restaurant where we pay top dollar for disappointing Thai food. We now know how to prepare and cook an array of delicious authentic Thai meals. What a gem!

Butser Ancient Farm is an open air experimental Archæological museum, where dwellings from the…read moreMesolithic to the Saxon periods have been faithfully reproduced. Each building is a recreation of a real, excavated building, from around the U.K. Authentic materials and techniques are used. The buildings include a Mesolithic hut; two Neolithic round houses; a Neolithic long house; half a dozen Iron Age huts in a recreated village, complete with exterior ditch and stockade; a Roman Villa; and a Saxon long house. The site also has breeds of goats and sheep which are as close as possible to those which would have been found in these periods; and grows old forms of cereal such as emmer, spelt and barley. Each building has very good interpretation and on site staff give informative and enthusiastic explanations, and demonstrations of crafts. There's a strong emphasis on providing for children of all ages (though it's not really suitable for toddlers.) There's a small shop which also sells beverages and there are picnic tables for those who have brought their own picnics. There are toilets on site. It's a great place for families wanting an interesting and educational day out. As it's on a grassy site, although it is level, pushchairs and wheelchairs may have a hard time. Wear appropriate footwear in wet weather as it gets muddy underfoot!

They are quick to pick up any problems for the child and deal with it in a positive and effective way offering support promptly. The teaching and support staff are enthusiastic and not just stuck to the curriculum. Children are encouraged to learn through their strengths and supported through weaker areas. The school is currently having a new build which will be impressive I am sure and whilst my child no longer is at the school (we moved out of the area) she still is made welcome when we go and visit. They have chickens and rabbits too! I wont go on any more...its a really, really good school!

It always has achieved well compared to other schools in the surrounding area with P.C.C. being the normal secondary school to attend which enables many people to keep friends for life. 2 of my best friends still, I met at Mile Oak. They do so much each year with some type of pantomime performance being the highlight. My brother was involved in the Pied Piper of Hamlet Performance whilst I was involved in Oliver and Joseph and the technicoloured dream coat. My mum has these videos now. The balanced teaching here which is in line with the curriculum gives young people a good chance to start their own path in life. I have ended up at university and am the 1st person in my family to do so. The school football team is always competing to win the leagues. Each year 2 of the best players are chosen to trial out for Brighton Schools Boys who play other counties.
