My family took me here for a play. We have enjoyed many events and activities here over the years. The ticketing process was easy. Done online, we had QR code tickets for the event that were scanned at the door. The staff is welcoming and they are eager to help. I did notice that the seats are quite close so if it is a packed house, it feels like you are sitting on top of the folks around you. Also, the stairs in the Main Stage theater are quite steep. I noticed several senior citizens making their way down with canes and it was quite an endeavor for them. We thoroughly enjoyed the production. The cast and crew were top notch. I would go here again for a performance.

What a beautiful venue! I was here to see a play on the main stage, but the sculpture garden outside, the kids park, the museums and art galleries were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

I recently attended an awesome event at this lovely center. Parking galore made it easy to find a spot while I enjoyed the festivities inside. Staff were friendly and helpful in welcoming us to the space. The facility itself was well kept, clean and inviting. I was very excited to learn of the various offerings that take place here. From live shows to art exhibits and special events I'm sure to be back soon.

I ended up getting to stay for "Lyle, Lyle Crocodile" when I dropped my son off for a field trip last week. It had been years since I'd seen a show at The Arvada Center. We had so much fun! The actors were great and the sets and the story were very charming. My son and I enjoyed looking at the art displays on the way in and out. The whole audience at our show was made up of school groups, and I was impressed at the professional and efficient manner in which staff got all of the kids in and seated- really well done! My 4 year old loved the show (it was his first play) and wants to see more in the future. Looking forward to seeing you again, Arvada Center!

I have visited Arvada Center for the arts and have had a tremendous good time at the exchange program approved.... We recently attended a Yelp Event. Everyone that we conversed with that had to do with the museum or the arts itself were very friendly leading us in the direction that we needed to go ! We really didn't do any shopping while we were there, but we did look around and it was pretty amazing some thing to go back and check out some of the prices of items that were displayed for sale. Had a pretty good price on them and the selection was pretty decent as well, we enjoyed our event and we definitely will be back for other events there at the Arvada Center. Thank you so much for hosting and Happy New Year ! Thanks For The Read Until Next Time.....

Here to see this amazing play for the holidays. Here to support Mathenee in the play he's in. Beautiful building and have amazing art all around. Stadium seating that allows for a great experience. Service was prompt and easy ticket scanning. Great selection of beverages. Amazing value

I just absolutely love the Arvada center. I love the arts that's displayed there. I love the theater there too. I've been here for a couple different events. It's such a great little venue. I came here to see 'a gentleman's guide to love and murder' and it was such a superb play. I love that their theater have cascading seats which allows everyone to see and no one is ever blocked from view. This venue is always well kept. The prices for the plays are very reasonable. You can't go wrong in seating choices. I most definitely am coming back.

"Recently, my friend invited me on a personal tour. As you walk into the local cultural spot, it immediately captivates you with whimsical strips and vibrant colors hanging from above. Children's and adult creations adorn the walls and floors, creating a magical atmosphere. We came in for the free art tour service they provide through the city of Arvada which is absolutely phenomenal- It was a delightful visit, well spent time especially for those who appreciate artistry. Well there I also picked up the current schedule of spring classes available, and I was ecstatic to see the watercolor art classes being offered. It's a place where I can let my creative spirit run free. I might even try a tap dance class; they offer a good selection of classes. I'm sure the instructors are worth every dollar spent. I realize how much I have yet to learn--a great starting point to explore new interests.

Wonderful place to see a play! There are 2 theatres in the center. We attended Animal Farm in the black box theatre. The seats are comfy, it is a bit of an incline to get to your seats. My Mother had a bit of a rough time getting to her seat. The hand rail is a little far from the actual seat. I would suggest side viewing seats or lower rows if you have a hard time on the stairs. The cast in this play were awesome! We really enjoyed it! I want to go back to walk around the garden art walk. Looked pretty cool!

This was my first time here and thought this was an excellent venue! I had received tickets to see "The Laramie Project" inside the Black Box Theatre. Picking up tickets from will call, we had lots of time to spare so we walked thru the art gallery that had an exhibit up for display based on a staff members recommendation. It was very cool. Afterwards we headed upstairs to the 2nd floor where that theatre was located and grabbed a snack and drink prior to going in. You can bring drinks inside just not the snacks so we made sure to finish in enough time to go find our seats. I didn't realize I had chosen the first row! But that turned out to be a good thing, the theatre is a cool set up! The stage area is small in front of you and then there are a few rows off to each side of the set as well. It was a great performance, the actors were great! The show was of a very heavy subject nature and there were not many dry eyes in the house once it ended, including mine. The place was very clean, all members of staff we encountered were super nice and helpful! I would definitely come back for another performance some day!

Where to begin? RMCAD has the potential to be a great post-secondary art education institution -…read morethey have a beautiful intimate campus, and a great student-to-teacher ratio for in-person classes, and yet, they still fall short in so many ways. Post-COVID, on-campus enrollment plummeted--over 80% of students didn't return to in-person classes, leaving roughly 150 students now on campus each term. This caused major issues, including a lack of available in-person classes required for your major, and frequent professor reassignments. Instructors often don't know what they're teaching until one or two weeks before a term starts, leading to severe underpreparedness and a poor learning experience. Faculty professionalism is another major issue. While a few professors genuinely care about their students and try to do a good job, most fall short. So far, I would say only 30% of the professors I've had have been average / good, while the other 70% have been underprepared, unqualified to teach, and quite frankly don't seem like they even want to be here. The education quality is often worse than public high school and incomparable to my previous college experience. One professor didn't bother to grade assignments for the last four weeks of class, ignored feedback requests from her students, and openly talked about her desire to leave RMCAD. Instead of teaching, she spent most of our class time shopping online and watching TV shows--yet she remains employed despite official documented student complaints. What does that tell you about the quality of education here and the school's priorities? Some of the course curriculum being taught raises eyebrows too; there are many mistakes, out-of-order learning units, and outdated information in the LMS (learning management system), which each class is supposed to follow, whether you are an on-ground or online student. If you take classes online, not having direct access to your professor necessitates a lot of back-and-forth communication and easily creates confusion, whenever there are blatant mistakes in the learning module you are supposed to be following, since online classes do not have professors that lecture. RMCAD also struggles with student retention due to institutional ineffectiveness and poor communication. A major frustration is the inability to schedule your own classes, an unusual policy for higher education. While students can submit scheduling preferences, these are ignored 90% of the time. The registrar's office frequently assigns students to classes that don't fit their availability, even when better options exist. This makes maintaining a job or arranging childcare extremely difficult. Every term, I've had to fight for schedule corrections, despite clear solutions being available from the start - they just always get overlooked by the people in charge of making your schedule. If you try to be proactive, efforts to resolve issues are met with endless runarounds and finger-pointing between departments. Promised follow-ups rarely happen, requiring students to chase answers repeatedly. Younger, first-time college students would likely find this process even more frustrating. Despite being paying customers, students must constantly advocate for themselves to receive basic services. Despite being a student at RMCAD for less than a year, these are not the only alarming issues I've encountered here - I could go on but am limited by Google's review character count maximum. The root issue is that students are not RMCAD's priority. Instead, financial interests seem to dominate decision-making, which makes sense given it's a for-profit institution. Unfortunately, leadership seems unaware that taking care of students would, in turn, improve the school's financial health. The campus's main owners and the college's president all lack backgrounds in education, and this disconnect reverberates throughout the institution. As a result, students receive a poor experience and low-quality education, making RMCAD an unworthy investment.

We also used pastels on top, which I thought added a really cool texture to my work. The teacher made each part seem so simple, everyone in the class was able to make something really beautiful. Being that the event was on a Saturday the parking lot was relatively empty so I didn't have to find street parking, but I did notice many of my classmates found street parking. No one complained do it must have been easy. The class was small and intimate with 8 of us present. The instructor Karin introduced us to the Art Students League of Denver, the offerings, and some history. We went around the room and discussed everyone's level of experience and interests. She really listened and worked to tailor our experience based on our responses. Each seat was set up with the materials we needed and we started off with introductory stitches. After an hour we focused on our Art piece and near the end of class picked up remaining supplies to finish our work at home. 10 mins before leaving we all did stretching exercises and cleaned up the room. I'd recommend attending if others are interested in learning something new or expanding their skill set.

Actually impressed doesn't quite cover it. I am completely and utterly floored, flabbergasted and blown away.... The talent here is ridiculous and like Colin mentioned in his review, DSA offers some of the most wonderful plays, musicals, concerts and dance productions in the entire Metro area. Last night's performance was a Broadway review which the kids will actually perform downtown tonight for a big fund-raising gala for The Kempe Foundation. There are simple not enough ways to describe just how talented these kids are and how spectacular the show was. As the first act began and the young lady opened her mouth, my God the sound that came out was quite literally unreal. To be so young and so gifted it was enough to bring a person to tears. Things got better from there, which is hard to believe considering it started out at FANTASTIC! There were dancers and singers and actors which easily rival anything on Broadway.
