The 80 min deep tissue massage was excellent -thank you Angelique!!. I've been to her twice now. I love the added aromatherapy! Pluses- there is a small locker room to change before and after, shower etc,. Fully stocked. Cons- only one quiet room or waiting area.... Not so private or quiet. Bright too. Uncomfortable sitting in a robe with other males in room. It would be nice to have separate quiet rooms to relax before/after services. All the other day spas have them. Spa music and warm tea, water, wine should be offered in an area that is quiet and soothing. Maybe with crystal salts toooo. read more

This was my first time at Asante. Normally I go to Hoshall's Salon & Spa, but I wanted to try Asante since they are a lot closer to my house. My review compares my first time experience at Asante to my typical experience at Hoshall's. When I booked my appointment, I originally called during normal business hours and no one answered the phone. Instead I was forced to book online. At the other spa, I have someone that takes me to my locker/dressing room, will wait for me while I change, be there with a beverage for me, and will get the steam room set up for me if I need it. I didn't get any of that at Asante. I was simple shown to the lounge without any further instruction. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment hoping to use the steam room but instead was left to wait until my esthetician showed up. I spent a lot of time in the lounge area waiting, and having never been to this spa before I felt a little abandoned. If it weren't for the fact that I had been to another spa before I wouldn't have known what to expect. I expected more of a tour, this how we do things, etc. considering this was my first time to Asante. My service itself was fine, but what I got during the 80 minute facial I could get in a 60 minute facial at my other spa for $25 less. The only difference was at Asante I got my feet massaged - at Hoshall's I just get neck, back and hands. My esthetician Clare was very attentive to my skincare needs, and I appreciated her listening to me and making suggestions. I did find it a little tacky that she wrote down a suggested skincare regimen on the back of a "while you were out" piece of paper. At Hoshall's they have tailored stationary for that purpose. I did like that I was able to given a prescription retinol, and it has been working wonder for my skin in just a short amount of time. But I didn't enjoy spending $91 on it, so I will probably try visiting a dermatologist so I can get that covered by my health insurance. I would probably come back to try the Back Care Treatment since that is something Hoshall's does not have, but for everything else I will stick with Hoshall's. For the price, amenities, and ambience Asante just didn't deliver like I expected it to. read more

Horrible experience!! Booked a 7:30PM appointment and showed up in the parking lot at 7:13pm only to be told my appointment was at 7:00pm and would not accommodate me! Wow! When I explained they were incorrect and I was on time, even early and drove all the way over they said "Maybe" I can get a future discount for their mistake, What!!?? What a lovely experience we had at Asante! This spa has the "spa environment" down pat. I went with a group of 7 ladies for a girls day out, and we were all so pampered. We each got a robe and slippers and headed out to the jacuzzi to relax until massage time. My massage was by Chenise (not sure if that's her exact name). I went for a facial, and was not impressed. The facial was just okay for the price, and the employee giving the facial did not seem knowledgable. She asked if I had any concerns, and then did not address my concerns either during the facial or verbally. I had an excellent facial here a few weeks ago! The service was top notch (minus being denied wine by the first hostess) and loved being able to hang out in our robes in the waiting room and if the weather was suitable the outside area looked great as well. But I'd love it if the hostess wasn't so strict on her rules about wine. She said we were all given 1 glass of wine but we brought our own so she said well you weren't suppose to do that but we were never told that. So she then decided to deny us their glass of wine. This was the best massage I ever had! Janelle was her name she took a look at me and told me your pretty small framed you want to try a breast pillow? Showed me how it worked amazing it made my massage that much more amazing!! I didn't feel smashed on the table very comfortable! Along with a sugar scrub the spa didn't have the table shower but made up for it by setting up your shower for you! I felt like they waited on you and actually cared about your spa day! My facial was even really good, steam, extractions, and high frequency! The esthetician had a lot of product knowledge and her scalp massage and shoulder massage was so good! Salem is an absolute miracle worker! I came in right before Christmas for a deep tissue massage to try and alleviate some of the pain I was having in my shoulder and neck. Not only did I leave feeling much better, but Salem was able to give me suggestions of ways to gently stretch the fascia and release tension! I am not at all happy to write this review! I have to tell you that my wife and daughters have visited Asante previously (a few months ago) and on other occasions and had a wonderful experience. Sadly, my wife recently went to Asante with my daughter. It started off that the massage therapist was being extremely rough and hurting my wife. She asked her to ease off. The woman ignored my wife and continued. My wife once again asked her to ease off but was once again ignored. My wife being too polite endured the rest of a horribly painful massage that resulted in bruises! My daughter spoke to the manager who acted like my daughter and wife were wrong to bother her with this. She offered a 50% discount on the massage. We found the owner's email address and sent him a note explaining what happened and the attitude of the manager! He has thus far ignored us and not responded. We are not new to massage and go other places in the area that provide a good service for a fraction of the price. My wife and daughters like to come here for the total care package, the environment, and a really great massage. Sadly we will not be returning and I urge everyone to find an alternative to Asante as their new management style obviously could care less about customers! read more

This facility is definitely not worth the money. I booked the 50 minute Fitness Facial for myself and mother. The service and estheticians we both had were very good, and we really enjoyed the natural product line. However, the facility was extremely disappointing for the prices we paid. We arrived right at our appointment time, knowing we should have arrived early and were prepared for our service time to be cut slightly short. However, after we quickly completed the paperwork, my esthetician was not even ready and I had to wait another 5 minutes for her while the clock was ticking on my service. The facial ended promptly at 10 minutes before the hour which meant my facial was only 40 minutes. I would have expected this due to us not arriving early for our appointment, except for the fact that my esthetician was not ready when I did arrive, so my service would have started late even if I had arrived early. The facility's lockers were full so we did not have an opportunity to change into robes and slippers as we waited. Had we been early for our appointment as recommended, this would have been very annoying. The steam room and sauna are part of the gym locker room and they are disgusting. This is NOT a spa steam experience. The spa lounge is a basic room with couches that offers a small assortment of Bigelow tea and Kirkland coffee (no artisan herbal teas that you would expect at a nice spa), and Nature's Valley granola bars. They did offer a glass of wine which was nice but it was a $12 bottle of Boeger, nothing exceptional. Lastly, the bathroom/locker room area was small and drab and equipped with low quality salon products. Extremely disappointed overall with my experience given the amount of money we paid and would never recommend this spa to anyone. read more

I visited this Spa for their a Father's Day special that offered a massage and beer & bratworst. The best part of the experience was the beer and bratworst. The massage was good....but there was a lot of noise in the hallway that took away from the relaxing experience. The other negative was that the outside patio is connected to the El Dorado Hills Athletic club and there was a constant stream of people walking along the fence next to the outside patio....The waterfall does a decent job a hiding the noise....but not enough for me to want to stay outside very long. read more

I tried to schedule 4 services for me and my girlfriend over the phone and I tried to explain that the services should be consecutive to each other so that neither one of us is sitting alone with no services being performed. That took 25 minutes, no joke. When we got there, my girlfriend sat there for 45 minutes alone, in the waiting room area, waiting for either one of her services to begin while I was getting my facial. Finally she complained, and she got her pedicure that lasted 10 minutes and was $35. At the end, after we paid and tipped, I complained to the manager. She stared at us, listened and said very insincerely that she was sorry. The manager's attitude was the worst of all. I am never going back, although I live in EDH and LOVE Ginger and her facials. read more

Asante Spa is the best place for a pedicure. The express pedicure is $35, but you can have a glass of wine, tea, fruit and/or a granola bar. The waiting area is very nice, you can also sit on the patio if the weather is good. The staff is great. Went to Asante last Friday. Had a great spa day. Facial and peel with Charlotte who was wonderful . Then scrub, Yon-Ka mud treatment and massage with Julie. She was excellent...I highly recommend her for massage. The "Swiss" shower was great...I think it has 12 shower heads? Love the little courtyard with the water wall, very relaxing. Typical spa prices but I think the value is in the excellent services. I will definitely return to see Charlotte and Julie again. read more

I really enjoy coming to this place. It's quiet and clean and the workers are really sweet. I have had facials, massages, pedicures and manicures and loved it all. I feel it's worth the cost especially for the cleanliness and care used. The only downside is with small babies my schedule constantly changes so you can't just come in for a little pampering, but sometimes it's a week in advance or more to get an appointment. The gym next door does offer childcare but you should call them separately to confirm if they have an opening for your child. It is offered for spa customers but for an additional cost and only for two hours. So if you plan on spending more time here plan on getting a babysitter instead. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely join the next door gym (they offer a discount to spa treatments if you become a member). I plan on coming every other week now that I have a babysitter for my kids! read more
