Spenser evaluated my issues and found that my right leg was shorter than the other as well as identifying the possible causes of my pain. Over the course of 6 weeks six both Spenser and Alex provided physical therapy exercises and within a very short period of time my endurance and gait improved significantly and my hip, knee and ankle pain improved significantly. I also have experienced great results from the at-home exercises. I will be discharged tomorrow, 8/13/26 and couldn't be happier with my results. Having fallen several times, with and without my walker, I have been in and out of physical therapy for the past fourteen years. I have a total lumbar fusion, two total knee replacements, an index finger surgery in which I nearly lost it, three abdominal surgeries, and am obese. Since moving to Littleton, CO, from Wisconsin in 2024, I have been on continuous oxygen therapy 24/7 for COPD. Additionally, I have neuropathy in both feet and lymphedema, and I underwent vascular surgery on both legs within the past year. I use tactile compression boots on my legs and feet daily and often wrap them with Ace bandages. The therapists here are brilliant! I am very impressed with their knowledge and skills, and my primary care doctor is equally pleased with their practice. I had Rebecca and Tom for most of the first fifteen months. Tom consistently monitored my oxygen levels because I wasn't on oxygen therapy until he diagnosed that I needed it. My oxygen levels stayed at 80-83 for a few sessions, and I began feeling weak and faint. He told me I needed my doctor to check me and prescribe oxygen so I could raise my level above 90. I am very grateful to him because my previous primary care doctor was less than satisfactory. I made an appointment with a pulmonologist at the National Jewish Health Center in Denver, where I was sent home with an oxygen canister the same day. Shortly after, I found a new primary care doctor. I returned after a couple of weeks and continued my sessions with Tom and a student field experience associate for a few months. After a five-month break, I have returned to Functional Performance and am starting to focus on my back and legs. Tom is no longer at this location, so I have seen Rebecca and Alex. Rebecca reassessed me and assigned me to Alex for the coming weeks. He did an excellent job warming up my back muscles and legs. Then, he guided me through the exercises Rebecca had assigned on my first day back. I am keeping a daily workout log and sending it to my daughter via SMS to stay motivated. I've had PT a couple of times before in a different state and Rebound was the best. The atmosphere is congenial, light and professional and educational. My recovery was great and my knee is doing well a year post op. I've referred a couple of friends to Rebound and would go back there again without hesitation if I needed PT again. I repeated asked mul times a day for some warmer clothes as I was freezing. you are only given one blanket. Ms. Misha gave me a second blanket to try to warm up but the unit was soooo cold and you couldn't take blankets into the rec area. On Monday the nurse yelled at me to "cover my legs " as shorts were not permitted. I was given paper scrubs that fell down over my behind. Other gender neutral people were still permitted to just wear shorts!! On Tuesday (5 days in facility) a BHA offered me a size 20 pair of pants, 5x pair of pants and 3x and 2x pair of pants. I asked him his waste size and added 10 to his number then asked "Could you wear tho pants without a belt?" he responded negatively. The people leading the groups were fantastic! however bring warm clothing and expect not to sleep as they constantly wake you up to ask you to show your bracelet.

While the initial few sessions were often and expensive (sometimes tough to see the light at the end of the tunnel) I am glad I stuck it out! It honestly has been the only thing that has worked to keep my range of motion in my neck normal. Keep in mind I've tried it ALL, massage, dry needling, chiropractic and this really did the trick. I now go once a month to keep things under control and I have been super happy with doing so. I wish the sessions were a bit longer but I understand that there is only so much work you can do on one area (especially a neck) before it gets irritated and inflamed. I am very happy with the treatment here.

I arrived with little to no range of motion, and a jaded outlook as my attempts at avoiding surgery at a different PT clinic had epically failed and left me worse off. When I called to make my first appointment, I relayed my concerns -- and unlike the other clinics I called, I wasn't dismissed, but rather scheduled with the clinic director with more extensive experience and advanced certifications. To say that I've been pleased with the progress made entirely possible due to the hands-on treatment, customized therapy sessions, communication about at-home exercises, pain management and an understanding of the non-linear progress that is postoperative healing, is an understatement. I decided to select Mile High Physical Therapy, in the Lowry neighborhood. I am glad that I chose this practice. I randomly selected Mile High, after surfing the list of Humana in-network PT providers. After about 10 unsuccessful tries at other practices, Mile High was the only call whereby someone, a human, answered the phone. That was my first clue that they would offer personalized service. I worked with both doctors, Kimberly Houston, and Padeu Wolfe, who seriously compliment each other, well-representing the elegance and ambiance of the minalist modern decor. They use state of the art tools, including the Kinesis cable system, and an elastic flex wand/bar that just fascinated me! Between Dr. Kimberly Houston and Dr. Padeu Wolfe, not only did I work on their sophisticated cable system, and magic wand, I received the most gentle massages in the damaged area, my rotator cup.
