There is a good Deli here too, with a wide variety of take away meals, cheeses, meats and an in-house bakery offering freshly baked bread and delicious cakes. Morrison's also has a great selection of "free from" foods with gluten, dairy and wheat free products. The staff are friendly, there is a good in-house Café to eat at, and the store supports the local community well through a notice board and fund raising projects. The only thing stopping me giving this Morrison's 5 stars is the fact that I've regularly found it lacking in stock. Every day items often seem to be out of stock and not replenished quickly. That apart, it's my local Supermarket of choice and rarely disappoints.

I think the best thing about Morrisons is definitely their salad bar and also the choice of freshly cooked foods! You can choose your own and as I remember it's fairly reasonably priced. There's always lots to choose from, though I advise that you do not go after 6pm as often the assistants are clearing things away. We have also picked up some great bargains at the bakery aisle, including 50p cream cakes and boxes of mini chocolate muffins. You just have to know the times to go in to bag the bargains ;) Staff are generally fine, though I sometimes find that the checkout assistants are quite rude about giving carrier bags not sure why this is - perhaps company policy?! I don't know but I find it a little offputting that I am buying my shopping from them yet they skimp on little things like carrier bags.

If you want a mega-sized supermarket then this is the one closest to town centre. It has little variety of products. Mostly just own brands. In the evening especially, you wil find it difficult to get around the store because most passages will be blocked with piles of boxes and carts. Asda, being a generally fairly good value chain, usually is full of good offers. This particular store just feels more pricey, possibly for the lack of choice.

Although the store is relatively small it stocks all the essentials needed for living at very cheap prices. The newly initiated 'Sainsbury's basics' line is ideal for penny pinching students such as myself. The staff are always friendly and although it can get quite busy at peak times (such as the evening) they always have a smile. All in all an excellent supermarket in an ideal location.
