Big, cheap supermarket with large George store and cafe. Large choice of goods at the cheapest prices available. I have had some problems with belligerent staff here, but have always sorted this out with higher management! Staff will accept coupons but are wary of printed coupons. read more

Nice big store, easily accesible by all, cheap prices on food and clothes and never normally any problems. I have however had the occasional problem with meat which hasn't been too good but a full refund and get a gesture of goodwill! Staff accept coupons for most items which makes your shopping even cheaper! read more

went to Asda tonight to buy some clothes. Spent ages picking out some clothes to try on only to find that the changing rooms close at 6pm (it was 6.02pm at the time). I work, I can't get there to try on clothes through the day. What does it take for them to keep the changing rooms open after 6? I won't be going back. read more

Asda is the largest Supermarket in Blyth, offering the largest selection of products at discounted prices. Never failed to find what i need and never had any problems with service - although i generally use the 'self service' checkouts - despite these being somewhat tempermental, there is always a member of staff on hand to rectify the problems that the checkouts experience. Not a good place for the underage drinkers to go to buy alcohol. I'm 25 and still get requested for ID by checkout staff every time. Although i take that as a compliment! Also has the convenience of the instore George clothing department, the instore Cafe and the fuel station at the exit of the car park, which is always the first place to offer lower fuel costs in the area. read more

Asda Blyth is a good, basic one stop shop, you can most of the items you need at all times. The staff are helpful and go out of their way to assist customers to find what they want - in all the years the store has been open, I have only once had a problem with a stroppy assistant, and that was quickly resolved by the manager. Most long term staff take an interest in their customers and their needs, and are friendly, helpful and courteous. Management staff listen to customers and try to implement helpful suggestions from the public, (not always helped by their Walmart bosses, who don't seem to follow British standards of staff or customer relations) Generally a pleasant place to shop read more

Its a nice big store with a variety of items, some bargain prices. BUT i have started to go else where, morrisons and Tescos, because of the carrier bag issue. I like to do a couple of monthly, big shops where i can spend £500, and then a few smaller ones where ill spend £150-£200. I always have a lot of items, so when I get told check out im told there are no bags?? i can buy the bags for life; i dont mind buying some bags for life but its a joke when your spending so much in a store, that they cant issue some free bags. This has happened 3 times now, 3x to many, i go else where where its more accommodating. In addition, I was at a check out, with one person being served in front, their shopping was nearly through, yet i was left waiting, 20 mins because the checkout assistant was chatting!! as if i have all day! Their home shopping deliveries i find even worse, the whole purpose for online shopping home delivery is so that its convenience and you dont have to go to the store: wrong!! they restrict on how much you can buy, (eg i cant buy a few weeks of dog food, itll let me order a couple of days worth) and then often the delivery comes and ts short of goods? then i have to slaver to the store anyways!! costing me fuel to go, because they wouldn't bring the items out when they are next delivering in my area wheres the point? its ok if you want a small shop, anything in bulk or a larger shop, good luck! theres a few other things that's annoyed me to, but it would take to long to type them all. read more
