Great for a small shop, couldnt do all my shopping here, but alot of very nice food, of no worse…read morequality than anywhere else. Good parking, although many elderly and disabled park in the mother and baby spaces, and give YOU the dirty look when you get out the car! Pound coin or token needed for trolley, which there are plenty of. Interesting middle section that changes every few days so every shopping trip is slightly different. Staff tend to whizz things through the checkout at warp speed so you have to be on the ball packing! Aisles well spaced with plenty of room to zoom past the dawdlers, fruit and veg can be a bit hit and miss, but with prices so low, its barely worth complaining. Definately worth a visit, can save a fortune here.

Food is nice and cheap and is always in the same place, they often change the stock in the middle…read moreof the store so every shopping trip is different and theres always a bargain to be had! Quick and easy to shop in compared to other supermarkets. Food on the whole is very nice, although some of the fruit and veg can be a bit battered, but very cheap and great for soups and stews. Sometimes have to queue at the till and still havn't got the hang of the packing properly, i end up just throwing everything in the trolley, then bagging it up at the car! Stress free shopping on a budget. The only gripe i have is there are no baskets, only trollies which you need a £1 coin to use.

Five stars in class!…read more For the ten days I stayed in the town of Eu last year, I visited Auchan 7 times... For those with the good chance of living within 100 miles of an Auchan, I suspect it's taken for granted that such offerings exist. It's clear that the business model works in France, where the enjoyment of food is paramount, and the notion of "healthful and wholesome diet" is understandably secondary given that enjoyment of a diversity takes care of that. This review, therefore, is written for the vast majority of us in the States that would relish having an Auchan to go to - and to access the freshest ingredients from a broad spectrum of ingredients. If the business model were to be compared to one in the U.S., the closest I could come to would be a "Super-Walmart" - but what a travesty of a comparison that would be. Auchan is rather like Costco - in the sense that Costco aims to provide the highest quality ingredients. But, Auchan is not a warehouse outlet - and therefore concerns itself with a VERY, VERY broad and deep spectrum of fresh foods. What's particularly fascinating to me is that this particular Auchan is effectively servicing three relatively small towns (or, relatively large villages). There are Auchan stores across France, as well as in a dozen or so other countries. Doing a quick Wiki search, I see that Houston and Chicago were host cities to the only two Auchan stores in the U.S., but they were suffering losses because they simply couldn't attain the economy-of-scale advantages they would have needed to thrive. This review - ultimately - is a statement of envy to all of you that get to enjoy shopping here. The U.S., with all of our clear benefits as a nation, has NOTHING remotely close to an Auchan. Be happy with your lot!

Auchan - It's absolutely unheard of to see such beautiful Serrano's in a large mega-mart, or even boutique stores in the U.S.!
