I've been a customer (solely for eyebrow threading) for about two years at this place. In the beginning, it was a hit & miss experience with them but I learned that you really have to voice out exactly how you want it look otherwise they will expect you to allow them do whatever they can on your eyebrows. Which I think it's kinda unprofessional on (some employees) their part because normally most salons would ask the customers what they want firsthand. So if you're new and want to check it out, voice your desires clear to them. if you want it thick, tell them that. If you want it thin, tell them that. If you want a certain shape, tell them that. If you notice some hair left, keep telling them to make sure it's clean. Keep looking at the mirror (or ask if you can use the smaller mirror, so you can watch while you're sitting down) as they thread along on your brows. For me, I kept a photo of my fav brows she did on me the second time I went and I used that photo to show them exactly how I want it to look every time I came in. After a while, she got used to me and my brows were excellent after every appointment. It's probably best that you stick with one threader all the way as they know you and your brows really well. I stick with mine all the way, following her schedule so I know exactly when to come. Yall, 5 bucks for the brows and thats a bomb deal right there. read more

The owner lady Ashima is a total nuisance. She will only try to sell her services instead of doing what the customer has requested. She does a worst hair cut job. In all other salons the stylist informs you what she/he will do to your hair every step. This lady will not even let the customer know if she is thinning your hair. She just does everything her way. To top that she talks crap that your hair is very frizzy. Do not use Henna and you need to start coloring. I offer those services.... Bottom Line she only wants to make more money by only trying to sell additional services rather than focusing on the job what the customer has requested and has come for. One of the worse people I have ever met. Ashima. I sent a video of how I wanted my hair cut. she said I can do it in the chat. I went and she goes "your hair is unhealthy", You put this and that and dont listen to your friends and do what they say" "whatever haircut you like, it wont come because you are losing hair, you have thin hair". She doesnt let you talk. period. She will also talk and when I respond, while me responding she will be talking to her other customers without even listening to what I said. My haircut was nothing to do with the video I sent. I spent 45. no wash nothing. Also i gave 5 dollar tip for her time. Not that she did a great job. the video I showed had themodel who has thin hair but the haircut was something I wanted. She said she will do but Ashima is a nonsense. Nonstop nonsence. She asks me what shampoo do you use? i said nexus. she goes use volumizing shampoo like moroccon. nexus is volumizing. Moroccon is what she has in her store. she wants to get commision for selling that. Most of the comments she made about my hair was so untrue. She has no idea what she is talking about. They don't listen to you. I asked Daxa to NOT trim my eyebrows because I don't like that look. What did she do? She cut my eyebrows. This is extremely upsetting because I don't come here often and I decided to because I have a photo shoot in two days. She ruined my eyebrows and they're uneven. Edit: I thought I would throw in she said she "forgot" because there were too many customers. Daxa threaded my eyebrows and told my to go take a seat in the waiting room, that she will thread the rest of my face after she does the next customers eyebrows. Over the years, I have come to this place for haircuts, shampoo service, threading, among other services. She used to charge $25 -$30 for a wet cut, long hair. She now charges $20 just to wash your hair. She knows me, but never bothered to learn my name. There are boxes thrown all over the salon, so it looks disorganized and messy. Her employees are very pushy, trying to impose unsolicited services on you. Blowouts are now $60+. She saw me the other day and she asked me why I have not come to her place. I told her, very sincerely, that I cannot afford her place. She looked at me all puzzled, like I was crazy. Highlights are now $260 for long hair (well, up to my shoulders). But to be honest, I have never been there for highlights. I will never go there for highlights! I have paid her $20 for shampoo because my daughter was hurt and couldn't wash her hair. Other stylists have seen mistakes in her cuts, so I cannot tell you if she does the job right. The employees speak to each other during service hours, making this place not so professional. The fact that she never asked for my name after so many years tells you about her lack of interest in the client. She is more interested in chatting with her friends than paying attention to me and chatting with me. This is something that goes on in many small salons. It is rude and it needs to stop. If you are providing a service to a client, look at your client, talk to your client, have eye contact. Show some interest in your client. Ashima and her associates cannot even do that. read more

This is the worst salon I've been to ever in my life. The lady (A Gujarati middleaged female) is extremely unprofessional. She removed the hand sanitizer when she saw me using it, when I asked for it she said I couldn't touch it, my skin also bled when she used threading, it was painful and she seemed to not care about it. I'll keep it simple - the owner is a scam artist, the owner doesn't care about what customers want - rather focuses on what she wants customers to do, and the quality of the products is horrible. Service has really gone down. The staff will lie to you about wait time so that you don't leave. And the wait is not 15-20 min. You end up waiting 30-45 minutes easily. Lighting is not good at all. Each time I get home I always find hairs I need to pluck out. I have even added on to my service thinking paying more for full face would help and I end up having discoloration because they miss so much hair and I have shadows of stripes. This place hasn't changed not one bit. I was on my way home and this was the only place opened so I figured I'd do a quick service. I specifically asked to have a service done and the lady attending to me decided to do more than I requested. When it came to pay she upcharged me for a very small service that I requested. Her reason was that she decided to do more because she felt the service was needed. I became highly upset because I specifically requested only two small services and she went on to do additional work. This place needs to be shut down and genuinely I'm not sure why they are still running business. They scam way too much. I was giving grace thinking they have changed but given the amount of years and the reviews shown here, it's safe to say they'll never change in service or improve. They will quickly tell people to sit in a chair but don't take the time to understand the services that customers request. They are big on looking to make money but have 0 customer service skills. This business deserves to be reported to the state and the BBB. That's how horrible this establishment is. I highly wouldn't recommend this nightmare of a place to anyone. Save your coins and time. I typically go to a place in Dallas where the service is Amazing and they are known in the entire city for their excellent work and service. They are very cost friendly and everything they do is superior and clean. When the shop I go to in Dallas is doing work, she wears gloves and never uses her bare hands to touch over and openly threaded area (WHICH IS DANGEROUS)! In Ashima's they don't practice proper sanitation and will re-use the same wax paper to go over an entire wax service which is another sanitary NO NO! Due to a family emergency the owner of that shop had, I decided to come to Ashima's that reminded me how horrible of a place it is. The lady manipulated me and told me my hair is "so" damaged that I need a haircut and scalp massage which would be fifty dollars? Lol. So I told her that a trim makes me nervous because people always cut off too much and I am sensitive about that. She said she would only do half an inch. This lady cuts off almost TWO INCHES. Then when it was over she accused me of lying and I went and picked up the hair and it was clearly two inches. Went there for threading recently while waiting for others in front of me wait their turn and go to the chair, I noticed there is no proper hygiene happening. I called this salon for a haircut. I was told that the price was $25 and that after looking at my hair, she could possibly offer me a discount (her way of luring me in). I asked whom I was speaking with and she said, "Ashima, the owner." I decided to give it a try and totally regret it! I should have listened to the Yelp reviews about the owner being rude and the service being terrible. Upon arrival, I was told that they were having issues with their WiFi and that hopefully she would have it fixed so that I could pay with a CC when checking out. I'm thinking, why didn't you tell me this on the phone as I showed up to the salon only 30 minutes after I spoke with her on the phone! When I sat in the chair, she began cutting my hair and told me that it would actually be $35!! I told her that she told me $25 on the phone with the possibility of receiving a discount. She started saying something about how it was a specific type of cut and basically scamming me! All I ask for was a straight cut with a few layers in the back! She barely cut an inch off my hair! It was not a special cut at all!! When checking out, her WiFi was still not working and I didn't have cash. She told me she would need to write my CC # down and charge me later when her machine is working. I expressed how I was uncomfortable with leaving my CC # and that anyone could steal that #! She started getting an attitude with me about that! Bottom line is, the owner, Ashima, is completely rude. She's a scammer and the customer service probably doesn't get worse than this! Went 2 weeks back to do my eyebrows pluck. The two ladies working there ( 1 named Daksha, other person I should have asked her name) both we're talking in Hindi and was about me while was doing my eyebrows plucking, and the things they we're talking about me makes me feel so angry and upset that why did I went there rather than going some other place. I did a hair color service and the service was very POOR. They DO NOT accept their mistake and tend to get MORE $$$ for a very POOR service. When I went back to the salon the very next day to ask why the color is so horrible, Ashima just argues her point, again and again without understanding or even listening to my (a customer's) concerns. The highlight is, Ashima herself says "who is going to look through your hair to know the hair color is un-even" this is a very rude comment to make to a customer. I always love coming here. I started coming to this place in 2016 after an incident with my previous eyebrow lady. I walked right in and was immediately seated with someone, I told her what i wanted and she delivered! My eyebrows are always SAVED after my visits. They also offer eyebrow tinting which i highly recommend especially if you're a wake up and go type of person! The tint looks dark initially but after the wipe off looks amazing! I only go to one SPECIFIC threader here, the others do well but she always makes it a point to make sure i am absolutely satisfied and if i see something wrong doesn't hesitate to fix it! I've done a facial here and it's decent, I don't need much skincare thankfully but it's nice to know they offer it! They also offer heena, which i've had done once.. And a bonus: they just remodeled!!! It looks AMAZING. Prices I spend: eyebrows $6 lip $3 tinting $10 it's not expensive whatsoever and i believe the full face is $20! read more

I was referred here by my sister! Everything she told me was spot on! Docsha (spell check) did my brows as well as my sisters! She did an excellent job! I've always been insecure about my eyebrows because they are so thin & I have no arch. She fixed them & advises me to continue to come in but she will let the hair on one of them grow out so it could match the other brow. When she threaded my brows, u couldn't even tell that one was previously messed up. The tint was neatly put on & when I wiped it off, I almost cried because my eyebrows were PERFECT! My husband and I went in for an eyebrow threading this week. They were nice at first and suggested we do waxing instead bc of the health guidelines concerning Covid-19 (they couldn't thread with one end in their mouth like normal). As for my personal experience it was okay, but the lady waxing me noticeably kept pushing all of the facials on me trying to get me to buy $100 facials multiple times. It seemed like she was really trying to make a sale especially offering discounts when I kept refusing which I thought was bothersome. As for my husband, the lady waxing him seemed to have had the wax way too hot causing BURNS and SCABBING on his forehead and above/below the eyebrow. I've had waxes before so I'm well aware that this is not a normal reaction. When we left the salon he seemed alright but the days passing his skin started scabbing as if it had been completely ripped off. The WORST PART was the poor customer service upon calling for a refund. My husband has been frequenting this salon for at least EIGHT years, yet they wouldn't allow a refund for a long time customer. When I mentioned they should at least refund the money for his part of the bill the manager told me that "they're going through hard times" and that they're "not even making hundreds of dollars" off of their services. I told her everyone's going through hard times yet we chose this specific salon (which honestly has higher prices than others) and chose to spend our hard earned money here. After hanging up on her (she tended to speak over me and I kept having to interrupt to get a word in), she called back 3 more times and messaged me that all she could offer was medicine. What upsets me the most is that she made this situation about the business instead of a long time customer. We will not be returning because of the poor customer service and malpractice. read more

1.They hard sell you their expensive services while you are in the middle of a service, so you feel like you MUST say YES or else they will not do the on going treatment properly. 2 I felt horrible insecure about my skin, frizz and facial hair as they bully you into accepting a miraculous treatment that will turn you into an instant princess. (The comments are made publicly and loudly. This has happened numerous times and I always managed to tune out their disparaging remarks during threading but couldn't ignore the last time) 3. Threading is fine but hair treatments and facials are over priced like a posh spa. Bottomline: Their concentration is more on sales than making you feel good. NASTY AND RUDE. SKIP THIS PLACE. The first time I went in to get a waxing job (not going to mention where), the girl was young, nice, and professional. The total was $12 so I decided to tip because she did an excellent job and was courteous. Four months later, it's time for me to go back and get the same waxing done. I didn't ask about prices because I ASSUMED that the prices have not changed since then. Not to sound petty, but I asked the lady and go "It's $12 right?" and she goes "Nooooo, prices are never that low. It's $15." Well she already started waxing and I didn't want to argue then and there. She could have really hurt me if I bargained! When it was time to check out, I asked again "Are you sure it isn't $12? I'm pretty sure that was what I was charged last time." The lady goes, "No it's always been $15. You can ask the owner." The owner, who was checking her nasty ass self in the mirror, doesn't even look at me and says "It's $15. Never $12. You went someplace else." -- WOW. I went someplace else huh? How pretentious of you to assume that I have delusions of grandeur you rude woman. Because I'm pretty sure it was here that I went to get waxed. I did NOT tip in the end. Not only that, one of the "hair stylists" was curling the owner's hair (probably because there was NO ONE else in that store and they were all bored with nothing to do) and it looked HORRIBLE. Since when was it okay to have crunchy spirals? Last time I checked, junior prom circa 2004. HIDEOUS! And lastly, what was ironic about the whole situation is that there are signs posted all over the store guarenteeing quality customer service. HA! Owner (ashima) is very very rude. Humaira who was once working with her (dont know if she is anymore) is also terribly rude. She cut my skin while threading, when I showed her..instead of apologizing she had a terrible attitude and screamed across the floor (while i was paying for the service at the front desk)...she yells across the room "you dont have to come here then, why are you even here" ....and also 2 years later-as of today I still have the scar she gave me. I usually would report this horrible customer service to the manager but then I realized the owner is just as rude as this employee. No point there.
