Ashland is the most deceitful and disrespect management company we've ever rented from. Having worked in the rental industry myself, I was completely blown away by the unprofessionalism and lack of communication. After acknowledgement of damages to the wall being a previous tenant upon move in, they charged us upon move out and took our entire deposit to "fix it". During our move out inspection, she again acknowledged the damages from previous residents and assured me i didn't need to worry about. Seriously $2000 for damages that weren't ours. After requesting an itemized list, they have yet to provide me with the receipts for supplies and labor. We are proceeding with legal action and have given them a 10 day demand for such items. These people are the worst, it took them over two months to fix our broken fridge, and then they blamed it on us. When we threatened legal action they finally replaced the fridge but started charging extra fees on our rent. Their whole business model is built on charging people extra fees, trying to squeeze every last penny out of their tenants. This is an absolutely horrible management company. They are incredibly unprofessional. I would never rent a home or property that is managed by them. Our basement flooded in January. It took them over 3 months to fix the issue. During that time they charged full rent even though we couldn't use half of the house. The communication with the property manager was very unprofessional. He wouldn't even meet with us to discuss everything. Just refused to do anything to compensate us for all the problems. My son had to sleep in the living room for over a month. Then when we finally moved out the made up a bunch of fees that were completely ridiculous. Half of the issues were there before we even moved in. Absolutely terrible company and employees. read more

They are literal thieves. They will scam you in all the name a fees very every Penny. Do not rent from them!! We signed a contract and had to get out of it without even moving in. We luckily had a friend who needed to rent so he he got approved and signed a contract before our date of occupancy. AND MOVED IT! We had to pay $350 for some BS cancellation fee and then they took another $200 out of deposit for some more BS fees. $550 and never moved in, neither were there any loss of money or hardship on their end. read more

I also have had a difficult time with communication, they do not always respond to emails or texts and they rarely answer phone calls from my experience. We were trying to get an apartment through Ashland Property Management and I could not get someone to speak with me on the phone. I was trying to get ahold of someone to discuss our application (which was $50 total for my husband and me). I finally got ahold of them after they denied us and everything felt so unprofessional. They charge for every single application, even if you don't get approved the property and then almost refuse to speak to us on the phone during the process. We have to pay to apply, before even seeing the apartment in person. And the customer service isn't great, when I finally got someone on the phone they sounded irritated. Well, I'm irritated too but trying to be cordial on the phone. I thought I had a chance at getting the property and had to blow off $50 for it. read more

This company is taking advantage of people who are at a loss of a home. What they are doing is robbery and they know they can get away with it in this current market. They purposely list homes for MONTHS before availability and charge a high application fee just to simply view the home. So hundreds will apply making them a lot of money. If you are a renter, avoid these guys at all cost. If you are just trying to sell your home, well, they probably will do that for you BUT I would still avoid them simply because in this market, many are offering a higher rent amount than the asking price to secure the spot but these guys don't listen to that. They say they are the premire company for property management but they are indeed not. No one will answer phone calls or texts from tenants and will refuse to fix anything unless it will "cause harm" to anyone in the house. You will never get them to answer your phone calls unless you threaten them with legal action. read more
