Dr.Parvez showed up to my appointment 20 minutes late. Obviously not 100% prepared. Anyway, he listened. At one point he asked about my employer. I told him. He asked specifically for the name of my employer - I told him - and at the same time I asked, "I'm sorry, how is that relevant?". Because I was curious. He said, "everything I ask is relevant, I'm telling you now so you don't ask me again." In a VERY, very rude manner. So, you have curious patients and you're going to be rude and talk down to them? I didn't question the relevance as a precursor to me answering the question. I was, indeed, cooperating with his questioning but I was also curious. Anyway, I ended the session early. Thanks, Dr. Parvez for adding to my anxiety instead of helping it. If you're a person that values your provider speaking to you like you're a human being and not like you're someone that needs to be talked down to because you have questions, find someone else. I felt so fortunate being able to find someone as helpful as he was. I always felt comfortable talking to him and never felt unsure or intimidated. His office staff, they were also kind and caring. I am very sad to say that he is retiring the practice at the end of September. They…read moreswitched to a new system for their business (I guess as they did not communicate that out) and used that as the excuse for taking over a week to fill a monthly prescription. I never got a call, text, email, carrier pigeon, etc. from them, even after repeated messages reaching out to them via their online portal and calling, yes actually talking to them over the phone. I was treated as if I was a jerk and the crazy unreasonable person when I explained that while I have been overly understanding and sympathetic to a new system, it should NEVER take over a week to get a refill called in on ONE medication you take daily and have gotten from them for well over 5 years. If the system is not working (trust me I am a systems admin. so I get it there are always hiccups and unexpected surprises) you still have a business to operate and responsibilities to patients as you are dealing with their health. The right thing would have been to, God forbid, have the doctor call it in with a phone the old fashion way. I am not a doctor but have seen them call in refills before for controlled substances and it does not take much time at all. Regardless, who knows maybe you are reading this and thinking that I am the crazy one, but having 2 different associates 2 different phone calls on 2 different days both tell you that it is on his list to get done only for you to call days later and have a new associate tell you that there is no list and makes you start the process over, is ridiculous in my opinion. I have been going for years like I said and after this experience I am thinking it might be time for a change. And keep in mind nothing would have ever been done if I was not the "crazy" one and keep calling. They had no concern whatsoever about me or my health, they were only concerned with blaming a new system. Sometimes the simple solution is the best, taking a pen to paper would have solved this in 5 min, not 9 days. Sad and very disappointing to me after years of built-up trust. She contributed to my earlier health issues and my weight gain. My prolactin levels now are beyond messed up because she gave me a shot that didn't help that I didn't need. I want to warn people what happened here was almost malpractice. I'd never recommend it ever.
