Dec. 02,…read more2022 I called Comalander and asked if they sell Nationwide's fixed annuity and they said yes, they lied. Dec. 28, 2022 Comalander told me how much interest I would be paid monthly and I agreed, Comalander asked me to sign a capture pad to create my electronic signature so they could fill out an application on their computer online that included my personal and beneficiary information then without sending, showing, giving or reading to me what turned out to be a 27page application that contains contractual agreements Comalander fraudulently put my electronic signature on the application and sent it to Nationwide. Comalander then told me I would be paid three different lesser amounts of interest all of which turned out to be wrong which meant I would lose thousands of dollars for 7 years. I then made three unsuccessful attempts to find out directly from Nationwide why I was not being paid the amount I was told on Dec. 28, 2022. Dec. 26, 2023 I canceled the policy and instead of Nationwide and Comalander taking responsibility for their actions they charged me a huge penalty for canceling the policy. Nationwide's Financial Complaint Coordinator became involved and wrote in his Feb. 01, 2024 email why I was not being paid the amount I was told on Dec. 28, 2022 which Comalander knew nothing about and in that same email Nationwide sent me 6 pages of scheduled withdrawal forms that contains contractual information that Comalander also fraudulently put my electronic signature on. The emails I sent and received are in my Gmail account and can be accessed with my phone to prove the printed versions I sent Nationwide are true and correct. The most revealing email is on Jan. 23, 2023 when Comalander admitted to not being an expert in annuities and they did not know why I was not being paid the amount they told me on Dec. 28, 2022. I tried to end this matter by offering to go to a local representative Nationwide trusted and show the emails in my Gmail account match the printed versions I sent them proving they are true and correct and Nationwide did not accept my offer. Far more than that happened, such as, Nationwide wrote they do not mail the application and policy/contract certified return receipt that only has a ten day free look period and involves a person's life savings because the South Carolina Department of Insurance does not require them to, I found the over 80 page mailing containing all of my personal and financial information on the side of the road, on the ground, leaned up against my mailbox post which someone could have stolen my identity, money and possessions. Nationwide and Comalander did not disclose pertinent information about the policy and lied to me about many subjects. I am now having to continue to spend thousands of dollars of my time and money to file a lawsuit against them. Nationwide and Comalander has made it clear they will tell verbal unsubstantiated lies in court, I will provide the court with documented evidence of the truth. At this point I have to write, the accusations are alleged. I will update this matter after the hearing.
