No its zero stars! My wife and i purchased a 1400 leather loveseat couch from Ashley furniture in Burbank CA, in August of 2014, last summer. We purchased an expensive ($180) "protection warranty" from Ashley to cover Specifically Cat Urine. We were told, since we are pet owners, that cat urine stains or odors would be %100 covered by Ashley's warranty. Lo and behold, Ashley is not in any way connected to the protection warranty! Ha! Imagine that. A humongous, multi-million dollar corporation, having a protection warranty plan through a 3rd party carrier, GUARDSMAN. Guardsman has an archaic and utterly backwards claims policy, and promises to "inspect, clean and repair/replace/refund your damaged furniture." WRONG!! They only exist as a loophole for Ashley to push this bogus coverage on their naive customers. As we might have expected, although never planned, while we were away on a trip last week a storm in LA blew the cat bathroom door shut (our fault) and our cat was trapped outside their litter box. Hence they peed on the leather loveseat couch. Immediately after learning of this accident, my friend who was watching our cats for the week informed me that it needed to be cleaned immediately. According to Guardsman's policy, it is necessary to blot the stain with water before having a Guardsman "Technician, haha" come and service the furniture. well, GUESS WHAT?!?! we call Ashley furniture to hear from a number of very enthusiastic and positive Ashley staff members that "CAT URINE IS 100 PERCENT COVERED, JUST REPORT THE CLAIM TO GUARDSMAN, AND THEY WILL SEND SOMEONE IMMEDIATELY". Let me just clue a few folks reading that don't own cats, regarding CAT URINE STAINS. If they're not cleaned immediately, they will RUIN A COUCH, BED/MATTRESS, CARPET, etc. My wife and I and our neighbor who was watching our cats are not stupid. We realized the urgency of this accident, and did our due diligence, reporting the accident to Ashley Furniture on Jan 6, Wednesday. Lo and behold, GUARDSMAN's ENTIRE PHONE SYSTEM WAS DOWN ON WEDNESDAY. What are the odds!!!!!! We wait an entire 24 hour period to hear from them, (of course, no one calls me, of course not) and i get a lovely agent on the phone from Guardsman, who files a "warranty claim" for me over the phone. But guess what!?! They can't do anything for me, because a Technician needs to come out an "Inspect the furniture". Yo, there is NOTHING to inspect! The couch is ruined. Cat pee will DESTROY A LEATHER LOVESEAT THAT HAS SEATS THAT DO NOT COME OUT. We knew this. It was so obvious. Yet Guardsman, in their incredible disregard for their customers time, money and energy, tell me that their unbelievably archaic claims process involves not just a phone claim, but an email form, that creates a PDF that , get this, in the year 2016, is required to be SNAIL MAILED TO GUARDSMAN TO COMPLETE THE CLAIM. Blah blah blah blah blah blah, because guess WHAT!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?! We return on Monday night at 4am in the morning in Los Angeles to find out from our neighbor that he HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY GUARDSMAN WHATSOEVER. He was watching our cats, and was around all week to let the Guardsman technician in. So we wait until it turns 8:30 AM to call the Guardsman 1-800 number that was given to me "Just incase a technician doesn't call us". Well guess what, you scam artists!!! IF YOU LET A CAT URINE STAIN SIT ON A COUCH AND DON'T COME INTERVENE, THE COUCH IS RUINED AND OUR APARTMENT WILL SMELL LIKE CAT PISS!!! They could care less. They answer the phone, one guy, who simply could be replaced by a computer program. He basically gave me an automated response: "Your case was forwarded to our guardsman technician, and he will come service your furniture SOMETIME IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS!??!?!!?!?!?" We made the claim on Wednesday, and since the phones were down, We were told its not our fault. We made the claim thursday and leaving the couch in our apartment to fester all week, come home to find out that GUESS WHAT!? The soonest this bogus technician can come out will be WEDNESDAY THE FOLLOWING WEEK!!!!! At that point i lost it. I spent several hours (not exaggerating) being bounced back from Ashley furniture who sounds so completely understanding and sympathetic to our problem, yet Can't Do Anything About It! Guess what multi-million dollar corporation ASHLEY, you guys are SELLING BOGUS WARRANTY COVERAGE ON YOUR FURNITURE AND YOU KNOWWWWWW ITTTTTTTTTT! Guardsman told me that if we want our couch to be inspected and "Cleaned" (hahahahah you cant clean a cat piss stained couch after waiting two weeks) We need to LEAVE IT IN OUR HOUSE UNTIL NEXT WEEK WHEN THEIR BRILLIANT TECHNICIAN WILL (MAYBE) COME TO OUR HOUSE TO "CLEAN IT".) This is a continuation of my whole Telenovela going on with this store at Burbank....my Purchase on thursday the 18th till Monday the 22nd .....well I was so into this Bed that I really like for my daughter and they couldn't be able to disable when I purchase it and they want me to come back next Day after spending all afternoon at the store. Seems to them not enough time wasting at the store on top of that with my girl and with no flexibility of truck to do the Delivery...i dont have a truck to Do purchase of furniture and be able to take it with me at that moment!!! If only zero stars was a thing. TLDR: Unacceptable business practices, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST SHOPING WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE TO EVERYONE that reads this. Or else be prepared to experience such terrible customer service as we have. -On 9/2/24, we purchased a bed set for our guest room from Ashley Furniture West Covina, as we were expecting family traveling from overseas at the end of Oct. We informed the store of this and requested furniture that they had in stock at the time, knowing our family was coming soon. We were initially scheduled for a delivery on 10/5/24. Over a month later was doable since we shopped around early enough...so we thought. -On 10/5/24, we were home waiting the entire day for the bed set. No one ever showed nor called; there weren't any communications whatsoever. Basic customer service suggests at the very least a call the day of providing some type of courtesy notice that the shipment was delayed. -On 10/7/24, WE called the customer service ourselves and only then were we informed that our bedset was on back-order and that it wouldn't be delivered until NOVEMBER, more than 2 months after making the initial purchase! At this time, we went ahead and requested for our order to be cancelled altogether so that we could still use the money elsewhere to ensure we had our spare bedroom setup for our family by the end of Oct. We were told the refund would be processed within 72 hours from this call. Unfortunately, we never received an email or text confirming this request (our 1st mistake by not obtaining a confirmation before ending the call). -About a week goes by when we had yet to receive our refund nor any other communication about it. Then, we received a call from Ashley Furniture telling us that they somehow "found the item in another warehouse" and PROMISED the order could still be fulfilled and delivered on 10/19/24 (believing this was our 2nd mistake). So, given that our refund had yet to be procssed (within 72 hours as they suggested) and that we still needed furniture ASAP, we reluctantly agreed to accept the delivery on the firm condition that we would be guaranteed our order on the date promised. The customer service rep promised it would be delivered so we went with it. -Now, on the day of posting this (10/14/24), we AGAIN received a call from Ashley Furniture informing us AGAIN that our item was backordered until Nov 9th AGAIN! -They completely led us on believing the furniture would be delivered for a 3rd time, DISRESPECTFULLY WASTING OUR TIME when we could have been continuing to shop for our furniture elsewhere while still meeting our initial goal of having our furniture by the end of October. -If our refund was simply processed in the 72 hours they stated, we would have never gone forward with the 2nd and 3rd attempts. We would have already been shopping elsewhere and would still be able to meet our goal of having furntiure by the end of October. Instead, they continued leading us on, keeping OUR money in THEIR hands, making promises they knew weren't possible. -Now, we will have to rent hotel rooms for our family when they arrive at the end of October, as there is no way shop for and still receive at least somewhat decent new furniture by then, especially if when you have stores like Ashley that make you wait over 2 months for a product claimed to be in stock at the time of purchasing. -And finally, after the entire frustrating experience, Ashley REFUSED to offer us any compensation whatsoever, for their own wrongdoing. -This is absolutely unacceptable business practices, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST SHOPING WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE TO EVERYONE that reads this. My purchase experience was fine, but the delivery turned into a problem. I ordered a tv stand and an area rug. I did not tip the delivery drivers because they were obviously in hurry. They did put my tv stand in place, but didn't put the drawers in, and dumped the area rug, which was wrapped in plastic, on the floor. Wow, I ordered from Living Spaces and the guys took their time, placed and assembled the furniture and made sure all was to my satisfaction before they left. Not for Ashley....they were in hurry and wanted me to hurry up and sign so they could get out of there. I did a quick inspection of the TV stand, and since the area rug was all wrapped in plastic I took at look at the end part to make sure it looked like the rug I ordered. Which it was. After they left, I took the plastic off the area rug, and there were big wet spots in several places! Okay in hindsight a little bit of my fault for not doing that before they left. But who would expect a rug to be wet inside the plastic! I immediately called the delivery people back and got voice mail. Called Ashley customer service and they were closed. So I called the Burbank store where I made the purchase. My original delivery window was between 12:00 and 4:00. They did show up at 12:15. My request was for them to come back and pick up the damaged run and bring me a replacement same day. After I explained my dilemma I could tell the person I was speaking to was not going to try and accommodate me at all. So I asked to speak to a manager. I was told twice the manager "was too busy" to speak to me. The lackey that was helping me told me there was no way they could come and pick up the damaged rug today, nor could they get me a replacement. When I ordered from Living Spaces, twice, they had everything delivered to me in a week! A week! This order took the better part of 4 weeks. Now they're telling me I have to wait again and hold onto this damaged rug for what...another 4 weeks? I've worked in customer service for a long time. When something like this happens, #1 there should be a manager available to help, #2 there should be people bending over backwards to rectify the situation at the customer's request. Instead a got a lackey that was not going to do much of anything except make me wait again with a wet carpet in my livingroom. So not acceptable to me. So I will never shop at Ashley furniture again. And I will spread the word as far and as wide as I can about my experience! Go the Living Spaces. They have better selection, better customer services and the prices are equivalent if not better. This place has yet again earned their one star. In all fairness, they have a nice inventory of furniture and they are close to our house, but they continually leave us dissatisfied with the way they handle customers. We had a delivery issue with them once before but I suppose we assumed it was an isolated incident. But NO it happened again because our salesman failed to take down our CORRECT phone number. This was a really bad thing because they will not knock on your door for the delivery. Heck, they won't even show up IF YOU DON'T ANSWER YOUR PHONE. So we called the morning of our delivery just to try to confirm the day and time and no one came to the phone. We weren't worried at that point since it was just moments after the store opened and deliveries typically come at 11am. We waited and waited for a bit and at this point we tried calling again, and still no answer. I called a total of 10-12 times before I finally got an answer and by 1:00 it was CONFIRMED that we had missed our delivery. (7-10 days is what I was told) DO NOT MISS YOUR DELIVERY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT SEND DRIVERS BACK TO YOU ON THE SAME DAY. THEY WONT SEND THEM NEXT DAY, EITHER! YOU ARE LIKELY TO WAIT AN ADDITIONAL WEEK FOR YOUR FURNITURE. This is where we came across another issue. Its summertime and we have family in town from Texas tomorrow and we can't inconvenience our guests by moving furniture around the house. So we called our salesman to see if there was anything we could arrange to ensure we get our furniture before Friday. At this point we figured our best bet was to go pick it up ourselves. It didn't seem too bad, since after all, we asked our salesman if would be assembled and he said it would be. It seemed simple. We rented a pickup truck, scheduled an appointment and drove to their warehouse IN COLTON, which was over an hour drive. Once we got there we were happy but then discovered that the furniture was not assembled as promised. We complained and a nice gentleman had his assembly crew assemble the furniture for us and load it onto our truck. So we spent most of our day in Colton picking up, assembling lifting and setting up our new furniture on our own. This is a service we paid to have done for us and WE STILL HAVE YET TO RECEIVE OUR REFUND FOR US HAVING TO DO IT OURSELVES. Very inconvenient and very unfair company. Never again will we purchase furniture from here. I would like to hear from corporate to discuss why we continue have such dilemmas with the Burbank store. read more

Review for Ashley Furniture I initially had a great experience purchasing from Ashley, and I even left a positive review praising TJ for his excellent service. However, my recent experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel compelled to share it. When I placed my order, I spent nearly $15,000 on furniture. The receipt and email confirmation clearly stated that my delivery was scheduled for March 20. But today, some of the items were delivered unexpectedly and without notice to my new home--where I haven't even moved in yet! My neighbor had to call me, which forced me to interrupt my work and deal with this situation. When I contacted Ashley, they told me that some items, such as lamps, wall art, and other accessories, are shipped via UPS by third-party vendors. Why wasn't this disclosed to me at the time of purchase? If UPS was going to handle part of my order, why wasn't I informed beforehand, especially since I'm not yet living at the new address? To make matters worse, one of the delivered packages arrived damaged. Again, there was no prior notification, no tracking details, and no coordination on delivery timing. This is completely unacceptable. Today, I went back to the store to address my concerns. Unlike my first visit, when TJ and another male manager provided excellent service, my interaction today was disappointing. I spoke with a female manager who was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. At one point, I was speaking with an Armenian-speaking associate, and this manager interrupted, accusing me of raising my voice--when in reality, anyone in my situation would have been frustrated! At this point, I'm seriously considering canceling my entire order. I expected far better service after spending $15,000 at Ashley. If I don't receive a satisfactory resolution, I will not hesitate to take my business elsewhere.
