Comparison shopping (again) as we had a few years ago, but this time, the "atmosphere" was much more welcoming. [Thank you, George.] Selection on display was fairly extensive, prices about average...but as with so many things under current conditions, much is on "back order" or delayed in shipping or delivery. Each staff member that we spoke to was lovely, helpful, and knowledgeable. Went in for the 4th of July weekend sale and left with an entire living room set thanks to Freddie. Never felt pressured at any point and felt comfortable to browse the store at our leisure. And shoutout to Brent at the back dock who made our lives so much easier with the pickup of all 9 items. Minus one star since we were not explicitly told we were applying for a new credit card in-store. Despite that, it's not a huge deal, and we would still come back for other furniture needs down the line. read more

I really think the staff that work here are more worried about making their quota's / commission rather than actually caring for a customers satisfaction/ needs. we purchased a couch only for the sales lady to not mention when the couch would be delivered till after the payment of almost 2k went through & I understand mistakes happen but that was a mistake that costed us 2k that we ended having to delay even more time that we didn't have to proceed with buying a new couch elsewhere and the man that helped us with the refund wasn't very friendly and seemed very frustrated to help us when there were 2 other customers in the store and 5 employees?? Went into the Ashley HomeStore on Eglin Pkwy July 24, 2024. Picked out a couch and paid cash/debit card. Was told the delivery would be ASAP. Never told it would take 1-4 weeks. After two weeks and never hearing anything from Ashley I called Customer Service. Was told our policy is 1-4 weeks and you are only at two weeks; you can go into the store and get a refund. Asked if Ashley wanted my business. I decided to wait. Called back the next week, told the same thing though this time I asked for a manager. Was told the same thing by this manager, blah, blah, blah. So today, after waiting over 4 weeks, and not hearing any update, I went into the store and asked for a refund. Was never asked why, or is there anything we can do, yadayada. They seriously acted like they didn't care about my business. I paid a lot of money for furniture and when it arrived, the feet were missing from one of the items. Apparently, this is quite common with them. What bothers me is there was no apology for the inconvenience or any offer to compensate me (to make it right like many other companies do). Absolutely terrible service. I have been told every week something different about my delivery date. Every time I talk to someone about when it's being delivered, the date gets pushed back an additional week. I was told on Monday, 1/22, that the couch would be in and delivered by the end of this week. I spoke with Samantha in delivery today, 1/24, and now the couch is not coming in until the end of next week. This will make it over 4 weeks since we ordered the couch and originally I was told 2 weeks. After two weeks I was told 3 weeks, and now 4weeks. The only thing offered to me was a call when the couch finally comes in... as if I was not already going to receive that already. At this point I'm not even positive I will be getting my couch. All in all, I'm not impressed with this service whatsoever and the staff has been unhelpful to say the least. read more

This place is a joke. Bought a dresser and set it up for delivery, it came in damaged. Said it would be another 10 days before one was available for redelivery. They attempted delivery with no contact on a day my wife and I were both at work. Delivery team was rude on the phone. I called and spoke to the manager and she promised me 1st delivery on a day i could be available. And low and behold @ noon i called the store to see where my delivery is and it was more BS excuses. What happened to professionalism? What happened to companies actually doing the service you paid them to provide. Shop elsewhere. read more

Jamie the salesperson was a delight. deliver people were very nice. furniture repair gentleman- Tim is top notch. sounds like 5 stars right? wrong- received sofa and chair. they appeared to be in great condition. looks are deceiving. half fastened internal staples scraping my great grandaughers arm from the inside arm of chair left me less than happy . the first time the sofa bed was pulled out and used- it was less than comfortable. the mattress is really not adequate and needs to be thicker. the thicket mattress was discontinued or we would have upgraded- who knew?? the first night of use- my son in law ended up with his head on the floor when the bed broke. Tim said it was a manufacturers defect- poor workmanship. when investigating the broken infrastructure we pulled the mattress off and found the back of the mattress wet. who knows how long it was wet but the webbing it sits on is stained. when calling customer service to get things fixed or sent back we were told we had the furniture too long to send back- unfortunately I had not had company to use the furniture in the 5 weeks it was there. they ordered a part and a new mattress but said we would have to pick up the mattress from the warehouse in Alabama- we are in Florida. After talking to Tim- furniture repair person, he stated he would deliver the mattress when it came in. we are awaiting delivery, bottom line- people great. furniture not impressed and will not be buying anymore furniture from Ashley. read more

Second time we have had bad service from this store. Not sure why we have them another try. Ordered furniture and a tall dresser came in damaged like they tried to fix it with wood putty and re paint it. They ordered another one so we had to wait again and that one too came in damaged. The magnetic things don't hold the door closed. They delivered it and wrote about he damage and no one contacted us to repair it. My husband called about a week and half ago and they said someone would contact us on a Friday or Monday and here we are about a week later and we still haven't heard from anyone. I feel like once they get your money they don't care if it's damaged or not and will not try to fix it once they already have your money. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this Ashley Home Store location. I was shopping for a new dining room table set and was told multiple times while shopping that the table and chairs were included in the set. Once I went to pick up the table, they informed me that my table was over 800$ and did not include chairs. The chairs would be another 200$. I decided to have them hold the table while I thought about it, and they repeatedly called and tried to rush my decision in ordering the chairs. The staff is extremely uninformed and do not know the product that they are selling. I needed another chest of drawers cause 1 chest of drawers and 1 dresser drawer was not enough. I called ahead to make sure they had what I was looking for. They did. A sales man told me his name and to ask for him when I came in. Its a beautiful store in the sketchiest shopping plaza. My only qualm is that .. well I have 2... First they dont keep anything in stock. Its going to take 2 weeks to get the item. BAH! And they won't sell you the floor model, no matter how much you beg. Second while I was waiting I had to move my seat 3 times as the ceiling is leaking. No bueno on a rainy day. FIX THIS! Helpful, concise sales people. Bought a couch, love seat and new bed today. We stopped by yesterday but our son was a little cranky so we decided to think things over and come back. George was very friendly and knowledgeable about other stores in the area. He even gave us recommendations of stores for the rest of our needs while awaiting our shipment of household items. Great savings during their 20 percent off if you pay cash for 4th of July. Will buy from this store again. The only downfall is it will take about two weeks for the items to be delivered. The second time, I was told good morning and that was the extent of the store employees' interaction with me. I had to seek out employees to ask questions about the pieces I was considering. Horrible experience.. manager kris is unprofessional .. don't return calls.. besides that make my wife pay for delivery,when she didn't know that she had the option to get it herself.. took advantage of a wife that wanted to surprise her husband.. they mess up the order/ brought the wrong dinning set, and on top of that my two night stand didn't arrive. Couple days pass and the table came in with only two chairs, and the two night stand also came in but one of the night stand didn't had the hole for the screws, the delivery driver call to make sure they send a technician to fix it they told me they was going to call between 24-48 hours, when I received the call he inform us that is going to take 6 days before he can fix. I'm still missing two dinning table chairs. We pay everything cash, and when we explain the situation the only thing they said was that they going to send us a 100$ gift card, that all we getting after all this poor customer services. Update on this. Called yesterday and was told furniture was delivered to store. Supposedly the couch was damaged and they sent it back. They said that they had the loveseat and the recliner there but would have to wait for the couch to come in again. I explained that I had giveny furniture away figuring that it would be here on the latest date I was given so I asked if they couldn't send the couch they have on display since I have waited so long. She was going to check with manager and call me back. Haven't heard back since yesterday. I don't understand why they can't deliver at least the loveseat and recliner. The store smells horrible, floors are torn up, dirty equipment is blocking furniture displays, there was no type of organization to furniture placement. I would leave a zero but not an option. This place is a joke. The most unprofessional and blatantly dishonest group. The delivery I was supposed to get between 10-2 had still not arrived by 7p. I spoke to Lisa the del manager several times and was told "it's on the truck" with drivers in traffic twice. After speaking with the driver (who said he's just had a long day and is supposed to be off) I find out it was never on the truck at all. Either Juan lied or Lisa did. My husband and I bought a sectional from the Ashley Furniture homestore located in Fort Walton Beach on Nov 2017. Recently, we noticed that a piece of wood from the frame was poking through the back our sectional. We called the store and they promptly dispatched a furniture technician to assess the problem. He was able to fix the problem onsite and our sectional looks good as new!! I purchased a bedroom set on 11 Oct 16. At the time of purchase I was told that the items were available after they checked the database, and I simply needed to wait for them to be delivered to the local warehouse at which time I would receive a call to schedule delivery. I was told to call 2 days following the purchase to verify the items were enroute to to the warehouse. I was also told that it would be typically 7-10 days from date of purchase. No issue here. Two days later (13 Oct 16) I contacted the store and was told the items were enroute. Again, no issue here. 19 Oct 16, I had not heard from the store. I contacted them and were told that the items were again "enroute" to the warehouse and it would be a "very short time". When I asked if he would be more specific, I was told, "pretty quickly." I then stated that he was being very vague and I requested a specific date of arrival to the warehouse. I asked, "one day? two days?" Again, he said, "about then." At this point, I was very frustrated, but I went ahead and waited two more days. Today I contacted the store and was put on hold for 5+ minutes, at which point I was hung up on. I called again, and was told... get this... "the items are enroute." I asked to speak with a manager and was told I would be called back. I stated I would be cancelling the order if a) I was not called back within 30 mins. b) the items could not be arranged to be delivered today. The manager calls back and defends the timeline of the store, at which time I told him that I was not bothered by the timeline, but I was bothered by the multiple different stories. I like the furniture in the store, but I do not like the lazy and shady tactics used on customers "after the purchase". Customer service and sales reps should not be allowed to operate in such a way as to "brush off" the customer once the store feels "I got my sale... nothing they are gonna do about it." read more

This was one of worst experiences I have ever had with customer service. I know people only normally write reviews when things go bad so I try to write reviews on rare occasions for good and bad service. We ordered some end tables and cocktail tables from Ashley. We decided to pick up the furniture to avoid the delivery charge of over $100.00. When we got home I assembled the first piece with no problems. The 2nd piece had several scratches. The third piece was the worst, a chunk out of the corner. scratches, and glue running down the side. We called and staff said they would send someone out to attempt to repair the items. I told the person that I did not want someone to come out and simple cover the marks. She scheduled a pick up of the furniture and stated she would call when the new furniture arrived. I marked the bottom of the furniture with a small x to see if they would simple try to return the same items. Several weeks later the items were delivered. You quest right same furniture delivered with attempts to cover scratches, wood putty, and glue not even fixed. The delivery person said he did not have room for the furniture to take it back. The manager came by with a truck two hours later and tried to smooth things over by explaining new staff took the wrong furniture by mistake. He wanted to know if I still wanted the furniture and he would give me a small discount. I told him no and was refunded my purchase. This is such deceiving business practices at this store. read more
