I always go here to compare the NEX/PX, nothing compares to AAFES but when you buy sets its a deal here in Hawaii. It is also more updated than the NEX. A good thing is the sales people dont follow you around and hound you to buy. read more

I will NEVER buy furniture from Ashley's! I've only had my furniture for exactly 3 years; no kids, low usage and the zippers are broken, the sofa connectors don't work and the cushions are horrendous! The customer service is mediocre at best. I wish I could put zero stars! read more

So my husband and I went in to look for a couch and dresser and we walked out with a steal of a deal they were having a 1599 sale for 14 piece sets on select items. So we found a couch and love seat that we loved didn't have enough room for both in our cottage we asked if we could have the recliner that matched instead our sales lady LoAnn was awesome and said we could. So then we got 2 end tables and a coffee table, rug,throw blanket,2 lamps, and a 5 piece accessories items. And while we were looking we found the perfect dresser with mirror and matching chest with drawers all on clearance. LoAnn worked with us from start to finish answered questions and wasn't pushy or annoying she was great. We picked up most all our stuff only 2 things weren't in stock which they will ship to us. What started off as a great experience turned into a disaster!' We went into check out new bedroom sets for our new home. We found two complete bedroom sets along with a kitchen dining table. As we completed The paper work the sales associate Amy, informed us that one of the bed sets were on back order. I asked her what happens with that because we want it to be delivered one time with the $100 fee, she said don't worry all the items that are currently in stock will be placed on hold and NO ONE can purchase them. So thinking that everything will be good go when she called tell us our Back order delivery has arrived we Set the delivery date. And when they arrived they only had brought our Dining table and the wrong bed-set.. So the delivery guys had To go figure out where our correct bedset is as Our other bedroom set was missing. After playing phone tag with Amy she finally said she sold our other bed set and would have to wait another few weeks before it would come in. When it finally arrived they forgot to order our dresser mirror, And the rails to put them on.. It was a nightmare. I was ready to just cancel the whole thing but just thought it would just make things more Complicated. read more

After a long day of searching, we were done. We tried one last store, Ashley Furniture. We walked in 30 mins before closing. Most employees would roll their eyes, sigh in anger and annoyance, but not Bert. He greeted us with a genuine smile, offered his help, and then backed away so we could look without being hassled. When we were ready with questions, he was there with answers. The couch we decided on wasn't in stock, so Bert helped get it ordered and set up for delivery. He was great from start to finish. Would like to commend Sales Manager Bertrand Quinsaat for the excellent customer service I was provided. It is not everyday someone takes pride in their work or ability. I was very happy with his attention to detail, quality customer service, and knowledge of the product. He gave me options. I have been shopping around and I do not mind paying for quality as long as the service provided is just as superior. I thank him for his time and appreciate the service. I am happy with the Porter Sleigh Bedroom set I bought for my master bedroom. Quality, cedar wood, rich dark wood finish. Dresser, nite stand, bed set, media center, floor lamp. The service is what sealed the deal and I got a discount for the 4th of July Sale. FINAL DELIVERY: Called 2 days prior to confirm day and time of delivery. Driver arrived within time frame and called before arrival. Items came assembled and wrapped in moving blankets. Only bed frame was assembled at my home. Quentin and Shawn V were both on point, professional, and friendly. Paid attention to detail. Was in and out in no time. I appreciate their time and service. The set I bought was heavy and bulky and my stairs did not help. I was their last stop. They still remained professional to the end. It was a Friday and a long work day for all of us. Lol. Added Update: This review would have been 0 stars if it wasn't for the floor representative who took us around to look at the furniture. He did a great job. The warehouse and receiving was absolutely terrible. They call me up telling me my furniture is ready for pick up. I take time off of work to get there during their business hours, after waiting in the parking lot with my truck for over an hour, I'm told its not available and its sitting in a container right there on the lot waiting to be unloaded. They could have told me that an hour ago. So why would they call and say it's available and to come down and pick it up? I have no clue. They proceed to tell me sorry about the inconvenience we will deliver it to you for free whenever you are available. Great news no hard feelings. Days go by no phone call. Finally at the end of the week I call wondering why they haven't called me. They say I've been scheduled for later in the month. Ummm...since when? There was no phone call to see if I was available on that day. Plus, wasn't it suppose to be at my convenience now. So when I ask to reschedule the time to my convenience which was anytime after 4:30. They tell me in other words that's not convenient for them. Oh sorry, my bad. Good thing is we as costumers speak with our wallets, and that will be the last time I purchase from CS Wo who is the parent company of Ashley and Home World. Take care of your costumers and they will take care of you. They fail to do so. Update: I received a phone call after my yelp review. They have been very apologetic and the store manager is personally seeing the delivery is completed on time tomorrow. I am extremely impressed by the customer service exhibited by Ashley. First of all I want to thank our sales Rep Frank Blas!! He was very attentive to our needs and helpful!! Talk about red carpet service. Anytime we had a question he has the answer or he would make it a point to find out the answer. He also called to update us on status, order and was prompt in doing so. It's hard to find someone who meets your needs and so willing to help with a great attitude!! My husband and I are so grateful. Secondly, Chelsea helped us with some issues that arose with their insurance carrier and a technician they sent out. She was very empathetic to our concerns and feelings. She in fact went above and beyond to take care of us!! She handled the problem and called us back right away!! When we met her in person, she was even more courteous. She took the time to talk to us and get to know us better!! Thank you so much. If I didn't know any better I would have thought that Chelsea was a manager in how she handled our situation. Ashley in Salt Lake does a really good job overall in my opinion. We have always had a great experience with the sales rep and the scheduling of our furniture delivery. I guess that's why my wife keeps buying from them. We have always had an excellent experience with their delivery team. It doesn't hurt that we live pretty close to their store so either we are the first or last of the run. I do think that if they upgrade their computer software they could complete the sales transaction faster. It does take them a while to process your sale and complete your transaction. Overall 4 good delivery experiences thus far. read more

I called them to inquire about several pieces of furniture but they did not have in stock, but they offered online. This purchase ended up being over $5,600. I initially called and asked to speak with a sales person that was helping us the day prior who was off. The person on the phone said they would get back to me, that they would look into my inquiry. When I called back the next day after no follow up, I was put on hold and nobody picked up. I called back, it was quickly told they were working on it and someone would get back to me. It is a few weeks later and still haven't heard from anyone . We've been in this stores multiple times and I refuse to believe they were too busy to help me, they just didn't want to deal with a complex order. Do yourself a favor and go to the Honolulu location on Ward Avenue. They took care of my transaction within 20 minutes over the phone. read more

My husband and I went into the store to brainstorm some ideas for our dining and living room space without the intentions of purchasing anything but they had everything that I envisioned at excellent and reasonable prices that I refuse to pass up on. Just wanted to post an update after receiving some of our things. We got the usual, call before, with a window for when the delivery people would be here. The day of delivery we get another call from the delivery truck asking how to get to our house from the gate they will be coming in, they said that they were at the gate and on their way, the gate is less than 2 mins from our front door. We waited over an hour after this time (45 mins past the max window of delivery) and my husband calls back asking what is going on, they tell him "we are waiting on a second truck to meet us so we can get in together." Why not tell us that from the beginning? They finally arrive and they only have 1 truck, so we were confused as to why they took so long. They bring our stuff in and we were told that our dining table was in as well which was a pleasant surprise because we were told it was on back order. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience it was just frustrating as my husband took off work to be here for the delivery and they were late. Also, in store, we were told that our sectional would have connecting hardware so we thought that it would be put on after delivery but the delivery guys said that no it doesn't, we don't want to mangle the furniture trying to find something to serve the purpose so we had to buy a rug to try to keep the pieces of our sectional from sliding all over the place when we sit down. It cannot be laid on at all without the pieces sliding apart. It came with bags of hardware but we don't know what it's for, it was never touched at delivery and there are no instructions with it. At the time of our shopping, we put in an order for a bed, special order. We were told 4-6 weeks before it arrived which was totally fine with us. We are called a few days later and told that we needed to put 50% down on the bed to even put the order in which we didn't know about when we placed the order so we grab the credit card for the unexpected expense, and are told that upon arrival we will have it credited back and put back onto our financing. We get a letter thanking us for our understanding and telling us that "so and so manager person" has graciously told us that we don't have to go back to sign the financing papers again (it was their mistake so I wouldn't have been happy if we had to go back for that!) and everything was fine. I get a call last week that our bed is in (quicker than expected but I was thrilled) so we set up delivery. It is 2 days before delivery and we get a call to give us our window for delivery. Shortly after I get another call from our sales associate saying that in reality, the bed is not in (or at least only some pieces are in but not all of it). It is really frustrating that no one checked prior to this, I realize that mistakes happen but this seems like another one to add to the list. One of these problems, lateness, an unconnected sectional, money down, or premature delivery set up, would be fine, two I wouldn't have(and didn't) even posted this update, but all 4 and I'm a bit annoyed. Would I go to Ashley again? Probably, but I would be asking a lot more questions, I would have definitely tried to negotiate more because for buying as much as we did (bed, sectional, coffee table, dining table) I think there should have been some kind of discount or at least no delivery fee. $100 delivery fee is a little much, plus we had to pay an extra $30 set up fee for when our bed comes in so they will assemble it. I just hope our bed is in soon and our down payment is credited back without issue. read more

Lots of sales people on the floor, but no one approached me until after I approached someone one after being there for about an hour. There must've been at least 10 sales people, and I think they all assumed someone else was helping me. I noticed they were either sitting or looking on the computer, with not much customers in the store. None of them even greeted or said a simple "hello" which made me feel uncomfortable being in the store. In the end I really liked a couch so I asked one sales guy and he was super nice and apologized because he thought someone was already helping me. From this point I would give it a 5-star but working in retail, I believe greeting customers is important. read more

Such an awful experience! I spent over six thousand dollars on furnishings for my new apartment and wold have at least expected all the parts for the pieces. I purchased in total a sectional sofa, coffee table, entertainment center, bedroom dress, two night stands and a huge king size pin tucked bed. When I picked up the coffee table I was given only the top no legs. Had to return for the legs. Same thing for the bedroom dresser legs were not in drawer like I was told. Received the incorrect size bed frame. I asked for an Eastern King and got a CA king. I set up the whole bed and when putting my mattress on bed realized it was the wrong size. I called and asked what happened. They explained I would have to return it and get the correct size after it was their mistake. I asked if I had to return the whole thing not just the rails because I read on the headboard the rails were different, but headboard was the same. I followed their instructions and returned it to then have the loading dock say I didn't need to bring it all. I was furious!!! My headboard got dirty in transportation per me, but It would have never happened if they knew THEIR PRODUCT! Now as I type this I am waiting for delivery for the night stands that scheduling an appointment was a nightmare to make. I called and asked for a date then was told they would call me back by a certain day then nothing. I then called again and received the same answer and no call back. After calling 3 separate times I finally got a appointment. NOW I am sitting here waiting for the delivery that was supposed to be here from 9-10AM then pushed back to 1:30-3:30PM and it is currently 3:45PM still waiting. I operate a business and if I ran operationally at all like this I wouldn't be in business! Such a disappointment! I hope the dressers have legs because I will literally throw the dresser through their window if they don't!!!! They have given me 10% for all the inconvenience, but seriously having dirty furnishings and wasted time to gets parts and now waiting for delivery is NOTHING! read more

Went to just browse and look at sofa sets. Soon as we enter, a male salesperson greeted us nicely then as we moved down into store a female saleswoman started following us around. When the males salesperson came back he said to her, they are my customers, i saw them first. She said no you did not, i did. Then they started verbally fighting in front of us like we were a piece of meat. We made our way to the door and left. The both kept fighting and following us to the door. Ordered an area rug and waited for three weeks for the rug to come in. When we finally went down to pick it up at the C.S. Wo customer pick up site, the two girls sitting in the office were sitting and talking to each other and I was not even greeted. They told me to wait by the dock with my trunk ready and that's what I did for 20 minutes. There were other people waiting outside for their furniture as well and no one came outside to assist us or to let us know that the furniture we were waiting for would be out shortly. Being that we were in a rush I went inside to tell them I'd have to come back and pick my rug up since t was taking so long and their response was "oh okay." That's it? Talk about customer service. Only when I told them it was taking too long and id have to come back, and had already left the pick up lot did they call saying the item was not even where the pickup location was and it was actually at the store. Such a hassle, not organized, and poor customer service. The guy waiting in the car next to us had told us that he had bought the furniture previously and told him the exact date and time he would be picking his furniture up and as you can guess, his items were not ready as well. I don't understand that! They had all this time to prepare and get it ready for when he says he was going to be picking it up. Not sure if we will shop here again. read more

We came here looking for a coffee table and TV stand and purchased a TV stand for $599. We saw a couple coffee tables we wanted to also add, but we were told that that the ones that we liked only came as a three-piece set, which is the only reason why I dropped a star. Jason Matsumoto helped us and was friendly. He wasn't overly pushy. Whenever I go to the Ward location, it feels like vultures are waiting at the front for their prey, so it nice not to feel like that at this location. Jason even sent us a card via snail mail thanking us for our purchase. We didn't get anything like that at the Ward location where we purchased more stuff with them, but I know it's not a service that they have to do, so it was a nice gesture. I've been to many furniture stores to purchase items for our new condo, but I think Ashley Furniture has the best selection. I would love to purchase stuff at C.S. Wo, but I can't afford their designer labels, so Ashley Furniture is the next best option for me. Don't even bother shopping at Discount Furniture Warehouse. Today I took my mom to purchase furniture for her new apartment at the Malaai street store. We found that the furniture items at Ashley were of good quality, well designed and prices were reasonable. Best of all were their employees, Cirilo (Ci), Rose ( Piilani), Chelsea and Brandy. All four employees were professional, helpful and kind. Rose stayed with my mom while Ci and I walked the store to find the right items for my mom to look at. Chelsea and Brandy who work in the office were efficient and courteous. Our wait time to process paper work to purchase over 10 items went well thanks to all four employees that were involved. We will continue to shop at Ashley furniture as the employees made our shopping experience a joy! Newly Updated Post: After I wrote this post, I had another exceptional service experience with Ashley furniture personnel. I found that they were sponsoring a Easter sale promotion just a few days following our purchase. I followed promotion guidelines and received a significant discount overall. Jason the manager worked with me to ensure I received a discount based on sale promotion guidelines. Jason, Brandy and Chelsea were the best in terms of friendly service and customer satisfaction. What a long day! I took my parents shopping for a couple couches and we ended up going to about 4 or 5 places. We were helped by a younger man that wasn't pushy, like the other places, and showed us a lot of different options. He narrowed down the choices by asking us questions and was very honest with his responses regarding certain couches (positive or negative). We ended up with 2 new couches and a delivery scheduled next week! Surprisingly enjoyed shopping for furniture. I recommend this to be one of your stops if you are shopping for furniture! read more

I had purchased a leather sofa and loveseat at Ashley Home Store back in July 2015. I also purchased the Super Stain Protection Plan. That was the best money I ever spent. After having the furniture for about a year and eight months, the leather started cracking on the loveseat and the backrest started ripping. Because I purchased the Super Stain Protection Plan, I contacted Ashley's and after sending in pictures of the loveseat and copy of the serial number under the chair, someone called me to say I could get a replacement loveseat. I went back to Ashley's today and talked to Cirilo, whom I had dealt with when we purchased the leather sofa and loveseat. I got a terrific deal for new furniture. Ci was so helpful and I'm so glad he suggested that I purchase the Super Stain Protection Plan. You can't go wrong in purchasing it. If you don't use the plan, you will get your money back. I'm very happy with my transaction today and I would definitely purchase furniture again from Ashley's in the future. read more

We bought furniture from Ashley over President's Day weekend and Brian N was great! There was a miscommunication with the delivery and we found out that Ashley was unable to deliver to us as there are 54 steps to our condo and they will only deliver 30 steps. We paid for Ashley's outsourced delivery company to deliver our furniture last Friday, 3/13/15. When the deliverymen arrived they stated that their supervisor would not let them deliver since it was more than 3 stories. We explained that from the garage it actually was 3 stories. I called Ashley and the manager Isaac was out so Jessica the receptionist took a message for him to return my call. I had not heard back from Isaac, so 30 minutes later I called again and Jeanie the receptionist had me speak to Brian, our salesman. Brian apologized for the circumstances and said that Isaac was calling the delivery company and would call me back to let me know the status. I waited another 1 1/2 hours with no return call from Isaac. I was told that he was at the Ward Ave store so I called him there. When Isaac came on the phone he just told me that they were going to deliver the furniture. When I asked him why they told us "no" he said he didn't know. I asked him if he asked the delivery supervisor why they declined to deliver as it made no sense to me since we were paying them - he replied "Don't insult my intelligence." He was quite defensive. I told Isaac I was awaiting his return call and he told me that he never told anyone he was going to call me back. Even when I told him that Jessica and Brian said he would call me back he just claimed that it was not his fault. He asked me "What's gonna make you happy?" very snidely and I told him we just wanted the furniture delivered. He reiterated that he should not have to call me back and it was not his fault. At this point I told him that as the manager it definitely was his responsibility to contact me, as his customer, to ensure the delivery was done. He has absolutely ZERO customer service skills. Hopefully Isaac will learn some appropriate communication skills and how to treat others with empathy and compassion. Thankfully to everyone else, we have our furniture. We came here 2 weeks ago looking for a living room set. The store is very big and well coordinated and we was greeted by Linda N. We looked around and found a living room set. I immediately wanted that furniture but in the cafe(dark brown) color which is a special order. While looking around me and my husband decided on this particular set and told Linda that we will come back because we were gonna decide on the rest of the pieces. We came back on Sunday 9/6 and found Linda again to assist with our purchase. 1 bad move, we could've had better customer service attention by someone else. She was bouncing from us and another customer she had before us. Had I known she was already helping someone I would've went to another associate. So me and my husband are deciding then we started deciding about pillows which we purchased as well. There was so much info that was left out by Linda that we could've just purchased the whole set the first time we came here. Anyways we completed our transaction and a mistake was made, Linda charged us more than what was supposed to be charged. So we had to wait for a credit then she came back out with the credit but before that my husband asked her if he could take the pillows and she said yeah. Well he walks out with the pillows and here she comes with the paperwork and then says oh he walked out with the pillows and I asked oh is he not supposed to. She said well he supposed to sign for it. OK then why didn't she make him sign for it? But then tells me that. No she told him it was ok. I recommend this place cause it is reasonable but the customer service given wasn't to good. I swear I could've gotten better customer service from another associate. If it's a special order be prepared to wait 6 to 8 weeks and to put 50% down payment. If you plan on using there no interest plan then be prepared to put down 10%. I just didn't want anymore headache and just paid for it. I thought I was going to be happy using there no interest plan but it didn't work out like that. read more

I purchased a power recliner sofa and rocker from Ashley Furniture at Ward Avenue for our brand new home. When the item was delivered it was damaged and the warehouse was nice to let us use the furniture until a new set was delivered. Unfortunately, the issue I had was a simple power cord to the 3 seater sofa. When the original item was delivered the delivery team did not have power cord to the power recliner. It's a brand new sofa and no power cord. No basically I just have a sofa and not a recliner. I spoke to the warehouse and they could not find the power cord that goes with the sofa. However they did find 2 different power cords and asked to pickup and see if it works. Each time the system fail. So I wasted my time driving to he warehouse to pickup and return a useless power cord. It's been about TWO MONTHS and I still don't have a power cord for a recliner and still waiting for my new furniture shipment. I have file my concern with Ashley Furniture for over 2 weeks and no one reply or seem to care. I am currently at a end and I am reaching to any Ashley Furniture staff that assist. Thanks. read more
