Horrible, just horrible. The customer service is beyond bad. Ive been on hold with their "customer service" department for the past 20 min. No one seems to know where my delivery is. I would strongly discourage people from dealing with these people. The local store is no help, and the corporate avenue is just as useless. I do not think I will be purchasing anything from these people again as this has been a nightmare. They were very quick to bill me the 150 dollars extra for the delivery, but not so quick to answer the phone, give any updates on the delivery. read more

Don't even set foot through the door. I'm not a negative nancy, but this is the worst experience I have ever had shopping for furniture. We ordered 2 bedroom suites in Sept 2020 and were told delivery in 6 to 8 weeks. We went back a few weeks later and ordered living room furniture as well. Again 6 to 8 weeks. This puts everything roughly around Christmas. We opt to have it all come in one delivery, which pushed it back to January. We then were told Feb. The scheduled day comes and goes - only to be told weather prevented delivery and we would get a call the following day to reschedule. We wait a full week, then drive to the store and force delivery, which is now March, a full 6 months to the day from when we bought and paid for the initial furniture. Yeah.........wait. We are told between 1 pm and 7 pm. At 730 pm, having not heard anything, we call the store and are told it's not coming. Keep in mind, we dismantled the beds a month ago for the FEB delivery - so we are sleeping on mattresses on the floor. I have to now go to storage and dig out the mattresses I put there earlier. 830 pm we get a call, they are 10 mins out. If we refuse, we might not get our stuff for another several months. They failed to bring all the necessary parts for my son's bed. The brought the wrong box spring for ours. They couldn't figure out how to get the dressers up the stairs. They brought a bookcase we didn't order. Our new mattress is now on the floor, as we don't have a box spring, no head board foot board, rail, etc. Same for our son. Head on down to the living room! They bring the wrong sofa and chairs. Wrong color, wrong stuff. The coffee table is damaged, so refused. There's an end table we didn't order. We call - they can't do anything that night. We wait all the next day for a call. Nothing. I had to drive to the store and was told that area, regional and corporate had to be involved. Called corporate customer service - no one has engaged them at all. The store offered 100 in store credit. We are frustrated and saddened. I don't get it. I get one or two things going wrong, I understand pieces damaged in transit - what I don't get is this ginormous cluster that has happened. We have an 8 year old son and two big dogs, who are climbing all over mattresses on floors and we had to throw old blankets on the sofas to prevent damage/stain, etc. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. The store has their money, so they don't really care. I am told I should have answers Monday, which will be about a full week. Also, the day before the delivery, we went to the store to verify the color/style of sofa - it is so not what showed up. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I purchased furniture from Ashley's furniture back in November! 4 piece sectional, buffet cabinet, 8 piece dinning set and just received those items on March 29th. Mid Atlantic furniture delivered our items. The deliver company was rude, rushed and told us they wouldn't arrange our furniture because they had to go to their next job and they were too busy. I called Ashley furniture in mechanicsburg Pa and they told me no they are suppose to arrange it. The store manager asked to talk to them and they refused while she is listening to this conversation. They said they will not arrange anything or talk to the manager because they don't work for Ashley's they are subcontracted. The manager said they would deal with the situation. They even put together our buffet cabinet outside where our buffet table was scratched. They never gave us time to inspect our furniture and as they attempted to rush out the door we told them look at these scratches. They said you want that fixed. Obviously. They went to their vehicle to get a marker out that they attempted to color in that has faded since then. Our home is empty with French doors plenty of room to work and put our furniture together. The store manager has sent countless emails to corporate to handle this situation and to call me! No calls what so ever from them. This is not even the worst part! The delivery company forged my husbands signature on a no fit waiver stating since our house isa liability if furniture is scratched we are responsible for the damage . I have been bounced all over the place. I keep putting supervisor call backs in and they keep passing me everywhere saying This is a delivery issue! No Ashley's is who I purchased from y'all should want to hear and discuss the complaints being made from your customer! I'm done buying furniture from them and so is my family and we have bought alot from them. I'm reporting them as well since they don't care to take our situation seriously. Forgery is crime. Beware of this company! I'm pretty sure they will hound you if you didn't pay your furniture bill but won't take care of any issues that they caused. I filed this complaint on March 29th same day all this BS occurred. I sent them videos, pictures everything. I spoke to two supervisors in delivery Tiffany Schultz who was very rude and tried to say they fired the drivers. When I said how were we suppose to know this she said it's none of our buisness what they do with their employees. I talked to Daryl Kimbrough apparently director of drivers for this third party company Ashley's uses and he only told me these men were suspended. They can refund of shipping charge. I asked what about our scratched furniture. I was told that has to come from Ashley's. Nobody from Corporate of Ashley's has called! No one.It is May 9th and I am being told now from Ashley home store they are not replacing our furniture because of this no fit waiver! WTF how many times do we tell them WE did not sign this document. If Ashley's Corporate office would call us this would have been resolved. I'm filing every complaint and taking as much legal action as I can because this is not right. We waited 5 months for this furniture. Look at these pictures, forgery of document. Drivers came with a clip board only! So how are we signing a no fit waiver! Emails being sent and no one from corporate even attempting to address our issue. read more

I'm sorry, but this company has honestly been the worst one I have EVER dealt with. Upon delivery, our dining room table was damaged. At this point, they promised an exchange or repair and we chose that option, due to already selling our old dining room set. A few days later, one of the chair's legs break when a family member is sitting in it. We call again, 4 months after calling... they send a tech to color the gouge in the table with permanent marker and TABLE legs... the frustration is real. Over 6 months of calling the store and customer care, nothing has been resolved or fixed... worst 1,000 mistake. Cheap quality. Stay away if you can. read more

Dining room table took a long time to come in, not their fault, I do understand that products everywhere are slow. Finally when we got the dining table, chairs and bench it had some damage and I think the delivery guy caused it but I can't prove it. That delivery guy (1 of 2) said he could touch it up with a cover up marker so I said ok, thinking he knew what he was doing and ended up making it worse. Thankfully, I can put that corner of the table where it isn't seen so much. The bench leather covering also came with a scratch in it and I noted all the stuff when I signed for the delivery though that hasn't gotten me anywhere. This table has a butterfly leaf that is a nice feature but we can't fold it up and make the table smaller because the one screw is pulled out and it was supposed to have 2. I think it is their responsibility to fix it but my husband who had a hip replaced a few years ago may have to get on the floor and get under the table and fix that. Very disappointed to say the least. The one manager I talked to was nice and seemed like he would get on it, maybe the problem is not his fault but would have appreciated calls or texts to keep me posted. They also said that some furniture was taking 8 to 12 weeks, but it was not normal. Many, many, many weeks later they still don't know where my furniture is. When I called they told me that there was an issue because of Covid. I guess I understand that, but they knew that when I bought my furniture and they didn't tell me. He helped us locate what we were looking for, offered suggestions, was patient and didn't bother while we looked. Something really shady happened yesterday and I want others to beware. 5 years ago I purchased 8k worth of furniture paid in full at this Ashley's Furniture in Mechanicsburg. Of course I bought the $499 warranty. Which originally I was advised if you don't use it you don't lose it. We called this same store in February to ask about the warranty as the 5 years were almost up and was advised we can the $499 towards a purchase before December 2018. Last night around 6:30/7PM my husband and I went there to purchase another couch since ours is wearing out and we didn't use the warranty because we wanted to apply it to a sectional. So went in met with the sales person (I believe it was just him and the receptionist working). I advised him we had the credit, he said no problem. We found the couch we liked from seeing it online (there was NO discounted price on this couch online) he insisted he could price match online. We were like okay great. We go to check out...to be advised 1. We cannot use the $499 unless we spend $4,000 (please see attached picture of minimum new purchase price) our purchase was $2,000 2. Montage was closed at that time and they no longer work with them 3. They couldn't give us the credit because suddenly the internet price was a promotional price 4. He tried to charge an extra $100 for the couch when online it clearly wasn't that. He advised because of the color? It's the same color as online. 5. It became 8 Pm the store closed so he locked the door, when we went to leave he had to let us out, didn't even say anything. So I said thanks have a good night. He still didn't say anything. I'm really confused by the lack of customer service this time, my experience the first time here was completely different. I also planned to buy the couch, then pay it off and get a new bedroom set. You lost business and I want my $499 back. The receptionist advised for us to call Montage, I did. In which they stated they don't do that. I feel like between the two of them some new rules were made up last night and I'm really disappointed. The woman who works 6 days a week who will be there Saturday advised us to come Saturday and speak with the manager who could help us with our purchase more. Why should I have to waste my time over poor service? I want to be contacted about this whole thing and how I'll get my money returned as I would never have paid it to begin with if I'd known this would happen or I want my current couches fixed. read more

Very disappointed in this store yet again. Purchased a bedroom set back in the summer, and was told multiple different dates for shipment. They delayed over and over stating they switched warehouses. Fast forward to buying a couch, regretting going back for the couch but did because the salesman was great. We have been told the couch will not be here until after the new year. It was supposed to be in the beginning of December. This time it's an excuse of their warehouse burned down. So many excuses and I can only imagine how much worse this will get once they move to the bigger building Dick's used to be in off the Carlisle Pike. read more

The customer service in this store is appalling. Once I placed my order I didn't hear from the company for 6 months. After calling endlessly to find out order status (the home office customer service number routes you to the store, the store never answers their phone) I finally got a call back on a delivery date. The delivery didn't show up for the first date. It was rescheduled then didn't show up on the second date. Note Ashley's policy is that customers have to pay a 25% restocking fee if the delivery shows up and you aren't home. But if the company doesn't show up? There's nothing you can do. After being on hold with the delivery side for hours --to no avail-- and trying to call the store -- with no response-- I finally drove myself to the store and stood there until I was helped. All I heard were excuses and I've never experienced such rudeness. We all understand Covid impacts deliveries. But there is no reason to treat your customers so incredibly poorly throughout the process. After 8 wasted hours waiting for this delivery, countless hours on the phone trying to get my furniture, it finally showed up on the third reschedule -- 2 hours after the 4 hour delivery window ended. Furniture is average quality at best. Save your money, your time and the headaches and shop elsewhere! read more

So excited to get my new living room set today from Ashley Homestore. When my sofa arrived the wood from the frame was sticking down a bit but attached. Call with customer service: could not do an even exchange. Had to return. Now have to wait 4-6 weeks to get new couch AND a new ottoman because the holes weren't drilled right. Unfortunately I got rid of all my living room furniture and all I have is the love seat. Customer service at #ashleyhomestore SUCKS! Doesn't matter if customer is inconvenienced. All they are willing to do is reimburse delivery charge. The bad part is they make their own furniture. Where is the quality check? Told them I have no experience in furniture but if I could tell something was wrong, shouldn't the people who work with furniture everyday be able to notice? So much for having people over to my house because they won't have a place to sit! My family has to sit on plastic chairs! The furniture is beautiful, the sales people on carlisle pike and in Harrisburg were great, the delivery people fantastic...rigid customer service policies and customer service personnel horrible! This was our first time shopping at Ashley Home store. We were greeted by Marcus Maxwell who was absolutely amazing! He explained the prices, how everything works and then just allowed us to look. When we had questions he was there to answer them, yet he never hovered. We are absolutely interested in purchasing furniture from Ashley, the only downfall is there are not many items that are in stock and we were hoping not to wait 8 to 12 weeks to receive living room furniture. Go somewhere else. These people don't know there own policies. We ordered 2 couches. Had to get them from the store because they told us they don't deliver that far. ? After our couches came in they called several times to let us know. The finance girl was rude to tell us bring your own help, we don't load when our salesperson, Peter, very nice guy told us they would help load. 3 day's before to go and get our couches they called to let us know they would deliver them. We already made plans to pick them up. They would deliver because our bill was more than $2000.00. But we couldn't get our couches till we paid another $39.00 to make our bill less than $2000.00. This makes no sense at all it was actually stupid. We we're planning on buying 2 large ottomans, 3 end tables and a headboard. We will be buying those elsewhere. Don't need the hassle. read more

My husband and I are moving into our new home and we were looking for a dinning room set. We went to Ashley's furniture on 09/04/2019 around 7pm with the intention of buying one since we already search their website and knew what we wanted, but unfortunately upon entering the store no one greeted us even though we were the only ones there and the two young ladies looked at us without saying anything. We continued to walk throughout the store and still no one said anything. This is unfortunate, I've bought furniture here a few years back and I had a great experience. This response is horrible, let me explain the entire story. On March 20, 2021 I walked in to order living room furniture. I ordered a couch, loveseat, 2 lamps, coffee table, sofa/console table and 2 end tables. Paying in full with the acknowledgment that it would take 8-12 weeks, maybe a little more. On may 20th I called for an update on the eta, I was told that the lamps, end tables and coffee table were at the warehouse but the couch and loveseat would be in by June 25 and the sofa table would be in by June 16. Called July 1, would be another week. Ok annoyed but not seething yet. They called to schedule delivery, they told me they could deliver lamps and couch and loveseat but could not deliver end tables and lamps and now sofa table instead of coffee table because they could not break up the set. What?? Ok Karen got the approval. The coffee table would be a little longer. July 13, delivery comes wrong end tables. Called and was told to refuse, ok fine. July 15....get a phone call from Christina, schedule the coffee table to be delivered, however I owe more for the correct end tables......nope not paying more. The manager on duty calls, I can't remember his name but he did tell me he was going to be the manager of chambersburg so good luck there. Well you owe another 90.00, nope not paying more money because that's what I ordered. Would you like me to escalate, yep! Ok someone will call you within 24 hours with a resolution, have to talk to the regional manager. No call. Called after 24 hours, Karen says I'll look into it and let you know. Calls back you don't have to pay more and they will be ordered. I called back to thank her as I missed her call. Called 8/19....eta please. Don't know, no eta available from the manufacturer. Hmmmmm, I'll call Ashley corporate...oh they are an independent you have to call this number....call. Regency Furniture???? Ok, interesting. Oh your end tables should be in today 8/20. It's green on the screen so that is what that means. Takes a couple days to check in, you should get a call next week to schedule delivery. Ok.....Saturday 8/28, called I was supposed to get a call about delivery.....they aren't due in until October!!!! About 6 years ago, my wife and I visited another Ashley store not far from our home in central Pennsylvania. Selection, quality and price were good, but the sales staff tracked us throughout the entire visit from department to department. We left, purchased elsewhere and never returned to an Ashley store....until last month. While visiting in Mechanicsburg, PA, our daughter suggested going to Ashley and assured us that her experience there was nothing like that. Upon entry, we were greeted pleasantly and looked around at various pieces of interest. We browsed the store and were visited by a salesperson who introduced themself, asked if they could assist and left us to shop until we needed assistance. When we did have some questions, the salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Not at all pushy like our experience many years ago. We found a living room set that we liked, but decided to check out other retailers both locally and back near our home. None of them could match the quality and price of the pieces we selected. As fate would have it, we returned to the Mechanicsburg, PA store in early February 2021, and again visited the store on Carlisle Pike. The livingroom suit we selected earlier was still there, but now on sale. We questioned our salesperson about various things regarding the couch as one we purchased just a couple of years ago elsewhere has left us disappointed in our selection.. Once again, the salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. We told him we would consider it while at dinner and would possibly return later in the day. He said he looked forward to seeing us later. After dinner, we decided to purchase the items we selected. Upon our return, we located the same salesperson who greeted us by name and wrote up the order. The process was pleasant and we ended up with a better price and quality delivered and set up for less than we could purchase it closer to home. Quality and professionalism really stood out at this store. After all, it is the people who make the difference in any business. We rate this location as 5 stars for Personnel, Appearance, Quality, Price and Delivery. We plan to return upon the completion of this project because of our pleasant experience. PARENTS BEWARE!!!!!!!! DON'T BUT CHILDREN BED FRAME FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. We purchased our bed from Ashley furniture, there was none in stock to see in person so the sales associate had us go to her computer screen in the office to purchase from them. We selected the B212-84/87 ( on April 3rd) mind you, you can find the same B212 online for half the price but that was after the fact and my husband said purchasing local always better option they take care of their clients. When the order finally arrived in May I called to let them now there is a 3 inch gap at the bottom of the bed from the mattress. My 4 year old fits herself between the mattress and frame ( I can fit my own leg in too). Since June its been a back and forth discussion with them. I've told them from a safety point their is going to be a child who falls through the crack and their going to break a leg and a lawsuit will be coming their way. So long story short I'm to split the difference so that her pillows can fall from the top and they are doing nothing about it. I'm Glad to see local business not caring about safety of children and fall back that's how its made. ( I've even asked to have the bed cut by a carpenter and that they just refund me the cost of the carpenter but I was told no) Ashley furniture you will not be getting any of my business ever again your customer care is very poor!!! read more

He was so patient with us even when we had to change our sofa configuration (after the order was already placed). He was helpful with offering advice and knowledgeable about the items he was selling. Their furniture quality is the pits. I order a coffee table, end table, and the matching sofa table. All 3 pieces arrived with POOR finishes. They fixed the coffee table. But the other pieces had to be reordered. The next sofa table fell apart when they opened the box. I told them to keep it... New store name--- crap from china! Buyer beware. read more

The majority of the staff is friendly but expect to wait a LONG time...it took 4 hrs to order my sofa in the store & a month to be delivered for something they actually had in stock & I even live within a 3 mile radius & they aren't flexible with waiving delivery fees for being a pain, making their customers wait past the delivery due date & picking days I have to work. I told them Saturday because I was off now they made me switch to Friday & I'm having to take time off work to be there when they deliver. Big pain & awful service.
