I have personally never shopped at Ashley Home Store before now. And, I doubt that I ever will again. A few years back, I bought around $9,000 worth of furniture from a long operating furniture business in Austin called Gage Furniture. The quality and service we received there was truly outstanding. We were disappointed to see that they had gone out of business when we were back on the market for more bookcases like we had purchased from Gage. We reached out to the sales agent whom we had a personal contact number for and she told us that the bookcases we purchased from her and Gage were made by Ashley. So, we decided to go to the source to order more. Although Ashley did not have the exact model and style we wanted to match the three that we had purchased at Gage, we did find something that looked close. However, you get what you pay for. The bookcases we bought from Gage were $1,000 each and very well made. The only bookcases available directly from Ashley were about one-third that price, and the quality was only slightly better than what you can buy at IKEA for less that a third of that. We were willing to compromise and ordered 3 bookcases from Ashley. We bought them on July 4th. The estimated delivery date was August 1st. We were contacted several times to delay the delivery until today, August 15th. There was a product shortage....and then a busy delivery schedule demand... but, today was the day we were to finally get them. We were only able to accept one of the bookcases. The other two arrived damaged. It really pointed out how cheap these things were. The first damaged bookcase looked like it had been punched in the particleboard back and the veneer was cracked and pushed in. The second damaged bookcase had the bottom feet smashed. We are so disappointed. We were encouraged that the color of the bookcases was a close enough match to our other three... but the quality is so inferior. Even the one good bookcase the delivery people left is poorly assembled and looks even cheaper than we were willing to accept. The whole customer service experience with Ashley has not been good. We had been warned by family about bad experiences with Ashley but were willing to give them a try for this only because they were the makers of the bookcases we love. We won't be shopping at Ashley in the future. We would rather buy higher quality furniture from the Amish Furniture Store in Fredericksburg and have it shipped to Round Rock area. read more

I was helped by a very nice young man who devoted a lot of attention and time. But I was taken aback by the poor quality of the furniture. Everything I saw was made of some sort of imitation wood, and most items on the floor had scratches and sometimes even large knicks. Dresser drawers didn't open or close properly. The handle on a recliner was stuck and wouldn't budge. I did see some nice looking sofas but wasn't in the market for one. I can see now why people who bought furniture long ago just keep it. My 50 year old furniture is real wood, heavy, sturdy, and just needs refinishing, which is my new plan. read more

We ordered our entire house furniture in Ashley Pflugerville store on Aug 27th 2022. They promised to deliver it within 4 weeks. We've been waiting for our furnitures since then. They promised to deliver our furniture today Nov 10th. We were very happy that finally the wait is over.. Voila!! They deliver only the Coffee table and say the rest of it that was assigned in our name is no more available in the warehouse. Now the store staff have no idea when the stock will be available. This is the most frustrating experience. When I called back Sandee Hendricks in the store who promised us quick delivery "off the records", she says "I have no idea what happened to the ones assigned to you, I cannot make the furniture and give it to you but I can check and let you know the next delivery date". Ashley furniture delivery guys broke my front door and left glass shards everywhere. When I called the manager to have a professional cleaning service clean up the glass, she told me that the delivery guys will clean it up. She could not give me a satisfactory answer when I asked her how they plan to do so without a vacuum or how they plan to get the glass shards out from my front lawn. I had to take the whole day off work to deal with this mess. To me, this is very irresponsible and Ashley's will not be getting my business in the future. ---- 02/11/2017 I had spoken with the store manager on the day of incident, and she told me that the shattered glass door and cleanup is something that I will have to "work out" with the delivery contractors. Ashley has a contract with the delivery guys, not us. Did I mention that these contractors are not insured too? Essentially Ashley HomeStore sent these guys, they wrecked my home, and Ashley HomeStore is not taking responsibility. Went in today to check out some furniture with my bf. Blake was super helpful and informative! While we were shopping, I asked my s/o to come check out this bed frame. So as he sits down another employee comes up to us, in mid conversation telling him that he need to watch his shoes because they are going to mess up the upholstery in such a condescending tone and ugly demeanor. They sent someone out, he fluffed it and left. BUT that did not fix the problem! Then the leather started to fade! What kind of quality is that? Then the reclining love seat broke! When ANOTHER tech came out he said, oh, yes, that's common with that couch! Excuse me.? We were asked to send photos and they would get someone back out. I don't usually leave reviews unless I have good things to say. Going out of my way to warn others here, and in hoping this business turns around to get things right. Purchased dining set in early November. Experience at the store was fine, although the sales person clearly did not want to wear her mask and made it obvious. Whatever. At least she kept her 6ft. Was advised that the dining set will not be delivered until mid-December due to demand, which was ok, purchased the set. Furniture finally got here a week before Christmas. Delivery and assembly was quick, delivery personnel pleasant. Unfortunately, half of the chairs were wobbly, inside of the dining table was cracked at two places. Chairs weren't finished completely, and my wife and toddler got multiple splinters within 30 minutes. Called customer service and they said it'll be another 3-4 weeks for redelivery. Called my salesperson to see if this could be expedited. She said she'll send an "emergency" text to her manager. Don't know what that meant, have not heard from either her or her manager to this day. Redelivery took place a month later. This time, the chair cushions were screwed-in misaligned. Also still wobbly. I didn't accept the delivery and asked them to redeliver. Redelivery again 2 weeks later with similar results. Delivery person tried to help me pick out the best 6 chairs from what was available, could not come up with 6 chairs that are satisfactory. At this point, I have no faith that additional redeliveries will do any good. I'm going to just sand it down where the finish is rough and sticks some pads to the chair legs to deal with wobbliness. It's not like I will be able to get a refund. Their customer service said so in a not very pleasant way. I'm just tired from wasting my time at this point. You win, Ashley. We'll just make sure to go elsewhere next time Spend a few hundred more if you can and buy from a better quality furniture store. read more

Called to cancel order- no one answers phone at the store, call center takes the cancellation request, says a supervisor will be calling, yet order is rescheduled for delivery. Call again (5 days in a row) to cancel order. Order is still coming, though call person says they will make note on order, alert supervisor, supervisor will call me. We are at several weeks now trying to get this order cancelled and now I see a bill for $500 on the account for god knows what. I have been in this location twice in the last 3 months. Both times it was fantastic service from the sales staff, but this time Vincent Dunn really knocked it out of the park. Not only did he provide Me his direct number, but when I texted him over a question he was quick to respond, provided me just the info I needed, set up the financing for me, and had it all ready to go once I returned. He even changed the delivery date twice for me with no complaint! I highly recommend him for all of your furniture needs. I personally have had a good experience with Ashley which is why I convinced my mom to go there when she was looking for some dining furniture. She found exactly what she wanted, but the corner of the table she bought was damaged when it was delivered along with a rough chair that gives splinters and another chair with stains on the leather. She pointed it all out to the delivery guys and wanted them to take it back but they were in a hurry to get out of there and told her to call the company and they would send someone out. She did contact them immediately and sent pictures and they said it was in the system and they would send a tech to see if it's repairable... that was 20+ days ago and she's heard nothing at all from anyone. She has been contacted though to schedule delivery for the other part of her order and she's so pissed of at the lack of communication from Ashley she's told them she doesn't want the 2nd delivery until they take care of the damaged table. I have to say... Rooms to Go has Ashley beat in this department. When a delivered item is damaged they immediately send you a new one and collect the damaged. Terrible, terrible customer service. So bad that it is absolutely not worth ordering from them, regardless of the look or feel of the furniture. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. We ordered a bedroom set on Labor Day - beginning of Sept, and were originally told it would be 4-6 weeks, which would have put us in October. The delivery date then gets delayed and delayed again. We finally got one piece out of the set in early November, but the second piece was damaged and we couldn't accept it. So the rest was delayed again until December 16, and then delayed again until today, December 30. 4 Months later. We are not at our house right now, but had people at the house who were able to let them in. Our mattress and box springs are currently in the same place the bed will go on a metal bed frame (very light). Apparently this was enough "moving of furniture" that the delivery team refused to touch the bed, and just dropped off the boxes and left, without bothering to call to discuss or tell anyone. So much for "white glove assembly service." We then called to complain, and after waiting through their interminable hold times, finally spoke to someone in "customer service." When we asked when someone could come to perform the assembly we paid for, the person proceeded to then aggressively tell us that "You accepted the order. All Sales are Final" without even trying to discuss any mitigation options to improve the situation. She was incredibly combative and unrelenting. We asked to speak to a manager and were told that there was no one "available." We asked for a call back from a manager and have not yet been called, an hour later. Overall, the furniture has been delayed at least 4-5 distinct times, only one of which we actually received a call to tell us about proactively. The other times, I have had to call them, and for the first few times, could never even find a number with a real person to talk to, so was just left in limbo. TLDR: I would not recommend ordering any furniture from Ashley Furniture if you actually want it any time within the next few months and especially if you don't feel like spending hours on hold waiting to ask someone about why you haven't received your furniture yet. Also don't expect to receive a replacement for months if you receive a damaged item to begin with. The people who work in the stores are great people, very intelligent and will work with you to buy the furniture you want, but once you are at the mercy of deliveries and customer "service", don't expect to get your furniture, especially for the first delivery date they claim to give you. I purchased two nightstands and a king bed frame with head and foot boards. Delivery was promised by 1/13. On 1/13 I received an automated phone call to schedule my delivery. The earliest delivery date was 1/19, between 4:15pm and 7:15pm. On 1/19 the delivery people arrived 1 hour early with no notice. The headboard had a large chunk of wood chipped off of it, and one of the drawers on one of the nightstands was broken. I refused delivery on the damaged items and I am waiting on a call back to have my items replaced. I tried calling the store during the delivery, but nobody answered the phone. I have one night stand, but no idea as to when my other items will be delivered undamaged. So far, this has been a disaster. read more

I enjoyed my experience. It was my first time buying anything from a furniture store and not craigslist or marketplace, so it was a different experience all together. Pros: 1. Friendly, funny, helpful staff 2. Considerate of budget, style, and quality 3. Huge selection 4. Great sales/promos - willing to match online pricing if you could put it in your cart/not sold out. 5. Overall good experience Cons: 1. Doesn't explain all the details to the Ashley home credit card until you've already signed up and purchased a piece 2. Instillation is a REQUIREMENT, which is associated with additional fees I didn't anticipate. I'm very okay moving and installing my own furniture and that wasn't really an option. 3. Timeline was so backed up I have to wait a month to get my furniture. This is highly inconvenient when they talk about being a seamless -no middleman- company. I don't think the cons outweighs the pros, but it's coming close. I can see myself coming back in the future for certain pieces that can't be easily found second hand. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING. We purchased an electric loveseat recliner and an oversized chair recliner. After only 2 years the chair stopped working in April . This year was used maybe 10 times. Then before they could send a technician, the loveseat stopped working that May. The recliner was finally repaired in OCTOBER but Ashley nor the extended warranty that Ashley sold to me for the furniture will repair the loveseat. They say it's a manufacturer defect. We purchased a couch here and on the delivery day, one piece was missing, and the delivery man asked to use our bathroom, which I allowed, and then guess what... he did not flush it. We ordered 2 large sofas (one power recliner), a rocker, and a tv stand on Jan 10th. At first we had the TV stand and rocker ready to go (we asked for a partial delivery if possible which was declined, they only do full deliveries). So then we were waiting on the sofas, they called us saying it was in store ready but needed to setup a delivery - earliest being 23rd which we accepted from the delivery department. At this point we have been told 3 separate ETAs - initially 6 to 8 weeks in Jan, then they were going to deliver it on the 23rd of March, now we were quoted today not until the 2nd week of April. This is completely unacceptable, we have been without our furniture for this long AND they are putting us on hold to cancel our order which i'm sure they will attempt to charge us a cancellation fee for THEIR mistakes. It sounds like they gave our furniture to someone else and pushed our delivery date out to do so. Its just insane. I do not think ill be using Ashley in the future, which is a huge let down given that our sales guy was so awesome. I hope they figure out the issues for their other customers. read more

From the beginning to still now I would not recommend their store or staff! The manager Connor and the other woman was very dismissive! I had to come in twice to sign the contract because the first one was lost! Sai the salesman didn't know what he was doing. Asked Connor if I could speak with the other manager about my issue since she was there to helping Sai the sale person but was only told she is at lunch and had to wait another 40 minutes before she came to floor while I watch her eat! Please understand I work at hospital so I know meal breaks are important but if there is a situation at hand you put your patient or customer first! Past experience has taught me to have no preexisting ideas about what happens in a fraternity house. There are events and parties and sometimes things go awry. The guys are great but somehow damage is done. It just is. I don't ask too many questions other than "what broke" or "what flooded" and certainly "was anyone hurt?" Recently I was called to replace a large leather sofa which was purchased by the fraternity parent group. I had information on who purchased it and although she did not select a commercial sofa as I recommended, it did last for more than a year. Mike Ainsworth was the original salesman for the sofas at Ashley Furniture. He went directly to the records from three years ago and found exactly what we needed. The check was mailed and delivery scheduled. So nice to complete a transaction while sipping green tea and wearing jammies in my home office. I recommend Ashley Furniture for their exceptional customer service. They do not carry commercial grade sofas which is what I specified originally but for less than half as much, the fraternity got a sofa that survived for three years. The guys never did tell me how the solid wood support piece on the sofa broke. It's a mystery and shall remain so forever. read more

Look at Better Business Bureau We made a $8,127 purchase for a bed and a Tempurpedic mattress at Ashley Furniture in Pflugerville- They delivered us the incorrect adjustable base, from a different brand twice (not the Tempurpedic we purchased, but an off-brand called Serta) They tried to scam us by giving us a cheaper Serta base (about 1k less than what we bought). They never apologized, gave us a HUGE hassle telling us to call Customer Service, Tempurpedic and nobody ever took ownership of the issue, never apologized. HORRIBLE read more
