The Food was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by everyone. Since we (the parents of the bride) couldn't be everywhere at once, we checked in with several guests afterward - every single one of them said the venue was stunning, the service was excellent, and the waitstaff was attentive and professional. Whatever guests needed, the staff provided without hesitation. Most importantly, the Bride and Groom were thrilled with how their special day turned out. Beautiful venue, but unfortunately our experience after the wedding completely changed our opinion. First off, be sure to get any request or agreement in writing, for ANY little thing. Even if it is just bringing a bottle of wine in for yourself. The sales person you initially meet with Will make you promises than the wedding coordinator will not know what you are talking about. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Our wedding coordinator was friendly, but they will ALWAYS prioritize their vendors when an issue is brought up. We chose the all-inclusive package expecting professionalism, coordination, and accountability. Instead, when multiple issues happened with one of their preferred vendors (the DJ), management and the wedding planner immediately defended the vendor rather than genuinely addressing our concerns. Important moments during our wedding were mishandled, including incorrect announcements, poor coordination, timeline confusion, and even the wrong versions of songs being played during the ceremony. Afterward, instead of accountability, we received a long response full of excuses blaming apps, timing, and "live event conditions." My advice to future couples: if you use this venue, strongly consider bringing your own outside vendors instead of using the inclusive package. Once the wedding is over, it feels very clear where the venue's loyalty lies -- with their preferred vendors they continue working with, not with the couples who paid thousands for their special day. read more

if I could give 0 stars I would. my sister in law had a wedding a week ago. they last minute told her she is not allowed to have alcohol AT HER WEDDING... how crazy? she even provided the bartender. she harrased me and literally all of the guests asking us what was in our cups and checking everything. we didn't mind to just drink and celebrate after the wedding as I don't even drink. but she made us feel soooooo uncomfortable. The venue itself is gorgeous.....but so many missed phone calls and emails when the mother of the bride was trying to get things scheduled. the coordinator gave almost no direction except for how for everyone to walk down the aisle. and while the food was good they didn't even give you enough to fill up my 9yr old granddaughter much less grown people! And of course what does everyone do after a wedding? Take off their heels!! so lots of us had our shoes off dancing and my feet were absolutely BLACK with grime and dirt. I asked one of the servers when they last mopped and she said well we sweep it everyday.... Ok wasn't what I asked... and when I said look at my feet this place needs to be mopped and she said nothing just walked away. No apology, no let me tell the director, NOTHING!! They were also cleaning up before people were done eating making people feel rushed to leave. For the money the brides parents paid I would be asking for a huge refund. 40k for a nasty dance floor, hardly any food and the parents had to decorate the tables for cocktail hour. For that money it should including everything including a CLEAN venue and a nicer staff, And enough food to make people full after they waited hours for the food. Was not impressed and never been to a wedding where the food doesn't show up soon after the ceremony. Very weird and uncoordinated. Ladies Please do not waste your money!! Just attended wedding here and was amazed how filthy, disorganized and rude & unprofessional the coordinator was. Poor bride had been planning this event for over 2 years almost nothing she asked for was honored. Her photographer (completely separate from this venue) saved her day and was the true coordinator of the event. None of the music was played as planned, the entrance into the reception was late and chaotic, music was wrong and bridal party was not allowed to enter as bride asked (to circle her during first dance) they were told they had to be seated. The coordinator was not to be found at all during the day and did no coordination during the event. The Venue is dirty and not well kept. Don't think staircase has ever been swept. And bride only had access to venture for about 8 hrs. We spent significantly less for my daughter's wedding at a much bigger cleaner and more beautiful venue that included a gorgeous house with amazing bridal suite and had access to the venue for full weekend (3 full days). Please shop around and do not waste your money here you will not get the wedding of your dreams here ! read more

I attended a recent wedding in January 2024. Sound system was HORRIBLE. Wedding venue sound was all mushy & muffled & we could not understand what was being said. Cheap & scratch microphones was very annoying. Same thing with waiting room & reception hall. They used the fewest & cheapeat boom boxes instead of professional sound system. For the amount of money they charge for events, they should be ashamed of themselves. Before making a reservation, you should check the sound in all 3 rooms. If you are near deaf and don't really care to understand what is being said and you are OK with loud boom box music sound, go ahead. Otherwise, consider other venues !!!!! read more

I recently had my evening wedding here at Ashton Gardens on September 30th, 2023 my fiancé and I chose this venue because it didn't need all the extravagant decorations, as we were looking for a very minimalistic wedding and of course for the beautiful chapel. We had an amazing day of coordinator (Arianna) provided by the venue. I would say the only things that weren't great was that we were provided a set up time of 430pm and when we got there their staff was still cleaning up from the wedding they had in the morning. Also, we had a "fake" send off so all our guest left their desserts and drinks on their tables so that they can return to enjoy, and the staff had already cleaned everything up, even those break down and clean up was at a later time. Our guest were upset as the drinks they set down were just gotten from the bar (bar closed at 1030pm). Terrible experience with the service. They only had one bar tender for 130 people, the line to get one drink was 20mins, it's an strategic moved because they charge open bar per hour so nobody can get more than 2-3 small drinks in 3-4hours party. The charge and arm and a leg for the drinks and the service is terrible. They do not have a mic in the chapel and they said they will have one, nobody could hear the wedding ceremony. The servers don't have experience and are very rude to the guess, they were picking up and cleaning up 30 mins before the time was over, so people who waited 20 mins to get a drink and got to dance when they went back ti their table , their drinks were gone. read more

Ashton Gardens is a very beautiful venue, it has a lot of pros: big venue, different packages, in house catering is AMAZING, the suite for the girls to get ready in is beautiful. However there were a few cons that had me wondering if I made the right choice choosing this venue for my wedding. We can start by the fact that just a month or so before the wedding our coordinator was changed even though we had just talked with her the dxay before, and there was a lot of information we had to go over again because our previous coordinator did not put it on our file. This was not a huge deal as the new coordinator did their best to catch up on all the information. Next I would like to talk about the day wedding day itself, me and my husband had a great time but we were really disappointed when after the wedding our family members and friends started to tell us about the things that went wrong. This is in no particular order. 1.We used their clean acrylic columns for our ceremony and on the day of the rehearsal we noticed they werre dirty so we asked them to make sure it was clean before wedding day, they assured us they would be clean. Forward to wedding day and they have fingerprints and even candle wax all over them and we had no time to clean it up before the ceremony. 2.When we signed our contract we decided to pay for an open bar, we had to pay for every adult who would be attending, regardless if they would drink or not. A few months later we are informed that they are implementing a wrist band policy, wich we had no problem with but I asked my coordinator if there was any way we could get a refund or compesation for those adults that would not be drinking since we only paid because they did not have any way to track it beore. She said that she had already included a champagne toast for free to our day (something we had not talked about and something we didnt care to have as nether me nor my husband like champagne) and that we had already paid and that is what was on our contract. I was upet because the rist band policy wasnt on our contract and they still implemented it afterwards, we had no problem paying for everyone if they could not control the amount of people drinking but if they could I saw no reason to pay for everyone if they would not be drinking. At the end of the day they decided not to implement the wrist band policy on our day so that was resolved. 3.The food. I have no complaints about the food itself, it was delicious! However, we were told by multiple guests that they only received one small tiny cup of apetizers, when they asked for more they were told "let me check if we have more" or "we are our of them". The kids had chicken fingers and fries, and when asking if they could have seconds they were told no. Just an overall awful experience for my guest as we expected way better service and amount of food to be served for the price we paid. Also we had a salad and potato leak shooters as our apetizers and the salad was served along with the main coure not as an entree during cocktail hour. 4. The bar. we had 3 hours of bar service and for some reason that started at 10am when my ceremony was supposed to start, I do not know why they decided to start it when no one was even inside the venue yet. But because of that they stoped the bar service 30 minutes earlier than expected. Not only did they stop serving alcoholic drinks but also any other non alcoholic drinks as well. Another problem we found was when my dad asked for a drink, he likes wiskey with no ice, I had previously informed both of my coordinators that my dad should not be refused a drink and to be treated just as good as me and my husband because he was a big part in making this day happen. He was told he could not have his drink with no ice, something trivial to be hanging on to I know but after I asked the coordinator she said that usually they donnt serve drinks with no ice (to save money I bet) but for close family they could do it. If they could do it from the beginning why was he denied it in the first place? 5.The venue itself the day of was dirty, my bridal party was literally piking up trash from what I guess was from the wedding on the previous day. 6.The staff. I don't know why we paid hundreds of dollars for the staff they needed if all they did was clean up tables, no one was refiling drinks or offering drinks or even water. The guest had to walk to the bar everytime they needed a refil. Alcoholic drinks I tttaly get it but sodas or just water should have been served at the tables no questions asked. We even paid extra for staffing fees when we gave them our final headcount, why did i pay for more servers if they did not serve? 7.It was sprinkling the day of the wedding and as we were getting ready and everyone was coming in and out of the chapel the floor was getting wet. My husband and I got married at this venue in October 2021 and the venue is absolutely stunning. The natural lighting in the chapel and the ballroom are to die for. However, there are a number of things we weren't the biggest fans of working with this venue. One: Communication is poor working with this venue. There were several times throughout the 11 months we worked with them where we reached out and was left on read. There were several misunderstanding between timing of working with a wedding coordinator (we were initially told we were working with a wedding planner) to who we were ACTUALLY going to be working with on the day of our wedding, it was a disaster. From the time we officially booked til wedding day, we worked with 5 different women. Robyn booked us. We communicated with Briana briefly. Worked with Amy at our 60 day out meeting. Worked with Cynthia 14 days before the wedding. Wedding day, we worked with Mikayla and another woman, I can't remember her name. The fact that we had to constantly follow up with the venue regarding ANYTHING regarding our wedding alone wasn't a good look and something that resonates with us til this day. The biggest annoyance being on the day of working with two people we never worked with, not even during the last planning meeting to get familiar with us. A ton of questions were being asked on the day of that would have been made clear if they'd been working with us the entire time and the nerve for the coordinator to leave us to work with another couple IN THE MIDDLE of our wedding and send someone else in her place was the icing on the cake for the level of irritation we experienced. Two: The food day of the wedding was MEH. I'd like caveat that we had a brunch wedding. There isn't a real 'menu tasting' with this venue. They host a night where they invite all of their couples getting married within the next 6 months, they make a few appetizers and dinner items for you to get a feel for how the chef cooks but you will NOT have the opportunity to taste all the menu items that you're interested in selecting for your wedding so it's really a toss up on whether your food will be great or not for what you select for your menu on wedding day. Mind you, the food was tasty at the event! We got some steak item (do NOT recommend), chicken & waffles (chicken was poo, the waffles were fire) as our main menu items. We had bacon wrapped shrimp and crab cakes as our apps which were fantastic. The venue only allows you to work with them for catering (at least that's what we were told when we booked) so you really don't have a choice but to say YOLO on your menu. Three: HIRE YOUR OWN DAY OF COORDINATOR! Honestly and truly, the headache working with the person the venue provides isn't worth it, if you can afford it. Luckily, I had my line sisters holding me down the day of so we weren't too stressed but if it weren't for them, our experience on wedding day would have been completely different. The wedding coordinator with the venue did not communicate with any of our vendor team (DJ/entertainment, photo/video, floral) regarding anything wedding day. I did all of that. Our DJ was unaware of how many people were attending our wedding which caused our ceremony to start late. Many things could have been avoided day of had the proper communication and the coordinator did their job appropriately. Wrapping this up, our wedding day turned out beautiful and we had a great time. Our photos turned out fantastic. I would still recommend this venue to any couple seeking to get married in the greater ATL area. These things I mentioned I think every couple should know before working with this venue. We Just attended a wedding in this location. It can easily house one of 200 ppl though this one was smaller. The chapel is lovely with large windows behind the altar area. There was an issue with the sound which should have been fixed immediately rather then letting half the ceremony go by before letting it self correct due to the entire belt pack being dropped by the minister and when repositioned the mic was now in a good place. The chapel is simple white allowing you to add decor as planned/themed. The outside area is gorgeous for outdoor pics and great lighting. This ceremony was today at 5.30pm. The reception area is plentiful well designed and has space for dining, dancing, and the catering team. The food was delicious, which is rare at an event like this! There were part favors and one was "silly/string spray" which shot down the party for about 30 mins because it caused the dance floor to become very slick. (Warning) Most importantly this venue has a STRONG AC. Which means that even with this crowd, and we were dancing, the rooms were kept nice and cool!!! Can't underestimate comfort in summer in Atlanta!! I recommend this venue for your event. If I lived local I would wven use it for my larger parties! read more

Our wedding day was on 3.2.23 and it was the most loving and fun day ever from start to finish, even with the rain! Haha. I never thought we could afford to have a wedding at a venue like Ashton Gardens, it was a dream come true. We fell in love and were sold from the moment we stepped through their front doors. Everything about it is grand- their chapel, bridal suite, ballroom, stairwell and their bathrooms! A few months after we reserved our date, we received an email invite for their Wedding Experience and we absolutely loved it! It gave us a true idea of what is to be expected on the big day. Shortly after, we were blessed to have Ayla Bellamy assigned as our wedding coordinator, and let me tell you, SHE IS ON IT. Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming, but Ayla made it fun. She is extremely detail oriented and reassured me time and time again that I had nothing to worry about, and she was right. Any time I had a random question about something I forgot to ask, Ayla was only a text message away. She was seriously my girl throughout the entire process. On top of being super bubbly, excited, energetic, and patient, she was also honest. That will always be appreciated. She was there for me every moment I needed her and even danced with us a few times throughout the night! I can't forget about how much my mom loved her! Our guests were in awe the day of the wedding. The venue of Ashton Gardens was extremely beautiful. I enjoyed the seclusion of the entire venue, and how elegant everything was. It was more than enough bathroom and a ballroom big enough to host several groups. I would definitely consider have a wedding/event here. The wedding coordinator, Cocoa, was phenomenal! My daughter got married here in early June. The communication from the day we booked until the rehearsal was horrendous. That's 15 months of undue stress. A few months after we booked, Ashton Gardens changed management and they were trying to tell us our contract was not what we agreed to. Once that was settled, our contact person changed multiple times. Given the amount of weddings they host, this should have been a very smooth process and it was not. We had to struggle every time we needed to reach them to discuss a detail or ask a question. The negative aside, our day of coordinator (Kiana) came through for us on everything on the wedding day. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the food was outstanding and the day of went perfectly. Our guests and family truly enjoyed the event. For the wedding day, I'd give 5 stars. For the 15 months leading up to that day, I'd give only 1 star. Only the bride can say if it was worth the aggravation or not. read more

Had my wedding ceremony here in August 2020. Had a reception in August 2021. For August 2020, everything was perfect! The coordinator was great and the day was the most perfect day ever! Nothing went wrong that I know of! Then, the venue was sold I guess, cause in August 2021, I had the opposite experience. For August 2021: Pros: They were really nice during meetings and let me move my reception date when the pandemic made my guests cancel. Drinks from the bar were good. The venue itself is gorgeous. Tons of parking for guests. Cons: Two days before the wedding, we had a different venue coordinator assigned to us than the girl that we met during planning meetings. On the day of the wedding, the new venue coordinator was pretty bad--she didn't know what was going on (timeline or where the bathrooms were?), she approached me multiple times before the ceremony and during the reception to ask me questions (timeline, dress bundling, etc), she approached my husband multiple times to ask questions (transportation), and she approached our parents to ask questions (timing and transportation). This stranger really interrupted the day. A venue waiter asked me (and asked my mom) when I wanted the food to come out, which is really weird since we went over timeline with the venue representative during each planning meeting (our band, photographer, and videographer were perfect on timing!). Then, the food was cold! We had the brunch buffet and everything was so cold! The waffles were so hard I couldn't break it with my teeth. I was so embarrassed that our guests had to eat cold (and weirdly hard?) food! We also discussed during our planning meetings that the staff was to cut the all of the tiers of the cake, serve it to guests, and leave the leftovers for us to take home. They did not cut every tier. Instead they wrapped the uncut bottom tier in clingwrap, put it in a cardboard box, and stacked other stuff on it so it smushed the bottom tier. The top tier (which was a unique flavor) must have gotten thrown away because no one ever saw that flavor come out and we couldn't find it at the end of the event. It seems like they threw out around $200 of cake. The photo booth had a different couple's name programmed into the "filter" options (the wedding before ours). I have never received any of the photo booth photos and it's been over 6 months. Finally. there was another wedding coming in after mine, and the people came in to the venue before my time was up (it felt like they were pushing us out as we tried to load the gifts and decorations into our cars). Them coming inside is not totally the venue's fault but they could have told the people to wait rather than let them in. I wasn't allowed to come onsite early and they should have realized they were intruding. Overall, my reception is a really sad thing to look back on. Glad my ceremony was before the venue was sold. read more

This is a charming wedding venue! Recently I attended a Sunday morning wedding and reception at Ashton Gardens. The compound was a ways from the city but it was pretty easy to find. The wedding chapel and reception hall were connected by a covered walkway. I liked the convenience of parking in the huge lot out front and not having to get in my car again until the festivities ended. The Chapel It was one the most picturesque little chapels I've seen. My eyes were drawn up to the arched wood-beamed ceilings and then to the views of greenery outside. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in a ton of light. Live musicians were playing in the balcony and the acoustics sounded good. It was beautiful and very memorable. The Reception Hall & Food It took about two minutes to walk to the reception hall. A guest book was placed in the foyer so everyone could sign it as they entered. Before the sit-down meal we were treated to a "cocktail hour." I put that in quotes because it was still morning and there were no cocktails. Instead it was a coffee bar with flavored syrups and tea and nibbles. Guests served themselves from two tables flanking the entrance and went back to their tables. There were about 150 people in the banquet hall and there was more than enough room for everyone. Although the wedding party entered through the main doors, the bride and groom made their grand entrance down a curved staircase. I didn't try the food since I happened to be fasting that weekend. I should note that no one at my table said one word about it. They didn't rave that it tasted good or complain that it was terrible. The fact that no one said anything made me think it was ok but nothing special. This place is a beautiful place to hold a wedding. They manage it pretty well, and the outdoor space and chapel are downright perfect looking. My complaint is more oriented around the food. I was at a wedding there Sunday night and the food was absolutely terrible. I was told this was a $150 per head arrangement, and the menu consisted of a salad with endives and candied walnuts, and an entree choice of steak or salmon. Several tables were served salad with no dressing, and a cousin found mold in her salad, for which she is suffering from food poisoning after eating it. The worst part for me was that we were served rotted meat. My steak was overcooked and dry, with char lines along the top. When we flipped it over, there were clear splotches of black and green all over the meat, which they did not sear. The grid lines on the bottom seem to indicate this steak was cooked over some sort of wire mesh, and the char lines applied artificially on top to hide the splotches, but the cooks were too lazy to apply it to the other side. Several other guests at the table discovered the same splotches on their meat. I have had food poisoning for two days after eating a piece before discovering the rot. I will include a picture. I would strongly discourage anyone from eating here or holding their wedding here unless they wish all their guests to suffer gastric distress. A majority of the guest left early, no doubt to attend to their own stomach problems. I forsee this place getting a visit from the local health inspector soon. Others have taken pictures of their meat, so expect additional photos and negative reviews if you don't believe mine. read more

I was in the bridal party and they completely screwed us over. Ceremony was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. and we were told that the earliest we can arrive is 6:20 p.m. We arrived exactly on time and guess what, there was another wedding still going on inside the chapel! Turns out that the other wedding started one hour late!!! By the time their ceremony ended and their people left the chapel, it was 7:00 p.m. We needed to take pictures before the wedding but that was impossible because the other guests would not leave! To make matters worse, our own guests arrived around 7:00 p.m. and everyone saw us taking pictures. We were SO rushed. This is inexcusable and I really think Ashton Gardens should consider this in the future. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 just because the actual chapel building and reception hall is beautiful. So I hope that I can add a "father of the bride" perspective to these reviews. I can truthfully say that I consider AG not only a venue but THE venue for weddings. They know what they're doing, and our coordinator Jazz treated us like HER family. My wife and I were so happy with the outcome of our daughter's wedding. Yes, there were a couple small hiccups. But nothing any of our guests would ever know. They helped us prepare so well. The venue's chapel and banquet rooms were beautiful. All of the wedding party's prep areas were large and well maintained. The food was incredible! And at the end of the night, everyone left happy, never feeling rushed. I have now had the delightful experience of attending 2 weddings at Ashton Gardens. The venue itself is very pretty and extremely easy to get to with plenty of private parking. This is basically an all-in-one type venue where you can have the ceremony, take pictures and the reception without having to get in your car and risk having half your guestlist getting lost or relying on a GPS. The chapel is an A-frame large room with huge windows overlooking the gardens and provides a nice picturesque view of the bride and groom during the ceremony. From what I can see of the pictures, the chapel's decorations don't really vary from weddings to weddings which future brides should consider. The reception area is on the other side of the building. I have no idea if it is accessible through another hallway from the chapel as we had to walk outside and around the corner to get there. I only add that as a precaution when the weather is not cooperating on your special day. The food here was eh in that it wasn't too memorable for me. The wedding that we stayed for the reception served prime rib, a fish dish, a chicken dish and veggies. My complaint about the food was that the staff was a little too on point in clearing the dishes off the table. I seriously turned around to chat to a friend at the table behind us and when i turned around, my plate was gone as was my drink. I'm not sure if the staff thought that my 1/2 eaten veggies and untouched rib meant that I was finished, cause I assure you I wasn't. They also quickly cleared the food off the dancefloor so if you wanted seconds (or in my case, my first dish) then you were SOL. The grounds itself is very pretty and nice. read more

(being a florist) i was super happy to hear that we were getting an Ashton gardens. It is a breathtaking venue. The chapel ceremony hall is gorgeous with the open wood, and the glass windows, and there are so many options you can decorate with. then you go next door and the party hall is nice and roomy, also very easy to decorate, simple but elegant. I love that the bride and groom get a grand entrance down the staircase. It is affordable. and guaranteed to give you a wedding you and your guests will not forget. Okay so my husband and I finally had our day on April 28th. It rained cats and cows all day but Ashton Gardens is so nice that our guests did not even pay attention to the weather. Our Ceremony was at 12:30PM and everything started on time. Our wedding coordinator Mary White made sure everything ran smoothly. The service at this place is suburb. Once the Ceremony ended and the guests moved over to the ballroom the staff came over in the rain to the chapel to serve the wedding party appetizers and drinks while we were taking pictures. After the photos my wedding party lined up to walk into the ballroom and my husband and I made our grand entrance into the ballroom from the staircase. Our guests were so blown away by how classy our event was. We chose a seated lunch instead of the buffet and told the chef to please make sure the food was seasoned well. We had 4 passed appetizer's: Crab Cakes, Pulled Pork and Corn biscuits, Shrimp and Beef Skewers delicious! For the Meal we selected the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Champagne Sauce, Whipped Potatoes and Garlic Green Beans. The food was very good. With the promotion we received they threw in the photo booth and that was a huge hit our guests loved it! After close to 1 week since our wedding people are still talking about it. Nutshell - BEAUTIFUL VENUE, BAD SERVICE. ASHTON GARDEN is a wedding FACTORY and your wedding is just a dime a dozen to them. They do not make you feel like it is YOUR special day. Worth the read - its your wedding day, and a LOT of money!... *   BEAUTIFUL VENUE : ONE OF THE FEW VENUES WITH A CHAPEL. The chapel was breathtaking during my wedding and guests truly gushed about how excellent the ceremony was. It is the best of both worlds. The chapel decoration is not specific to any religion which lends well to multiple uses, but still gives you the traditional chapel wedding feel.  - WARNING: A con about the physical venue is the location. It is VERY far from Atlanta, and from the airport. HOTELS ARE NOT CONVENIENT. Guests coming in from out of town should be warned of this, and all guests should be warned of the horrendous traffic you will encounter during most of the allotted wedding times. - Another WARNING - beautiful floor to ceiling windows provide the perfect picture scenery. My wedding was at 7pm in October, which means it was dark by the time I hit my wedding runway. All photos that we took after the ceremony during our cocktail hour/photo session displayed a dark background outside. My warning/suggestion is to take photos in the chapel prior to your wedding beginning if you have a later time slot. ... which brings me to my... -BIGGEST COMPLAINT. The same beautiful backdrop, one of the main reasons why we paid money for this location - caused a BIG HASSLE when it came to the service from all staff at Ashton. Their policies provided me with more than one tearful moment during my wedding day. The staff is OVERLY strict on their rules. Considering this is my once in a lifetime wedding day, circumstances come up where exceptions have to be made - I thought a wedding venue (of all places) would have contingencies, but this is not the case. You are not allowed access to the chapel or wedding suites until an hour and 30 minutes before your ceremony time starts, because of their policy, and the fact that they have rehearsals prior to your wedding beginning. It makes you immediately rushed to start your wedding day.  Prior to our ceremony, I was taking photos in the chapel to achieve my lighting background goal. Guests were allowed into the chapel when it had been previously arranged they would not be allowed in until after pictures. We asked guests to exit the chapel with the intention of them waiting in the reception hall. The venue would NOT let our guests wait inside the reception hall. This meant that my 75+ year old Grandmother and her 3 sisters, not to mention other elder guests of ours had to wait outside in the rain and cold. There was no reason besides 'policy' why our guests could not wait in the hallway of the reception area for the 15-20 minutes it took for us to take our photos. Staff said we had not 'rented' that area... AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE OUR GUESTS IN THE RAIN. Also, I did not have an excessive amount of decorations, and we were never given a limit on how much we could bring. Although the venue offers to decorate, my family was on site to help and make sure things look how we wanted. We were told multiple times, "WE HAVE THREE WEDDINGS TOMORROW." ... Well, I ONLY HAVE 1 WEDDING, and with the price I paid for my one wedding day, I expect you to focus 100% on my day, and want to feel like it is your biggest concern. After rushing us, food was late and designated bridal waiter seemed very overwhelmed by the job. Although the venue-provided wedding coordinator was polite and knowledgeable about the venue and policies, she was not the least bit flexible about choosing times for us to meet during multiple wedding coordinating meetings. She only gave us times that were during normal business hours, which (of course) are also during OUR respective business hours. And when we offered to come in early or late at other times during the weekend, she let us know that she could not possibly focus on anything other than weddings later in the day so early morning meetings would not be possible... meanwhile, come the day of my wedding, I did not see my venue wedding coordinator, even for a 'welcome', until after my ceremony was complete, even though I was texting and calling her cell multiple times to ask for her assistance concerning the chapel issue. Lastly, and to further illustrate how little this person cared, was the fact that she did not even spell my husband's name correctly when asking us to provide a review of the services rendered. CONCLUSION: BEAUTIFUL VENUE, BUT THE STAFF MADE ME FEEL LIKE IT WAS NOT MY SPECIAL DAY - OR EVEN A SPECIAL DAY. THEY DID THE BARE MINIMUM AND WERE READY TO PREPARE FOR TOMORROW'S DAY OF WEDDINGS BEFORE MINE EVEN BEGAN.... NEVER PAID SO MUCH $ FOR ANYTHING AND WAS NOT 100% HAPPY WITH IT. IF IT WAS NOT FOR MY FABULOUS FAMILY SAVING THE DAY, I WOULD NOT HAVE FELT LIKE IT WAS THE WEDDING OF MY DREAMS! read more

Beautiful venue. Great people to work with. All of our guests loved the venue, loved the food, and thought it was breath taking. Can't say enough how happy we were with the venue. They were incredibly accommodating, and I appreciate how they give you the linens and decorations complimentary. Because it was such a beautiful venue, we could go minimal on the decorations. The tasting was exceptionally well done as well. We had great experience with their preferred vendors. The venue is a little on the pricier side, but worth every single penny. While this is a beautiful venue and, at least from first appearances, just about everything is included. The food was great although what was supposed to be a buffet ran out pretty quickly. As the father of the bride I barely got anything and went to a restaurant afterwards. The "planner" was woefully inadequate. Absolutely no prior planning, no schedule and no idea what was going on. All of the direct family wound up just sitting or standing around because there was no direction whatsoever. To top it off there was evidently a high profile person getting married after us and we were basically thrown out so the "more important" people could get their ceremony going. Have had several friends ask about using this venue and my response has been, and will continue to be, 'not on my worst day'. read more

We booked Ashton Gardens about 10 months before my daughter's wedding. The wedding planner that we started with left between booking and wedding. Another planner was hired and we were her first wedding. Many places would have left it at that but AG went above and beyond. They brought in another planner from Texas to insure everything was handled properly. My daughter's was on a Sunday. For that reason there were fewer weddings being held during the day. There was no wedding in the time slot just before us. AG allowed us to show up early, since we wouldn't be encroaching on someone else's special day. This was greatly appreciated. Although we still get all the pictures we wanted, it wasn't because AG didn't accommodate us. It is such a beautiful venue, we could have been there all day. The reception was perfect. The tables were set up exactly like we wanted. The escort cards were beautifully arranged in the lobby. There wasn't a detail that was out of place. The food was delicious. I hadn't got to the mashed potato bar before it closed, so a member of the wait staff went into the back and got me a serving of each kind of the potatoes and the toppings. I later found out that they had done the same for the bride and groom. Anytime I talked to a wedding guest, they told me how beautiful everything was. I can't imagine how anything could have been better. Another key to having everything perfect is to ask for Delaney. I didn't know to do this but fortunately she was working our event. Anytime I wanted something done, Delaney was right there with a smile. I know she had other duties because I constantly saw her doing them. And she wasn't just looking busy, she was handling anything and everything that arose. Weddings can be stressful. For the father of the bride, they can be debilitating. Thanks to Delaney, I was able to relax, celebrate and enjoy the party. AG may have more cast members like Delaney, but why take a chance. When you book your event, ask if she is available for yours. read more

For us they certainly were not and they failed -- ESPECIALLY CELITA AND HER FAILURE TO REACH OUT TO US, OR OVERSEE JENNIFER GRAHAM. WE NEVER HEARD FROM OR SAW HER ONCE WHEN SHE REPLACED ANN WHO WAS TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF US. We saw other people being handled well during our year of planning, but we were disregarded by your director: why? Was our money still not green???? Was there some other issue with serving us with the utmost care shown to other customers? Why were we given such an inexperienced coordinator when we were working with the first director Ann to begin with??? This was not about the contract. It was about poor service received having paid so much money for our special day - a day which cannot be redone. It's about all the things I noted as well as many other things like raw prime rib which I told Jennifer should be medium well to well done when planning our menu; it's about our commemorative cake servers being damaged by your staff, and items not returned as promised by Jennifer and outlined in the contract. It's about your coordinator messing up our rehearsal time despite her knowing travel plans of those in the bridal party for the rehearsal and lying about it, it's about her not taking care to step aside and being in many of our wedding pictures and being poorly dressed for the occasion; it's about flowers not being placed where we requested them as previously agreed when they were removed from the chapel after the ceremony. It's about planning things and being clear about them with the coordinator and those same things not being done as agreed. ALL UNACCEPTABLE, AND CERTAINLY NOT PROFESSIONAL, AND NO WHERE NEAR EXCELLENT. read more
