From their large warehouse, you can "shop the store" or order your own custom furniture. Their customer service and sales people are friendly and are willing to assist you with all of your purchases. We worked with several sales associates, but the one that went over and above helping us was Molly. She not only helped us but also assisted my sister-in-law, who is also new to the area, with their furniture selections for her entire house, and it all turned out beautifully. Never had an issue with safety. The apartment was clean. The value is tremendous. Rent is insanely affordable. The size of the apartment was HUGE. Utilities were standard. Noise was as expected, but never an issue. Staff was super helpful and friendly, and they actually care about you as a person! The complex is 5 min. away from Golds Gym, plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, and only about 11 min. from Anderson University. Our entire experience at The Hamptons was about as perfect as it gets. I highly recommend it, especially for college students looking for affordable living that isn't far from anything.

Most are nice but some can be obnoxious (upstairs neighbors who consistently thought vacuuming at 2am was cool). My biggest complaint is in regards to maintenance. About a week before my move out date, my shower stopped working. Despite multiple calls, it was not fixed before my move out date. That's just unacceptable! Even if I'm leaving soon, I'd like to be clean. Overall, it an adequate place to live but I'm sure there are better places.

I rarely leave reviews like this, but after more than a month of attempting to resolve a serious…read morehealth and safety concern at MAA Tanglewood, I believe our experience needs to be documented. A moisture/leak issue and suspected mold/microbial growth was first reported to management on July 19, 2026. Management acknowledged that the source of the leak needed to be identified and stopped and that repairs needed to be made. Within days, the resident, who has a pre-existing respiratory condition, required emergency medical treatment for chest tightness and breathing difficulties. Management was made aware of the health concern. Photographs documenting the worsening conditions were provided to management, and we were subsequently told that contractors would come to remove the affected ceiling material and make repairs. Those promised repairs did not occur. The condition has since progressed, including visible dark spotting/discoloration around multiple HVAC vents. The resident has stopped sleeping in the affected bedrooms while continuing to meet all rental obligations. We escalated the matter directly to MAA Corporate by telephone. The result was another emergency maintenance request, but no resolution. Then, on August 24, contractors were at a neighboring apartment performing mold/moisture-related repairs. When asked when they would be performing the previously represented repairs in our apartment, the contractor advised that they did not have a work order for our apartment. That was extremely concerning after more than a month of reports, inspections, maintenance visits, photographs, a medical event, and repeated representations that contractor repairs were being arranged. We have now formally escalated the matter in writing to MAA regional and corporate leadership, including a request for reasonable accommodation and release from the lease without penalty because of the resident's documented health concerns. As of the time of this review, we have received no response to that corporate escalation. To be clear, this review is not being written simply because an apartment needed a repair. Maintenance issues happen. The concern is what has happened after the problem was reported. More than a month has passed. The condition has progressed. Promised repairs have not occurred. A neighboring apartment received contractor attention while we learned there was apparently no contractor work order for ours. Attempts to escalate the issue through both property management and corporate channels have yet to produce a meaningful resolution. We are still willing to resolve this directly and professionally with MAA. At this point, we are asking for someone in MAA regional or corporate leadership with the authority to actually resolve this matter to contact us. Another maintenance request is not the resolution we are seeking.
