Mongo is a German chain of Mongolian BBQ restaurants. If you are an American, it might be similar…read moreto BD's, Flattop Grill or PF Chang. The process is the same as other Mongolian joints. You fill a bowl with stuff (meat, veg, seasonings), pick a sauce and the cook guys stir fry it for you. If you don't like it, well...you made it! Where Mongo really shines is the HUGE amount of ingredients available - at least 15 kinds of protein from turkey, beef or shrimp to the more unusual like liver, rabbit or octopus. Plus, there are many kids of fish/ seafood + tofu. You can add noodles ( again, at least 6 types) or have rice. The sauces offer something for everyone from mild to "spicy" - be aware that spicy here is not Asian spicy. If you really want it hot they will happily bring you a dish of chili paste. Pricing depends of if you want one bowl or unlimited trips to the food bar. Our server was really friendly and efficient, even with a group of 30! It's a fun, energetic atmosphere and good for groups or those who like something a little more adventurous.

There weren't that many customers, so we had plenty of tables to choose from. The decor was mostly professional pics of their foods, but very clean. Service was pleasant and brisk. I ordered the grilled beef and vegetables with vermicelli noodles with double cups of fish sauce. It was just like eating Vietnamese back home! The beef was cooked and flavorful, and the pickled veggies added a nice contrast to the fish sauce. I had a chicken salad with pickled veggies and that was super delicious. My dessert drink was the three color bean with coconut milk...so good! I would highly recommend this place for those craving yummy Vietnamese food.

Small but very effective & efficient…read more You select what you'd like from a solid selection & then cook them at your table similar to a Korean BBQ set-up. They're not stingy with the food availability & have seafood, chicken, beef, pork & lamb. All great eating & easy for the restaurant goer to make ready & eat hot & delicious! This is a definite "recommend" from me.
