The food itself for breakfast seems to be the norm in Turkey - sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, olives, bread, cereal, jelly/jams. There was an option to have freshly made omelets, which given our schedule we only tried once but was also very good. Overall, it seemed healthy though there seems to be a fly situation throughout Turkey to which the place was no exception. But it's hard to hold that against the place since I've seen it everywhere from Kas, Istanbul, and truck stops throughout my trip through Turkey. First, the dish ware is beautifully ornate - I highly recommend ordering a raki and Turkish coffee just to see the dish ware. The food was also fantastic. The first night we had golzeme (sp?)(cheese and herbs), a wrap, and hummus and ezmer (sp? Red pepper appetizer). The golzeme was very good and was made fresh in front of us. The wrap was good though not memorable. And the ezmer, which we'd tried as at multiple places, was the spiciest we'd had. The second night we got the golzeme again, an ottoman salad, dolmas, and finished with a lemon and sugar golzeme. The Ottoman salad was a nice light salad, which we split, with a lemony dressing and walnuts. The dolmas had the most interesting taste with a bit of mint I think. The lemon and sugar golzeme was a fun change from baklava but wouldn't necessarily be my favorite thing under other circumstances. The ambience is in a busy square under a big old tree with great people watching. Lots of kitties visited but politely kept their distance.

In my case somewhere that makes a decent Turkish coffee, medium sweet. The Merkez bar hit the spot. A bonus was the comfy settees and cushions. For those that are on a Room only basis they do a mean Turkish breakfast. Enough to keep you going all day. Brilliant friendly service with the exquisite Turkish coffee cups in silver.
