The day of my massage, I got lost trying to get to them in the pouring rain. I arrived to my appointment 1 hour late and soaked to the bone from the rain. They were amazing! Not only did they welcome me with open arms, they took me in right away kept my appointment. Luna was my massage therapist and she was amazing. She did a fantastic job and even made some suggestions on some problem areas that were holding tension. If you are looking for a spa and need a massage, be sure to stop into this place, it's worth every effort to find them, they CARE about the people who find them. Luna is amazing but they are all kind and gentle with their guests.

The scrub was surprisingly relaxing & I was like butter by the wrap. Veronica was extremely professional & has wonderful strong consistent pressure without pain. Spa facilities are wonderful. Dry & wet sauna, changing rooms & showers, lounge with a small reading library of books & magazines. If you're not a hotel guest, you can pay a little extra for use of the swimming pool & gym for the day. You can also walk around the hotel lobby & large gardens. I recommend just spending the day here. Next time I want to try the facial & hair treatments also.

Although not cheap, this has got to be the most luxurious spa I have ever been to, and I would definately recommend it for a special occasion, like a wedding or hen party. I did a facial treatment with their exclusive Rephase products and technology and the following week someone told me she could not believe i was in my late 30s, so I like to think that the facial played a role in this sudden youth, or perhaps the lady in question just needed glasses. In any case, the facial was relaxing and I do think my skin looks firmer as a result. The ambience at this 5* hotel is incredibly classy and the service is unbeatable. It is possible to purchase a day's access to the pool so that after the spa you can hang around here and in the verdant gardens, which really is an oasis in the middle of the city.

Ideally when I think of thermal spring, I imagine the cascading waterfalls in Saturnia. Since Grosseto is too far unless you are going for a few days, this place is an awesome alternative. Besides the location which is very close to the siena-firenze autostrada. The thermal springs itself is run well and is a decent price. On the weekend the price goes up to 15 euros unless you go after 7pm (on Saturdays they are open until 1am -seasonally). After being disappointed at other various thermal spring spas with their lukewarm water that wasn't at all special and normally just one "pool" with an average age of 50+ this is not what you will find at querciolaia. Instead you can expect many different pools to choose from, warm water that isn't lukewarm, lots of choice between areas and a clean spacious lockeroom. We ate at the cafe and loved our selections of local pecorino cheese and honey not to mention their dry white wine. I was in heaven. People are friendly and I chatted with many different Italians while there and I would advise going in both winter & warmer times of the year since it really a nice experience. They have a sauna and treatments which I have gotten yet (the sauna was a ridiculous price and honestly I didn't miss it). Really really like this place and its close to Florence so it's get my five star vote.

The staff speaks English well and making a reservation on the phone also was no problem. A kit with one-time use flipflops, underwear (and bra) and towel is included, you do have to pay 10 Euros though for the stylish black scrub mitten, which you get to keep afterwards to use at home. I have been to a other very fancy hammam before which was huge so this was very small compared. The overall atmosphere is nice, everything is super clean and lit nicely. The downside is, it's very small and there was only one masseuse so everyone kind of had to "wait in line". You first warm up on a hot stone seat, then you shower, steam room, jacuzzi, repeat. After doing 3 rounds of this for an hour we got kind of bored. Finally it was our turn but then again, my significant other had to wait until I was finished with my massage. We did get the regular washing and scrubbing along with a Rassoul massage which left the skin super smooth. All in all it was a nice experience with super friendly staff but kind of small and a little long for being in a small confined space like that. We did go home very relaxed though and and had a great night's sleep.

One of the indoor pools had pieces of toilet paper/tissue floating in it (shudder), and there was a lingering bad smell, like a dirty diaper. The layout of the facility is bizarre. There were elements on two different sides of the sprawling hotel and to get to each, you had to traipse across the hotel property, up and down steps, in your robe and slippers, dripping wet. In case you couldn't tell, I'd give this spot a hard pass. I hope I save someone else the disappointment -- spend that €50 elsewhere!

The food was delicious and service impeccable. Its only an hour drive to Florence and about an hour to Chianti. Honestly, you need to make this a priority on your next trip to Italy because you will NOT be disappointed. Also omg the Olive Oil they grow and produce is WOWZA!
