I scheduled a cleaning with Aspen Dental on 2.25.26 for a cleaning as a new patient. I completed the preliminary paperwork online, submitted my insurance information and had my previous dentist send over my dental file. When I arrived for my appointment I was told they could not open the encrypted medical file and that I needed to have the x-rays sent to myself to submit to Aspen directly. It is a MEDICAL OFFICE dealing with sensitive medical information and I cannot be the only patient to have their former provider send over an encrypted medical file due to HIPAA. After doing that, I was told they would not accept the X-rays because they were more than 1 year old, and that I needed to pay them nearly $300 to start my file with them for new X-rays because my insurance company would not pay. I reluctantly paid for the X-rays with my FSA card and asked for a detailed receipt. Then after keeping me there for nearly 3 hours to endure an entire sales pitch, I finally got my teeth cleaned. Three receipts later I NEVER got a DETAILED receipt to show that I paid for X-Rays. It only says I paid $272.00, but does not say for what (so now my FSA will not accept the charge because they need to know what the $272.00 charge was for, as all HSA and FSA companies do). In addition, they not only billed my insurance company for the cleaning, but also for the X-rays they said the insurance would not pay for! It was new insurance with my company and my first claim ever with them, so I knew they would pay as there was never a previous claim. ASPEN is double dipping. Now I cannot get in contact with anyone in the office to question this, get a copy of my X-rays that they were paid for TWICE and get a detailed receipt which was sketchy from the beginning. The call keeps getting routed to an answering service. This place is a total racket. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS OR MONEY. read more

I called and set an appointment and it went to a centralized office. They advised they had an appointment that afternoon, as a matter fact, they gave me options for two different times. I picked one of the times and then I changed my schedule at work arrived at my designated time. The person behind the counter stated that there is no one in the office to see patients today. I advised I had set the appointment and she stated that's just a help line and they don't know if no one's in the office. When I advise that the appointment center should be notified if they do not have someone on duty and they just kept stating "there's no way to do that." read more

My experience was horrible. They made me sign off on my dentures before i even tried them on, then when they didn't fit correctly, they made me sign a paper breaking the contract. They refused to comply with the contract and refused to honor their part of the contract that guaranteed the dentures for 5 years. The dentures never fit correctly and were always ill fitting. read more

Dr. Harrison was attentive and kind when analyzing my X-rays to ensure my crown fit correctly. She returned my crown to the lab for free because the fit did not support long-term jaw health. I appreciated this because the dentist could have installed the crown by shaving it down. The dental hygienist, Morgan, installed my temporary crown and meticulously cleared excess molding. She also provided temporary crown maintenance advice. The front office staff was polite at check-in and exit. The financing options were also helpful and supplemented my insurance. Thanks! read more

I had a great experience at this Aspen Dental. The dentist, Dr. Price was very nice and knowledgeable. The assistants and front desk were also very helpful. I was even able to get treated that same day. I like that they were able to answer all my questions about my treatment and payment. I haven't had the best experiences at the dentist in the past but this office has changed my perspective on dental visits. I would recommend this office to anyone and look forward to making this office my primary dental office. read more

The dentist and hygienist I saw were both knowledgeable and professional. Dr. S listened to my concerns and explained the treatment plan well. The only downside, at no fault of the dentist, was the person who schedules the patients appointments is off location and not well versed in how long each procedure takes. This caused a long wait time because there were so many new patient appointments one after the next and it takes time to see everyone. This overbooks the dentist and causes long wait times. When talking to the coordinator, Alexis, about my follow up appointment she also was professional and helped me prioritize what I needed and wanted completed. If I could do lower rating I would. It was obvious that the individuals that worked on me were not experience. I was there for to have my lower teeth extracted and a new set of dentures, I elected for the premium level and they are horrible. The uppers are permanent since I already had dentures. They look like a kids toy. The temporary bottoms didn't come close to fitting and I went back twice and finally just started doing it myself with an over the counter soft line. On top of the poor quality, their bill department is rude and unresponsive. I was over-charged and keep getting bills. They still owe me for my permanent bottom dentures which I am going to cancel and attempt to get a refund. DO NOT GO THERE! read more

I am not a fan of Aspen Dental. I called them approximately 6 weeks ago to inquire about self-pay prices for xrays, exam and cleaning. I thought I was calling a local number based on the area code but got the call center where a friendly but SUPER aggressive Aspen Dental representative refused to accept the fact that I wanted to check with a few other dental offices before scheduling. This should have been my first red flag. After much back and forth (Ma'am, if you find a better price elsewhere or you find an office that can see you sooner, just call us back to cancel.) The price was good but because my schedule changes so much from week to week and I wasn't sure I would be in town, I was reluctant to book something so far out. I finally accepted the appointment. Cut to today - I get my Google calendar reminder - and it dawns on me - that I have no idea which location my appointment is booked at. During the call, we discussed Austell, Dallas, Kennesaw and Woodstock. I try to call the number I'd called previously - and I get voicemail. I call the toll free number and talk to a rep that first tells me he can't find me in their system - but eventually does find my info and tells me I'm booked for the Austell location. At this point, I'm worried that I'm going to be late - but I rush out of of the house during this insane storm. Roads were flooded, traffic lights were out - but still I managed to make it there at my alloted 2:30pm appt time. I jump out of the car and make it to the door only to see a sign posted about calling them to inform them of my arrival. (I wonder what they do for folks who don't have cell phones and can't call from the car.) I make it back to the car - at which point my t-shirt is soaked to the point of transparency. I call them - not one, not two, but THREE times before someone answers. It's now 2:40pm. The representative acknowledges that I have an appt but can't confirm or check me in until I provide my address. I tell her that I gave my phone number, email and address when I made the appt. She says it's not in the system so I give her the information. I wait in their parking lot until 3:12pm and call back. This time, a different rep answers. I say "I'm going to need to reschedule because you guys are clearing running behind." She replies, "Yes. We are - but won't have any other appts until the end of August." Of course, I decline to make an appt. Wrapping up - I'm glad they are doing their part to help stop the spread of covid19 , but they appear to be very disorganized. The difficulty finding my appt info, no reminder text or email, etc. (IN FACT - an email advising patients about calling from the parking lot would have been GREATLY appreciated.) They appear to be short staffed and hard to reach on the phone. And I didn't discover this until after reading the other reviews - but the fact that they schedule one appointment for x-rays and exam and then ANOTHER appt for the cleaning - YIKES. If I could give minus 5 stars, I would or if I could give Zero stars, I would. Frustrations - billing. Poor office management. Poor business management. Poor communication. Their prices do not match what they originally stated. They STILL have not sent the required documentation for two services to my insurance company. They never answer their phone. My dad went into their office to receive some services for teeth pulling and a partial and the cost was over $5000.00! I had started to put a deposit down when I realized the charge for his partial I declined it. I told her this was too much for him to pay and so she said it would be cancelled. The deposit was never credited back to my account. I just found out she never cancelled it and now I am having issues with getting my money back. Aspen dental are crooks. I received a "deep cleaning " and was quoted one price. Then i get a bill for 300 more dollars. I have dental insurance but found out my insurance will only pay for one Quarter of my mouth. I had 3/4 of deep cleaning done. Paid almost 700. In end it was going to cost over 1000 dollars for a teeth cleaning! I think they are all about taking money and not taking good care if your dental needs. I picked Aspen because I thought they could help me to fix my imperfections with my smile. My consult was fine, I wanted to talk about getting a new pair of parcels. They suggested I have multiple deep cleanings, and a root canal before they even start the process with parcels. I told them I don't want all of that, regular cleaning and let that be it. Basically I was told NO!!! I asked to sign the waiver and was told by the dentist that she would not do my set of i didn't do what "they" recommended. I'm a grown person, you make suggestions I decide what's best for me. Long story short they want to do whatever they want for the big bucks and don't care about the patients. I found another dentist. Bad business!!!! Scheduled an appointment at 3:00pm today the 20th. I confirmed via email and phone call for a 3:00pm appointment. I also received a text reminder this morning stating the time of the confirmed appointment. When I called at 2:45 to let them know I would be there tight at 3:00 she informed me my appointment was scheduled at 2:30 and we would have to reschedule. I told her everything I mentioned above about confirming the 3:00 and she said I was wrong and that I was late for my appointment. These people are so incredibly nice because they likely don't want to write a negative review about what a scam they are. They will have you pull healthy teeth out of your mouth because they are so anxious to install they are Permanent dentures that are COMPLETELY Unnecessary. Also, because they offer no other services for missing teeth. Not even one missing tooth. They are crooks that will smiling face. Complete RIP OFF! I spent over $1300 today and my appointment was at 0930, I was not treated fairly, and the process is not user friendly. I was called from the waiting area to have x-rays first and see the doctor for a consultation, all this took about an hour so now we are somewhere around 10:30am. Fast forward- I was moved from x-ray into an exam room and was told the physician would come into the room and assess and review my x-rays and discuss goals and outcomes of my dental journey. That process was rather smooth the doctor was attentive and listened and she appeared to value my opinion while offering her advise. In an effort to move things forward I was moved to the first step in my dental plan which was a dental cleaning which is what I expressed as one of the concerns for the visit. I was next to a room in which the hygienist was seeing another client, this is where things started to dwindle downward. The doctor never explained that I had periodontal disease, she just stated I had bone loss and never specified the type of cleaning that I would need to move forward with the services I requested. Fast forward- I am waiting on the hygienists to enter the room which she does, and she did not speak to me or acknowledge herself prior to walking into the room to remove supplies from a cabinet for another client. I was actually moved out of the exam room by administrative staff to go back out front and do paperwork and discuss prices and make a payment before any service were rendered. I actually thought this process was backwards because they took my Health History and insurance information upon arrival and I was then moved to the back to begin my visit, only to be returned back to the front to pay and sign a whole bunch of forms to allow treatment while begin placed back in the waiting area. Let me remind you know it's about 11:15am and still no services have been rendered and I have been moved around the office like musical rooms. Long story short_ I paid before my services in full and never even got my teeth cleaned I left the office at 12:45pm from an appointment at 0930 and I never got my teeth cleaned by the hygienists to start my process, I paid the money in full and was forced to re-schedule my appointment due to the frustration of a backwards administrative plan and a hygienist with no people skills and a horrible attitude. I never said one word to the hygienists but I did speak with the doctor and she made a failed attempt to rectify the situation by intervening and speaking with the hygienists and to no avail I still left the facility without treatment and paid over $1300, I feel like as soon as they got my payment I was treated like a person without precedence, My time was completely disregarded by the entire staff, which the entire staff was black with the exception of one staff member whom was Caucasian. I myself am black, and I was mortified by the behavior displayed by professional degree achieving individuals. I am a nurse by profession and If I ever treat a patient the way the staff made me feel after getting my money I would reconsider what I do for a living because serving the public is not it. The font desk staff finally moved me to another exam room and its past noon at this point and this is my first visit and I have been moved to two different x-ray rooms and two different exam rooms and interestingly enough I am again next to the room that the hygienists is doing another cleaning and this is after she has been informed by the doctor that I was waiting, the look the hygienists gave me the two times she walked out of the room and looked directly at me in the next room was a look of frustration and annoyance, which did not settle right in my gut so I proceeded back to the front office where I was greeted by the administrative consultant and she asked me to step into a private room and begin to apologize about the hygienists behavior and offered me an opportunity to reschedule another day with a different hygienists that she said I would like much better than the one that was encountered during this visit. This was by far the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience and I have been living for 43 years and I have seen a lot of dentist and never have I been treated like this in any professional setting (ie:dental offc.) Please do your research because I thought I did and It was a terrible choice. I would not recommend this location of perhaps the company to anyone!! read more

Rip off!!!! I just left this location. I was told that I had periodontal disease and needed a special cleaning and treatment. These people wanted to charge me $1380 for antibiotics and $68 for parts of the deep cleaning not covered by my insurance. They refused to offer me a different less expensive antibiotic and refused to allow me to have services without this ridiculously priced medication. So I spent 2 hours at the dentist and walked out without my cleaning or getting my cavities fixed. All this clinic cares about is money and kickback for selling a $1380 2 week course of antibiotics. I'm seriously disgusted. I asked for a copy of my x-rays and was told the machine was broken and that the other option would take a 30 day turnaround to get them. Fortunately I contacted the Douglasville location and they were happy to make me my copies and they are going to have the regional manager call me. Hopefully this can be resolved. $1380 for antibiotics, never in my life have I been so pissed. UPDATE: it's now been 9 days since my visit. I've still not had my teeth cleaned or cavities repaired. Vonda the regional manager was supposed to see about getting me in to see the owner of the austell location yesterday, but she never called me back. I called Cigna today to try and see if there is anything they can do from their end. I'd go to a different practice, but my options are very limited with my DHMO. Always unorganized and unknowable about insurance coverage, was informed that they didn't accept my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. Checked with my employer and they do accept my insurance. So I had to file a claim to refund my money and still haven't gotten a response back since October of 2020. Went in today for wisdom tooth examination and couldn't see me because of "understaffed". This location is always giving excuses or trying to find something to cover themselves. Won't be going to this location anymore. read more

The crown of one of my front teeth popped off and I went to Aspen Dental in Austell to ask for recementing. The sign outside says emergencies and walkins welcome. They started off very friendly and nice and once I've developed a problem, only for a simple crown prep due to a former crown that came off in which for months I've had no pain or problems. The dentist drilled my tooth too far and claimed she didn't, after informing them that prior to any drilling or services that I require antibiotics. Now as a result I'm still in pain constantly, have to take antibiotics, Ibuprofen and will have to see a Endodontist that I never needed to see. I will never return to another Aspen Dental because of my experiences; given, this is the second location I've been to. The first Aspen Dental in Norcross, GA was very rude and unprofessional and now this one in Austell, GA created a problem and upon getting answers and following-up on a never received email to confirm stopping production on a new crown given, I'm still having issues of pain and again needing to see an Endodontist, the staff was very rude, unprofessional and I WILL NEVER RETURN FOR ANY SERVICES EVER.....PLEASE BYE PAST THIS PLACE....
