They are great people, good at getting emergency patients in. The down fall is of if you dont have top notch insurance it is the most expensive place I have ever been. Also with two teeth rotting down into the nerve and they only gave me advil 800! When I have allready been Taking that it wasn't helping. How can you offer emergency dental services and not to be licensed to prescribe somthing a little stronger for extreme cases , very disappointed. read more

Aspen Dental in Defiance Ohio is the worst place to go!!! Their customer service is poor at best with no compassion for their patients. They love to take advantage of people who are in pain and vulnerable by selling them the Care Credit Card and then maxing out the card before any work has even been done. They misquote prices to justify the pricing, and when you point out the overcharges they refuse to reimburse for the overcharge. By the time they reimburse you for the overcharge the interest rate on the card is at top interest rate and begins to ruin your credit for services never received!!! I had been suffering for months with swollen lymph nodes in my neck and tongue that rubbed on my feet causing ulcers. My tongue was also covered in painful red patches with pimples like from eating too much citrus fruit. I was struggling to eat solids and talk because of the swelling and pain, living on liquids and soft foods while using orajel and Tylenol My medical doctor gave me antibiotics and a mouthwash medication but it still persisted so he recommended I see a dentist. I got an appointment quickly at Aspen Dental in Defiance, OH. The dentist took X-rays and did an exam and referred me to the surgeon who was there that day. The surgeon decided to move some patients around to get me in his schedule that day after I had qualified for some financing. The surgeon asked me where I got my previous root canals done and the cost. He said they looked real nice and that it wasn't going to cost me that much today for the root canal he wanted to redo. I thought, "He just said they looked good and now he's going to redo one, take the cap off and put in a temporary filling to come back later and recap it because I could have debris underneath the cap he said since it was loose." I agreed because he said the pain should go away from this procedure and he would prescribe penicillin for the infection. Little did I know he was like a lawyer going through retainer and used all the credit I had been approved for which was almost as much as I paid for 3 root canals and caps at a different dentist. He said once I get more money I can come back for the cap. I HAD JUST BEEN SCAMMED out of all my money that day by this business. I thought they were being nice and working me in their schedule for my emergency but it was just to get a hold of my loan monies. And I still needed my regular cleaning and a few fillings which I took the loan out for but now I couldn't do those things either because I needed more money they said. I came up with the funds for the fillings and the dentist said he could refer me to a surgeon for the root canal issue. I agreed to go to another clinic over an hour away to find out they referred me to the same surgeon. I told him about the severe pain I had been having and he said he wished I would have came in sooner. Then he told me he saw a cracked tooth next to the tooth he had redone and started apologizing to me about not seeing that before. He tried to make a deal with me but I was unsure of his deals anymore because fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, his deals weren't fully explained financially so I didn't take his deal and I left in pain. I went to see my doctor again and told him I found out it was the whitener in my toothpaste causing my tongue sores and swelling and that the dentist didn't solve things only added to my pain. My doctor wasn't too keen on the way this company handled things with me and felt poorly about the dental insurance programs in general. I'm now left with an incomplete root canal with a temporary filling by the surgeon. And poorly filled teeth by the dentist because it feels like there is hardly any filling there, like they're trying to get by with the smallest amount. I have never gone to a dentist office to come home in more pain than I am now with the constant throbbing, aching,sensitivity and pain. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Well what can I say. The folks at Aspen Dental are fantastic. From the receptionist to all of the techs and most of all Dr Hampton. They are all considerate and nice to talk to.
