My tv was playing an old musical, so I watched some great dance numbers. Dr. Jones and her team were very thorough, and I felt seen and cared for. I also learned a few things from the hygienist that I thought I knew, like the proper way to floss...it was a whole experience, and a great one. We're bringing the whole family here.

It was like going to the dentist that I had 30 years ago....low tech for sure. So I was happy to see Wood Creek build an office nearby in Landrum, SC. What did I do? I got appointments for my guinea pigs....errr, I mean my kids....to get check ups there so I could scope out the place (is that wrong?). The first take....this is a very nice, high tech, modern, full service dental office with a really friendly and attentive staff. Doctors are great, too. Have seen two of the three of them now. On the last visit, my oldest daughter had to have some teeth pulled (recommended by her orthodontist) and they did a good job with the procedure and with her. Oh, I should add that our orthodontist (who is really great) spoke very highly of Wood Creek as well. For those of you that get nervous going to the dentist, there are even waterfalls inside and out to calm your nerves and help you think soothing thoughts. Or, there's a bar in town if you need pre-treatment :D Now that the kids survived, it's my turn and I'm feelin like its gonna be a good experience.

Dr. Fleming fitted me for an occlusal guard that has provided me so much relief since I've had it. I really have no particular favorite because none have left anything to be desired - they are ALL great! The office staff always seem pleasant, professional, friendly, efficient, and even appreciative of my business. They have customarily had the proverbial bar set rather high, but I believe today they elevated that bar across the board. In particular, the cleaning I received AND the checkout process couldn't have been better. Dr. Hendrick and Miss Starlyn have seemingly assembled a top-notch team of people that should certainly stand out in their field. I do not dread dental appointments like I once did. I appreciate these people and am glad to have found them several years ago!

During the consultation, they took the time to explain everything to her. She was able to watch videos and even see the tools in person. During all of her visits, they made sure to explain what they would be doing beforehand and she looked forward to her visits. She now has had her braces removed and loves showing of her new smile. After posting, one friend informed me that she had made an appointment for the Thursday after New Year's, and i had two others ask me questions. not only do i have a great place to go for dentistry, but wow, i found ministers of Christ to our community, and that's exactly what Christ wants us to do! My FB post: I found my new dentist today! Hounshell Dentistry in Shelby is amazing! I went in for a crown after snapping my molar at dinner last night and I was in awe. I saw Dr. Paul this morning and did a "meet & greet" of sorts. When I went back this afternoon, he told me he had prayed for me during his lunchtime. :) (where do you ever find that?) We talked about his dental ministry, his family, my family, and random odds and ends. His staff is like no other and absolutely precious! What a super team. I would highly recommend this office! I was so at ease. I can't wait to take Autumn in for her next cleaning. (My daughter.)
