Wow! How the mighty have fallen. I was there a few years back and it was wonderful, I believe the management has changed. I made an appt a week in advance. The place opens at 8:30 I got there at 8:15 and was let it, I was the first one there. Then 4 other people came in and were taken back I was still sitting there. 8:45 I was taken back and at 9:20 I left because I hadn't been seen by a dentist. Other problems: The front desk person, although very polite, is giving out my social security number to my insurance company in front of everyone in the lobby, I guess Aspen Dental has never heard of "identity theft." After coming home I found that to confirm your appt they send an email and you must acknowledge that email-why not just send a text since you don't call people. They advertise my appt but when some lady came in she was informed "Yah, you need an appt, sorry no one told you." When I did go back, the dental assistant looked at me like I was crazy when I told her why I was there. I guess Martian is her first language. It was terrible. Wasted1.5 hours of work for nothing. Had a wonderful experience here. Staff is professional, personable, and friendly! The Doc was meticulous about his work and kept going until he thought it was perfect. And Kim! Awesome Kim. Had a badly infected 1st molar on right side. Was pretty sure that I had an abscess. Reached out to Aspen for an appointment and was able to be seen at the Goodyear office. All the front office personnel were friendly and professional. Filled out forms and then had X-rays taken. The dentist did an exam and was able to show me on the X-rays where the problem was located and it indeed was an abscess. She then told me what my options were and that someone in the front office would give me the cost. We then discussed antibiotics and I told her that I have a problem with them because of digestive issues. I gave her the name of two that I had taken in the past which didn't cause problems for me. She was not familiar with them and told me she would need to look them up. I also asked about pain relievers. I assumed that a narcotic would be called for and I had already indication on one of the forms that I was allergic to codeine but told her that I could tolerate one that was considered a very low dose one. She immediately said that she didn't prescribe that type of drug. No explanation given why. She said that over the counter pain relief should be all that I needed. So I left the office knowing what my options were for treatment and knowing that an antibiotic had been phoned in to my pharmacy. Because a pain reliever had not been prescribed I spent a night in in Hell. Neither the Tylenol nor Aleve took care of the pain and all night I had unrelenting, throbbing pain. Do your pocketbook a favor go somewhere else. Husband went into having partial replaced and they want to redo upper a lower costing us over $5000. The sad thing is they know the partial would not last as his remaining teeth were in bad shape. So now insurance will not pay as it has only been 3 yrs. What a racket? We are on a fixed income but they don't care. Suggest you go somewhere else that cares. read more

Very disappointed with visit, if you are in pain i recommend u go some were else the way they operate at that location u have to signed a contract for treatment in order to get any prescriptions that the dentist already prescribed to the office manager will not give u prescription unless u signed a contract first and agree to get treatment it sounds like strong arm to me but just beware of there practices there i already report them to the azbbb read more

I'm very disappointed with the billing deptaren't at Aspen Dental. I over payed for all my visits, and was told I had a credit, then they tried to charge for work I already paid for. In the end I had a credit of over 100.00, and now they're saying I don't have a credit. Coincidentally, it's one of the different amounts they said I owed them. I have two different statements, one of the pre-treatment i paid, then one they said I paid. More than half of the amounts had been changed. I over paid by 400.00 dollars, and was owed over 100.00. I will never go there again, it's too bad too because Dr. Ewell does a great job. read more

My dentist and hygienist were really kind and helpful. However, I recently had a terrible experience with the front desk assistant. She was extremely rude. She became extremely defensive when I asked about a charge on my last visit, and threatened me by saying I would receive a bill to my home if it is not paid in that instant. One of the finance team personnel noticed and offered to help me look through everything after my procedure. I simply wanted a review and was not refusing to pay. Aspen Dental has seen able to accommodate me immediately, twice for emergency needs even though I have not used them in the past for my dental needs. If I could give no stars I would. I'm not one to ever give bad reviews but I've never had a bad experience with a dentist until I went here. I just recently moved to Arizona and I'm really disappointed in the way I was treated and spoken to. About 2 weeks ago I went to my dentist back in my home state for a cleaning and we ended up finding two cavities that needed to be filled they were Miner so my dentist said when I get out to Arizona to just make sure that I get them filled I also have a tooth that is needing to be pulled because it grew in at a wrong angle and it's just not needed. So coming into Aspen Dental I already knew what needed to be done and was just ready to get X-rays and set up appointments to get those two teeth filled and the other tooth pulled. When meeting with the doctor he told me that I needed to get a cleaning done I proceeded to tell him I just had a cleaning 2 weeks ago so that would not be necessary he looked at me like I was lying and was in shock that I just recently got a cleaning. He then started looking at my x-rays and very loudly was stating what the fuck is wrong with your teeth. To make a long story short this was the worst experience I've ever had and I will not be returning to Aspen Dental. read more

Dishonest business! I came for a dental exam and was 'evaluated' to need a deep cleaning estimated at $1600, my cost at $700 with insurance. I couldn't believe it. It went to another dentist for a second opinion and my gums were evaluated to be mildly inflamed requiring only a routine cleaning that was fully covered by my insurance. I would never go to this establishment again since all they're concerned with is making money and fleecing their customers for the bottom dollar. read more

Suggested treatments not necessary and very expensive - a second opinion afterwards discovered how little was actually necessary. 18 year old son went in one day after I did for annual cleaning and they bullied him into pre-paying 1/2 of $600 worth of work not scheduled for two weeks - and then we found out the work also wasn't necessary. Took two months to be reimbursed for something not even completed only pre-paid for. Go elsewhere unless you want to be suggested treatments that aren't necessary, but expensive. read more

Would think twice about using aspen dental. All about what they can get out of insurance. $2500 and missed time at work I need to have tooth removed by another dentist cause the work they did caused to much bone loss. They missed a pocket during cleaning as well and that advance the bone loss. Can't get the money back but I can leave a review on my experience with the Goodyear location. read more

The regular staff at this location were very nice and friendly. However, the oral surgeon who extracted two of my teeth was not at considerate at all. He didn't care that I was in pain and scared. I kept telling him it hurt and he ignored me. He just kept yanking on my teeth until it came out. Then when he was done, he dropped his tools and walked off. He said nothing to me after he was done. I felt like i annoyed him or something. He had no personal skills or concern for me. I might return for routine cleanings, but that man will never touch me again. read more

I went in for a checkup. I got X-rays and a consultation of what I needed and what it will cost. All employees were knowledgeable and friendly and the dentist took the time to explain my options. I have never been so poorly treated as I was at Aspen dental talk about high pressure techniques I came out with a 10,000 bill assured I could finance it. It was going to cost me 1200 dollars for a cleaning I don't need and a high dollar electric toothbrush plus I waited so long and no one seemed to know what they were doing. One of the worst experiences I ever had at a dentist. I had an abscess in a lower tooth and when I explained I wanted a root canal the short female dentist insisted on an extraction. I grind my teeth ap the lower front are short, I had root canals in the others by my dentist in Chicago, she refused to do a root canal only an extraction, she seemed to be in a hurry and that was an easy out. I agreed to the extraction, she gave shots of novicane and within minutes started to extract the tooth the pain was excruciating and I yelled to stop, she injected more novicane and went back to pull the tooth immidiately I yelled again but she continued. My lower lip was swollen immidiately after she pulled the tooth told me not to smoke or drink thru a straw and left. It was my first and last visit to Aspen dental, they should hire experienced dentists or people who understand schedules an put in the time to an individual patient. Dan K. read more

HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE..it .was my first time there i was in alot of pain seen the dentist and he prescribed some meds for me and told what the problem was so when i seen the office manager PATRICIA to explain to me how much my insuarance will cover if i decide to get treament she said I CANNOT GIVE U THE PRESCRIPTION FOR UR PAIN MEDICE UNTIL U SIGN OR PUT DOWN A PAYMENT FOR A TREAMENT PLAN .. i was like u want me to commit to something b4 u will give me the prescription u have in ur hand that the doctor already fill out to give to me ...so i reported her to the bbb of az and to her corprate office for trying to strong arm me to sign a contract b4 she will give me my prescriptions.....please avoid that location read more

Took my 6 year old in for a cleaning and X-rays today only to be told when we got there that they don't do dental work on children. They referred us to another dentist but why wouldn't you tell me that information before I wasted my time coming to your office for the appointment? read more

Tricare people stay away! They do a fine job at what they do. I would rate their actual dental work a 4. HOWEVER, I have Tricare dental and they told me they accept it but they are NOT in the network so you are paying about double what you pay at a dentist in network. When I mentioned looking elsewhere for a service I was told private practice is typically more expensive so might as well stick with them. That was false. I feel mislead now that know the information they were not sharing was to keep me and my money there. read more

Had a crown repaired at this office in November 2013. I was surprised they charged so little to do this ($25) but i also scheduled cleanings and other work to be done. The same crown fell out again in May 2014, BUT THIS TIME i do not require other work, so I was told it would be 4 times as much to re-cement the crown in. By the way, I was put into a dental chair......NOBODY looked at the crown, or my teeth, I never saw a doctor, oh and my appointment was moved 1 day before i was set to come when they called my wife's phone, not mine????? If you are thinking of making an appointment at this office, I would make sure they explain what they are charging, and that your appointment will be when they set it. Will never come back to this location or any aspen dental for that matter. Simply wanted my teeth cleaned and didn't want a exam. They said because it had been 8 months I would need a exam again. I came in anyway to get a exam and was first told it would cost $65, thinking it would be covered by my insurance (cleanings are). Then as they tried to bring me back to get the exam started, I stopped them to have them figure it out and then he office manager came up and said it would be $35. i absolutely hate going to the dentist to begin with, so the whole point I signed up with aspen was to not go through this kinda hassle. I finally realize that t being the size it is, is just trying to milk the customer and their insurance for as much money possible.(setting up multiple visits when all I wanted was a cleaning) I'll take my business elsewhere as there is a dentist it seems like on every corner. read more
