Just awful, I had a good experience with a location in Rochester in the past so when I moved to Horseheads I decided to give this office a try. First off, all of their locations are privately owned and 'Aspen Dental Management" provides staffing. This one is owned by Dr. Vikramjit Anand and judging by publicly available data I can see why he wouldn't want his name on the door. I had a root canal performed by the sloppiest, rudest, and roughest orthodontist I can imagine, he works there part time so he just has pelican cases full of supplies and instruments in the hallway. I do't know his name because he didn't have the decency to even introduce himself before he dove at me with a needle full of novocaine. After the root canal they stuffed some cheap putty into my hollowed out tooth and sent me on my way without a temporary crown or anything to protect the tooth. I was just told to be careful eating. It then took two months for me to receive my crown which was installed by a technician and never even checked by a dentist, needless to say it doesn't fit correctly and has to be replaced. After all of this they decided not to honor their quoted pricing and are charging me several thousand dollars more than I initially agreed to. I have sent them multiple letters via certified mail as you cannot get a billing manager on the phone and corporate claims they cannot correct billing issues. Looks like the state AG office is going to receive a complaint instead. These people are the the lowest form of life, I thought politicians were bottom tier but I have been proven wrong. read more

I had my lower wisdom tooth removed, and they just gave me antibiotics and nothing for pain, it's been 2 weeks and tried to reach out to Aspen at least a half dozen times... to get my mouth looked at, I showed up had to wait 2 hours and still didn't get in. the manager and staff are clearly incompetent. They get you in and out as quick as they can and will not give a crap how they do it. Save yourself some pain, time and the crappy attitudes the staff has! I went for my first visit for an implant. They told me that would be covered by my insurance because I just had x-rays. I left them with over a $4,000 check so I could get my implant the next week. The implant visit arrived. I walked into the office with a doctor who told me he couldn't do the implant because I didn't have enough bone. The appointment lasted less than 5 minutes. Now, not only do they have thousands of dollars of my money, they're trying to charge me $400 for the second visit. I've called 3 times about this issue. They always say somebody will call me and I'll get a refund. Two months later and I haven't seen a dime and they keep giving me the run around. This is a horribly unprofessional company!!! Worst place to have an actual "appointment" at, doesn't seem to understand the meaning of "appointment" (an arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place.) I had a 1:30 "appointment" I was told to be EARLY, got there @ 1:00, mind you my "appointment" was JUST A COST CONSULTATION, no procedures, just needed to sit down with somebody and figure out cost, I would think little Miss "I'm an office manager" could have handled that simple task, but no. Waiting room was PACKED, no A/C (office girls must have had some though because they were all sweater wearing) definitely over book, no place to sit Meanwhile my 1:30 Appt. was bypassed by the 2:00. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE My sister was there yesterday for implants in Horseheads, NY office. The dentist shot up her mouth multiple times to begin the process but he hit a blood vessel with one of the shots and she needed to be transported to the hospital via ambulance - the dentist made sure she was brought out the back door so other patients couldn't see. Still no follow-up call from the dentist to see how she is doing. When she was crying from pain while in the Aspen Dental office, the dentist told her - "well, you do get migraines and have sinus issues". Outrageous - no care at all for her or their mistake. read more

I had an appointment at 7am today for a cleaning. It takes me 45 minutes to get there driving. Since last wednesday they have called me, texted me and emailed me several times to confirm my appointment except this morning. I left my house at 6:10am and arrived there at Aspen Dental at 6:55am. Enter the building and walk up to reception desk to have her say, "I'm sorry but our only hygienist has called off today.". No back up hygienist or Dentist could have done a simple cleaning. I wouldn't have been so disappointed if I didn't have quite the drive to get there. Rescheduled but I'm not going to get my Hope's up. If it were me that just didnt show up they would have charged me anyway. Not sure how I feel about this situation. read more

Had Three root canals and crowns done here. Two have failed in a little over a year. One crown fell off the next day. Had to go back and have it put back on. They are over booked to expensive and do low quality work. Financing is outrageous. Avoid at all costs. Very dissatisfied!!!! read more

Had an appointment scheduled on Friday March 24 th at 7:30 for a broken tooth. My regular dentist just retired and i needed to see a dentist. I got there at around 7:10 and waited for around 45 minutes to an hour. Got my xrays, which i know my insurance probably wont pay because i had them done 3 months ago at my regular dentist. After that, they took me to the dentist chair where i waited another 15 or so minutes before dentist came in to see me. Dentist decided i needed a crown, but hygienist stated the person that does them wouldnt be in the office for another 20 minutes. She gave me the option of either waiting, person wasnt going to be there till 9:00 (after being there for almost an hour and a half) or leaving and someone would call me. Unfortunately, they showed me to the door after told them i had to go to work and couldnt wait any more. I called and left a message on Saturday the 25th and no one has called me back. They said someone would call me and let me know prices when i was there on Friday. Not a good first impression for me. love my little Kayla at the Elmira office . She is amazing she has fixed my bottom dentures and I can actually chew solid foods now . Everyone told me the bottom dentures are not so easy to get use to but Kayla fixed that problem for me ! All I can say is she actually makes going to the dentist very easy ! My girlfriend won't leave a review but I will. She went there with the complaint of a tooth ache and they advised a root canal or to simply have it pulled out. She opted to have it pulled. She came home crying and told me how the dentist had held her lower jaw open with a firm hold and pulling it down with unnecessary force that even the dental assistant questioned him the whole time to "ease up". While taking the tooth out with his other hand, he proceeded to yank back and forth violently. Again, with the assistant wide eyed and now speechless. It's now going on her 2nd day since her tooth was pulled and she said keeping the tooth in would feel less painful than how she feels now. I'm not sure if it's the particular dentist or the whole office that practices this way, but I'm hoping this review saves someone the same pain my girlfriend is currently going through. read more

I had broken my bottom denture while eating cashews. I called and got an appointment in two days. The personally at Aspen were very helpful. There was a two hr. waiting period to have them fixed. But when I returned in two hrs. They had done a wonderful job on the repair and they fix better than before. They were helpful in getting my parent right in quick, we paid up front which seemed to move things along. The only issue was misinformation on the the model/molds we had to pay for dentures, we were told one thing, another happened. Misinformation makes the experience seem a little off but we did get the dentures fast. read more

both my parents went here thinking they were reliable however they turned out to be awful. they wasted three hours of their time along with not even doing what they went in for, it might've been okay if they got the cleaning that they requested. all they did was talk money and obviously put that first above their patient care. the lack of communication between employees was atrocious like the dentist saw them and did not do anything to help them even. the workers were new and that is understandable however there is no reason for the lack of professionalism. will never be going back or will never recommend it. read more

They got my son in quickly for appointment. Establishment was very clean. Bathroom clean. Waiting area had about 15 people waiting, usually a red flag they are double booking. We waited about 30 minutes before going in. Xrays were done and then he saw dentist. Dentist and assistant both were courteous and knowledgeable. My son ended up having to be referred due to needing a root canal. Upon finishing, dentist used germ X rather than hand washing, at least what I saw. Was a little disturbed by that. Prices were quite high as well I thought. Didn't even get a goody bag like I do at mine. read more

There are several problems with this dental office: 1. Dentists who do their job and basically disappear before you can ask any questions. At the end of a dental treatment, you feel like a product on an assembly line fitted with crowns and moved to the office for payment. 2. Outright rude office staff. I had to schedule a multi-hour, big bucks oral surgery, and the office reps reply to repeated attempts to extract some details of the preparation needed from my end was: "Oh yeah. You can't drive after the surgery". 3. Long wait times even with appointment. 4. No organized treatment plan; and worse yet, the treatment plan seems to be managed by the office staff, instead of the dentist ! 5. There is no one personal dentist who can deal with your case and answer your questions with some degree of patience. Each time its a new person, who comes and vanishes. read more

Have had no problem going here about three years. They schedule my husband and me at same time for our cleanings to save us time. The staff are all so friendly and efficient. Have not had a long wait to get in They do take walk ins and emergencies so always be prepared to wait. read more

This place is a joke! It started last fall when I went to see about getting dentures. The front desk male employee gave a rundown of the packages which were available and said I'd have my dentures after 3 appointments. WRONG!!! It was after 7+ appointments and me having to drive 50 miles for each appointment. They gave me incorrect information about what type denture I was getting when I agreed to the service. Only at the end did I find this out and they thought I was going to pay more money to get what I originally agreed to. NO WAY!!! They are not practice social distancing. Walk-ins are still coming and going all the time. They have no hand sanitizer available, nor is anyone disinfecting the restrooms or outside/inside door handles. Masks are not being worn by front desk employees nor the employees providing financial information to potential customers. No protective shields for patients are in existence. They schedule appointments and then when you get there, they say they made a mistake and make you come back another day. (They're double booking) They tell you a procedure will take maybe 2 hours but it takes over 5 hours. Front desk employees are very rude and have negative attitudes. They sit there and talk about their personal lives rather than assisting customers. They certainly need some customer service training. When I asked the guy at the desk if they had WIFI, he said they can't share the password. Who doesn't have WIFI available for waiting customers in this day and age?? A friend tried to tell me of her experience over 5 years ago but I didn't listen. Nothing has changed. In fact it's gotten worse. Don't waste your time and money going there. Find a dentist in Binghamton instead (they take Medicaid and make you feel like a human being, not just another number). read more

Dentists are fine but their office management is out of control. No ability to see patients on time and/or inform them of delays BEFORE they show up. I have even called before showing up to ask them if they are running late, only to be told "no", but then when I arrived they were horribly behind. Last month my 7 pm "30 minute" teeth cleaning appointment did not get me out of there until 9 pm! Just now I had a 1 hr appointment at 8 am and did not get out until 10:30! These episodes are not the first, as I have been going here for 5 years and it has gone from bad to worse. So basically you have to add 1-2 hours onto what they tell you about your appointments. If you have lotsa time to waste, it's fine. They just moved in the past year and put TV's everywhere to soften the pain of waiting so long once they get you in a chair. read more

This place is not even worth a star! Surgeon was very rude and very unprofessional! Front desk lady is rude too, doesn't even bother to smile at you and say hi. Made an appointment...waited for a month to get one...drove an hour to get there just to tell you "ohhh by the way your dentist is not here, can we reschedule you" Yeah, they left a voicemail about cancellation, aaand the phone number they tried to call is not even the correct number! I love the hygiegenists, but it takes so long to see the dentists that i have to bring things to do while i wait.

Good for big issues but once ou hit routine care it becomes reschedule after reschedule. Find a local dentist!
