For the past 15 years I have been receiving outstanding, quality service from Aspen Dental. I go to the Lady Lake location because i feel at home there. I can't say enough nice things about the staff. Wyatt, Maria, Dr Hanoman, and Sabrina are top of the line in giving quality care to me every time. There is never a charge for a missed appointment and they get you in within the next few days. As far as price they are just about the same as every other dentist. I highly recommend them. read more

I needed a crown (porcelain top only) because it had chipped off after 30 years. The porcelain they put in not only does not match my other crowns but they are charging me for a procedure that they will not identify. Don't come here unless you want to have no idea who is doing your dental work and plan to get scammed. Extremely unprofessional office; no introductions from any hygienist, dentist, etc. ..."office manager" doesn't bother making an introduction either, and just jumps right in pretending to 'care' about you and then further convince you to spend hundreds of dollars. If you wan to feel like your buying a car instead of taking care of your dental health, this is the place for you! ...Also, hope you don't plan on having a quick visit, even just for a simple exam. I originally went there to get my bottom denture relined due to bone shrinking. Was told no, had to get new uppers and lowers to the tune of $2800. They made the complete set and the bottom bit perfectly, the uppers was so far away from fitting it hurt trying to put my gums into it!! They had a young lady grind away for over 30 minutes and when it would fit onto my gums said to go home and eat, it it still hurts come back for additional "adjustments" Two more visits and still not a good fit. A office doc of some sort came and looked and said the upper was NOT the same style as my original and the GM said they would make a NEW set! A week later they tried my original new denture into my mouth and a remake of the original. After that I told them to give me my money back and they were stalling until I started raising my voice. Stay away. If I could give Aspen 0 stars, I would. I went in March 2023, paid for the treatment plan and then saw a different doctor every time I visited. On one occasion I left Aspen in tears from the crass treatment I received from the doctor of the day, who treated me like he was looking into the mouth of a horse instead of a human being by the violent way in which he treated my jaw! I thought I was having a crown put in. They damaged the post when they took the provisional crown out (good job, Aspen), and now I need an extraction of the tooth. And here's where it gets really bad. They worked on the wrong tooth! They actually damaged a good tooth that had already had a root canal and crown in place years ago! I can't decide if they're incompetent or crooks. Their newest dentist did an updated treatment plan and the tooth they were supposed to work on doesn't appear on the treatment plan at all. Why? Because the tooth is healthy! Anyway you look at it, by intent or incompetence, I lost a perfectly good tooth, which would have happened anyways if they had worked on the one in the treatment plan becabecause,use according to their new dentist, there's nothing wrong with that one either! Anyone know of a good lawyer? Nothing less than a full refund and compensation for the tooth that was damaged by crass error will do. read more

Husband got new teeth, (dentures, not implants that he thought he was getting). He picked them up on Tuesday. Wednesday he called to go in and have them adjusted, They told him they were unavailable until March 24th. ONE MONTH LATER, but he could try to walk in and get them adjusted. He went on Friday to get them adjusted. Just to be told that they were too busy, he could try again on Monday. Got home, called and asked to speak with manager, was told she was in a consultation, never got a call back. After spending 11,000.00, I believe they should make some sort of effort to help current patients to be able to actually use them. Maybe they should give away blenders with their service. read more

Don't go there unless you want to have a terrible experience. Made appointment to get teeth cleaned my 1st time there and they refused unless I had an expensive procedure done 1st. I have always had my cleaned every 6months without any problems. Even the dentist said I had good teeth but hygienist said I couldn't have them cleaned unless I had a deep tissue procedure done. They put a crown on the wrong tooth and now I am having trouble getting them to refund my insurance so I can get the correct tooth done. Apparently the dentist did not notice that the tooth that needed to have a crown had a whole in it and crowned the wrong tooth. Good luck trying to talk to someone about any insurance problems. Don't go here, because they have staff members (the receptionist) that don't take the time to contact a patient about a balance left on an account before a procedure is supposed to be done but wait until the patient arrives to say they owe money, and then say if they don't pay at a certain time they'll have put send it to collections, and there have been times the dental assistants/dentist don't take time to give a pamphlet or a print out of instructions on the aftercare of a certain dental procedure. I came in for a dental procedure and Dr. Pimentel didn't explain the aftercare after it was completed and the dental assistants didn't say goodbye or anything as I walking out the door. There needs to be better training with the staff members in handling stuff from explaining procedures and billing information. read more

This office has some serious issues. Evidently they can't keep staff because they take patients late because they are down a hygienist. And then for the follow up six month cleaning appointment, they cancelled it without calling the patient. They also won't see a patient again if the patient disagrees with their treatment plan. If they weren't the only local dentist that participates with my insurance, I would definitely change providers. But I'm stuck there. Office staff was amazing!! I have Invisalign and it's going great. They had the best price and the dentist is wonderful. I have to include the office Manager Stacey, as she is always smiling and jumping in to help the office run smoothly. This office is so busy but very personal and friendly. Aspen Dental is a terrible dental practice. I have heard this same things from so many people. They treated me poorly and I also found out later that they overcharged me. When I went to get a procedure done, I flinched *slightly* when I saw the needle. The periodontist immediately told me "Well, we can't continue with this procedure because it will not only jeopardize you, it will jeopardize us also." (yeah right) So after waiting about 10 years to get this done, they made me leave the office without doing the procedure. We travel fulltime and are currently staying for a month in the Villages. We wanted to take advantage of that block of time to get our preventive cleaning taken care of. The website mentions general dentistry but I should have read further because the details indicate that provides a comprehensive plan. When we left, we had not had our teeth cleaned, but had received a detailed estimate of what we "needed" to have done. The estimate for my "cleaning" was approximately $3,500. Very disappointed with the billing and explanation of services. Both are very vague and missleading. It was not made clear to me that it would be OVER $500 for a teeth cleaning. It's all a scam. They guaranteed me that my infected tooth would be removed that day or the next. No up front cost, free exams and X-rays too for my first visit. No dental insurance? No problem I was told, we'll work with you. Since I could not find a dentist who would do an extraction during the coronavirus outbreak, I was so grateful. Not only did they not pull the tooth but the dentist flew in and told me he was not trained to pull my tooth, then told me to go to the oral surgeon and flew out of the room. That cost I found out would be $700.00 plus. When I was leaving, I repeatedly asked the dentist for a penicillin script then, but he went ballistic and kept talking over me. He didn't appear to be a real dentist at all. So I was charged $84.00 for my first visit, no tooth extraction and no penicillin for the infection. It was apparent, they never intended to do anything. I love this place- I was a new patient who had broken my tooth. They were able to see me last minute and have it fixed the next day. The hygienists are all super nice and the dentist who helped me, Dr. Pimentel, was very professional and helped me understand the procedure. 1 star is too many. The workers are nice enough but Aspen Dental on the whole is a money making operation only. I was new in Florida and wasn't able to find a small dentist so I went to Aspen. They push the Exam and X-rays so hard (this makes money). Not only did they do X-rays and an exam they did this scan (they are looking for something to charge more for) that was invasive. The dentist looked 12 years old and she declared my teeth in need of a 'deep cleaning' because 4 of my teeth were labeled as a '5'. I got over that though I am meticulous about my teeth. I go for their 'Periodontal Cleaning' aka deep cleaning and they want to numb my gums for 4 teeth (more money) and the 12 year looking dentist is doing the cleaning. It took less than 10 minutes and it was expensive and the office staff told me I have excellent insurance (a sign they are going to charge you more). THEN the office lady said she would be in touch when the 'special' cleaning would be. Well I forgot and remembered today so I called. That cleaning was in February and no one ever got back to me because they don't have a hygienist. WTH why didn't you tell me that in February? Office lady today told me to contact another Aspen so I did. You know what they told me? We can't schedule for a cleaning because you need X-rays and exam. She looked at my record and it says everything I had done. The office on Wedgewood the girl on the phone said she understood but it was an Aspen Policy. Aspen dental should re-examine their 'policy' or at least be flexible about it. This is ridiculous. read more

I was charged for a "deep cleaning" $350. The cleaning was anything but deep. I have had my teeth cleaned many, many times and I can assure you a 20 minute cleaning is not deep. Did not even polish my teeth... They are only interested in making money... It's hog wash when they say they care about your mouth and teeth... Will never return!!!! read more

I know I should have asked a lot more questions than I did - and partially the problem is 1/2 my fault. But, this business is a definate gyp joint. First off I had my freebies and I was informated I needed irrigation work on my gums and a wisdom tooth removed. Also some upper denture work. This was told by the dentist - from here you go to the office Manager - who works out the amounts and places them on a electronic clip board - One price are not broken down Next question how would you like to pay for this - Services, must be paid for in advance - regardless if your appointment is two months late. Okay, now I come to my appointment for two procedurers - I waited an hour because they were to busy trying to sell future clients. When, I did get to see the Dentist - I was told only one procedure was scheduled not two - Therefore, the Office manager did this in errorr. Now, again all my dental work is paid for. They set me up for another appointment 3 weeks from this time - and tell me I need to come back for a total of 4 times. I am telling you People BEARE OF THIS OPERATION. I have forward a letter to the BBB - and believe me I am sure they are going to be flooded with complaints from this establishment that is setting up all over Florida. I called to have a cap on my front tooth reattached. The tooth is still a very tight fit and only needs to be put back on. They told me it would be over three weeks before I could get it done. It takes about 15 minutes to do this and my ability to eat and my appearance (I look like a vampire) should be important enough to get me in in a few days. It wasn't. Recently had to get a new crown as the one I had gotten at a previous dentist had cracked. Made an appointment for only a few days out. I was greeted promptly and signed in. I waited around 5 minutes and was called back. Tammy was the assistant and was very personable. She got me ready and did the x_rays necessary to do a proper crown. Dr. Cline was the dentist he came in and was very polite and fast. I waited about week and went back to get the crown put on. Again everything was quick and everyone was very nice. I see a lot of negative reviews but I had no issues with them. They did the work I needed and did it well. Everyone was very nice and I will return again. The crown has been on for a month now and fits perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

0 stars not 1 My husband needed to see a dentist because he cracked a tooth with the root exposed at midnight on friday night. He was in extreme pain! this location was open on a Saturday. The facility was more concerned about a game plan for cleaning his teeth then they were about helping him get out of pain. They referred us to an oral surgeon on Monday but his pain was so great and with no sleep the night before that was not an option. They treated us like they were reading out of the "How to run an Aspen Dental Clinic" manual and not like an individual person with an emergency. My recent visit was very satisfactory. I only waited five minutes after arriving for my hygienist Kerri Barnes. As usual I found Kerri to be efficient and she took time to explain the procedure she was to perform before starting. She also told before starting what my cost would be for that visit. I met Dr. Patel for the first time as he did an oral exam. I do appreciate that the office air conditioning was turned to a reasonable temperature as often it is freezing. Aspen is the only office on my insurance and I know they are a high-volume provider so I was worried about going there. My worries were unfounded. Everyone is very friendly and takes as much time as needed to make sure your needs are taken care of. The front office staff is fabulous, keeping things running smoothly so wait times are short. Appointments are available within a week. They file your insurance for you. There are a few quirks, like not being able to request nitrous unless you're seeing the oral surgeon. But overall a good provider I would recommend. read more

Beware this practice has an extremely high turnover of staff! I used Aspen Dental for years in Moline, IL and they were wonderful. When I moved to this area I assumed I would get the same experience at the Lady Lake Aspen Dental. They have unfortunately disappointed me over and over and now I will NEVER return there. In the past they have charged for service not received. They present optional services like they are mandatory or a co-pay and then will backtrack when questioned. I have only seen a dentist one out of four visits. I have never had a cavity and go every six months for cleaning and check up. Today the new hygienist told me I needed a "deep cleaning" that would not be covered by my insurance. Luckily I had read some of these reviews and as you can see, I am not the first they have used this tactic on. The business is poorly run and they do not treat you like a valued patient and customer. The lack of continuity in the billing department and the hygienists makes it difficult to trust that they will bill your insurance accurately and provide you with quality care.
