My mother has not only been treated terribly 3 times for trying to get her dentures fixed after they were making her gums bleed and causing her immense pain (still incorrect and do not fit) but when she went today trying to get help Dr. Modi told my mother "I am done with you!" He was so unprofessional and very aggressive! He then proceeded to send an assistant in to try and convince my mother to get implants as if she would ever go back! Absolutely disgusting and terrible treatment at this facility. My mom is simply tired of being in pain and not feeling comfortable, but now she has to start all over because of this dentist. DR. Extremely Disappointing Experience at Aspen Dental - Middletown, OH I had the worst dental experience imaginable with Aspen Dental in Middletown, OH. My initial consultation was promising, with the staff assuring me everything would go smoothly, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. After my first appointment, I was told my dentures would be ready in two weeks, and the total cost for both top and bottom dentures would be $4,553.00. Since I had insurance and was a self-pay customer, I financed $1,200, leaving a balance of $3,353. I was excited and optimistic, especially after being told that my dentures would be ready so soon. Five days after my first visit, I paid the remaining $3,353.00 in full. However, just two days before my scheduled pick-up appointment, I received a voicemail requesting my insurance information, which was confusing since I had already prepaid in full. When I called back, I couldn't get through to anyone at the Middletown office and was transferred to their call center. They informed me the Middletown office was closed, with employees working from home. This was frustrating, especially considering the sensitive personal information they were handling while working remotely. It seemed like they had no idea what was going on. The next day, I finally spoke to someone who explained that the request for my insurance information was just a "standard practice" for patients without insurance. Despite prepaying, they assured me I could pick up my dentures the next day. But when I was just 10 minutes away from the office, I received another voicemail telling me my appointment was canceled due to a delay with my dentures. I called the office first thing in the morning to ask about the delay, and they said they couldn't give me an estimated time frame because "the lab was delayed." The worst part was that this was the first time they mentioned the delay, even though I had been in constant communication with them. After a bit of thought, I recalled them bragging about having an onsite lab, so I called back to ask for more details. It turns out the reason for the delay was that my scans had been incomplete - something they had failed to identify until the day before my appointment. The incompetence was astounding. Why hadn't this been caught in the two weeks since my first appointment? Why was I only finding out about this last-minute? They apologized and asked me to come in the following Monday to redo my scans and wait another two weeks for my dentures. I showed up Monday morning at 8:25 AM, only to be told I didn't have an appointment. After some back and forth, I was eventually told that the dentist who had done my scans had been fired. Then, a new dentist informed me that the pricing I was quoted was wrong. I had been given the incorrect location's pricing, meaning the $4,553.00 cost would now be increasing by $1,600. At this point, I was extremely frustrated. Not only had I been misled and given incorrect information from the start, but now they were asking me to come up with more money for their mistake. I was left with two options: pay the additional $1,600 at pick-up or get a full refund. I chose the refund, as the entire process had been nothing but a headache. I would not recommend Aspen Dental to anyone. Their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and constant mistakes left me feeling completely disregarded as a customer. I can only imagine the generic, unhelpful response they'll give to this review, but it only further proves that they're focused on money, not patient care. They will cancel your appointment right before their office closes for the day, say they provide "emergency dental care" but dont have the proper staff for such "care" rather, they will do a super fancy xray, tell you how "messed up" your teeth are and how they all need to be taken out and replaced with implants with costs around $13k AFTER insurance. Going in for emergency dental to have a couple teeth pulled, left 3 hours later with the teeth still in, because there was no oral surgeon and because they did all their xrays and poking around my mouth, I was in even more pain than when I left. read more

I just recently was at the Middletown office on Towne Blvd, I was treated with so much kindness and respect it was unreal. I felt like I was family. All the staff was in good spirits and smiling , but nobody made me feel more comfortable the Natalie, her energy was such a comfort to me and her Ability to lift my mood and calm my spirit was exactly what I needed. I'm so excited for my future appointments and growing relationships with aspen dental. I'm so grateful I found this place when I did. read more

Please don't go here. All they are concerned about is payment. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt now for over a year. Every time the receptionist is more concerned in connection to my account. They also predict what you might owe, so your flex plan can't make heads or tails of it in connection to the accounting. They should honestly charge until AFTER the insurance is billed. It's just gotten worse and now a crown Dr. Modi put in broke in less than 6 weeks. Because of the insurance and Aspen not using different crown materials I could be out more money. So presently have no tooth and owe until an appeal in 40 days. Very professional, easy to get financing if you have decent credit. All work done was successful and recovery was minimal. I got 5 cavity fillings and a bleaching. Went back for a follow up with extreme pain from recovery and was given medicine to help. 4 stars because they tried to force a cosmetic filling on me and even charged it to financing company when I explicitly told them I didnt want the work. They refunded the money immediately. It's a business, of course they are there to make money, but the Dr is good. IF you want free dental get a job with insurance. Otherwise, pay cash and bite the bullet like everyone else. Total work was 1500 dollars. Its a fair price to get my dental health in order/. read more

I scheduled my appointment and I received a phone call from them to confirm my appointment but I was unable to answer the phone and a voicemail was left for shortly afterwards I got another phone call from them and I confirmed my appointment with the lady on the phone. I showed up for my appointment and was told that did not confirm my appointment and would not be seen and the guy was rude. read more

Terrible and unprofessional. My daughter in I walk in , and we are ignored by the unprofessional front desk receptionist. She couldn't stop her personal conversation with another employee to even say hello. I went in with severe tooth pain. They forced me to see a hygienist, then when the dentist came in her main concern was all the total work I needed done. I told her I really couldn't think about all of the extras right now and was more concerned about this tooth. She then prescribed me an antibiotic to take for seven days, but informs me the oral surgeon won't be in for two weeks. She also stated that the pain would more than likely come back but they wouldn't prescribed more antibiotics. My thoughts on this were " oh you'll be in severe pain again but deal with it until the middle of the month" They are just there to make as much money as they can. Do not go there. read more

Worse dentistry I have EVER EXPERIENCED. The 1 star they received was a must to post this warning of the shotty work these offices perform. I spent thousands of dollars entrusting them to fix what was once a beautiful smile. Took over a year to complete my work and it was never right. I had to complain and file disputes till Parag Modi himself denied to correct my issues and overnighted me a FED EX letter instructing me never to contact or return to any Aspen Dentals. This office attempted to create a 5-tooth bridge which took them over a year due to their incompetence. Once placed in my mouth I expressed how it was incorrect. Many adjustments were made upon several return visits to finally the porcelain unbreakable bridge broke within 3 months due to improper fitting. I called, complained, and asked for another return appointment. I was promised a callback for an appointment due to Parag Modi having to be notified. The next morning I received a FED EX letter stating to NEVER RETURN. I didn't concur, I returned a call and was told the services were rendered and the 5-tooth bridge was created so the amount due was valid. How can this be? I have 5 teeth missing, which they pulled out to make my bridge, the whole top of my right side including the molars are missing and exposed, a broken bridge in a cup on my bathroom sink and I am liable for this atrocity. It's like going to a shoe store to buy a size 6 shoe they sell you a 10. They render the service of selling you a product but it does NOT FIT. What good is it if it doesn't perform what it is intended to do? Read their reviews, all complaints. Wish I would have read them first. Now I have to go find oral surgeons and get implants to fix the "dental work" I ENTRUSTED ASPEN DENTAL to do. It seems they get their dentist training from a U-Tube video and their licenses from Big Lots. Honestly, all jokes aside, I am screwed up and it's going to cost me thousands more to live out my life to where I can eat properly again and have my confidence back for what they have done to my appearance and oral regiment. I don't know about all the Aspens, I am referring to the Dayton Mall and Middletown offices. Since my employer used Aspen as our provider I had no choice. The Dayton Mall office did my work, after a year of waiting then placement of the improper fit I decided to go to another office expecting to get better care/treatment and it was Parag Modi himself that told me there was nothing he could do to fix this work. I tried to negotiate with him the funds he had already received to be put toward implants to correct this issue he declined. Modi owns all Aspens in this area. His actions showed me just how client caring he really is. A man that stands behind his profession. Charlotte at the Dayton Mall could run the place by herself. The ONLY one worth seeing, she is a true professional. The "dentist" that perform my work I later discovered through an attorney I had attempted to hire stated she had just graduated dental school approx. 6 months before I walked into her life then tried to perform a 5-tooth bridge. Now she has quit dentistry, left the state of Ohio to open a boutique in Texas. Good for her. And if I'm not mistaken but don't quote me I think Modi drives a Tesla. Really would have hurt him to just make an attempt to rectify the outcome of one of his offices/employees to allow one of his paying clients a reason to finally smile again. read more

I have a wisdom tooth that is coming in and causing an extreme amount of pain. I called Friday and explained my situation saying I needed to get it removed ASAP. They said that would not be a problem and scheduled me for Monday morning. I go in and they have to do the initial appointment with the x-rays and inspection, no problem. The receptionist then goes on to tell me that they have to charge me $281 for that since I'm not 21 (will be in January). If I was 21+ it would have been free, which makes no sense. I get the X-rays and exam done and the Dr was very rude and said he'd refer me to their oral surgeon who is in once a month. They should have said when I called that they were only in once a month, like every other place I called. When I asked if there was anything we could do he said no and walked out. I explained I'm in a lot of pain (unable to eat, smile, talk) even with medication. I'm very disappointed that I spent so much money for nothing and that the Dr was so rude, especially since if it had been 6 months later the visit would have been free. I was also ignored by the receptioist on my visit. Then I was taken back for xrays I didnt need, because I had already had some a few weeks earlier. I asked about pricing for the services I was inquiring about and almost fell to the floor. I went there because they were supposed to be cheaper but after they showed me there ridiculous plan. I said no thanks and walked out. I was told when I called it was a free consultation. However, I was billed 150.00 after that supposedly free visit. I Paid it and will never go back. read more
